  1. Awesome design of all the elements: water, kraken and boat!
  2. Very original build! Nicely done, allthough, from my experience the combination of feet and LEgo bricks is an unhappy one. I am not sure it will be comfortable to wear.
  3. There is some really great part usage in your build. As mentio ed the handcuffs but I like the helmers for flower pots aswell. Good stuff!
  4. Wow, what a way to introduce yourself in GoH. You, sir, have exceptional skill. And a nice selection of bricks. That too!
  5. Thanks everyone! Gabe: I don't know the first thing about ships hahaha. But I was inspired by the fishing ships I saw on Java past summer, added some arabic influences and there you go!
  6. Thanks for the replies! Here is a picture of the Narwhal from the side:
  7. A spice ship slides across the shallow seas that surround the spice islands. 'You know brother, standing on the prow will not get us any faster in Sultan's Gate' Crius said. 'You've been standing there since we left home. Perhaps we should call you Atlas the Static and be done with this name quest. I can certainly vouch for that name'. Atlas ignored his brothers jests. It was true he was anxious to set foot on the mainland. Sure as he was of the great deeds he would do and the proud name one of those deeds would earn him. 'It is easy for you to say Crius, you've had your given name since your fourteenth year. I am neigh 20 years and still have no worthy name to complement my first name. I do know posses your prowess or stamina that allowed you to dive to the deep and collect a razorshell for a spear. My skills lie somewhere else, though I don't know where yet. I just know it is somewhere beyond the horizon'. So Crius stood, watched and waited. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi guys, This is the first part in the continued adventures of Atlas. It is a first for me in many ways: first time writing a story, roleplaying and building a ship. I am quite happy with the result. Feedback is greatly appreciated!
  8. Very novel idea! Would look good great as a detail in an ever larger diorama. Might have to steal this idea sometime.
  9. Awesome build. The double tusked war elephant is a great idea. The dark blue barding fits very well! Good job!
  10. Looking at this I can hear the birds singing and the leaves rustling. Great scene.
  11. Simply stunning! So much inventive uses of pieces. Great stuff.
  12. Great ship with great attention to details. Allthough I do find the child-sized deckhand with chesthair and anchor tattoo a bit disturbing ;-)
  13. Wow! Excellent work. There is so much to look at. Any close up pictures of the crane?
  14. Wow! Both the house and the garden (?) are top notch!
  15. I've been searching Flickr for this; no luck with both the name of the builder or the build itself. Anybody else know if this builder has a flickr page?
  16. This looks great. Would look great on top of a tall pillar!
  17. Excellent build. The interior is very, very nice. One question: what is the part that attaches the pan to the brown rod?
  18. Really nice build! My favourite part is the window with the inbedded postbox. Thanks for posting this!
  19. Classic set! I wonder if a modular castle line like in the 80's would be feasible.
  20. Awesome build all around. The troll and the bridge use very innovative ideas. Cool!
  21. Simply awesome. How is the wall constructed?
  22. I love the rams head. It looks fierce.
  23. Really great. It has a very middle eastern look. I love it!
  24. My, my, my the ammount of flak around here is staggering. I for one like it. The mine section looks great. The colors are nice and it looks rather solid (appropiatly bulky). Smaug looks big and intimidating enough and the prospect of foldable wings is also nice. In terms of the figures provided: you are limited by the source material and I can understand why LEGO wouldn't want too many duplicates spread about the sets yet wanted enough of the dwarves in the other sets as selling points. It's a tough balance I guess. The price is a tad bit high but that goes for all the LOTR sets.
