Unrest in the Forest, Day 2: Fly By Night
jimmynick replied to Walter Kovacs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"It makes sense that they wouldn't want us to know Alastair is scum; therefore Alastair is scum." Say that again and see if you believe it the second time around. -

Two maple attacks? What have you been smoking ? I thought that is the most likely option. I recall reading a story about another time there was trouble in a Forest, and the scum janitored a townie who was under great suspicion. The town worked off the assumption that said townie was, in fact, scum, leading to mass confusion, lots of deaths and a Lumberjack win. Let's not jump to conclusions. The next-simplest explanation is that the Elder Alden Alder and the loggers already have a list of the trees that can and can't become tree stumps? But then that would deny us the alignments of trees who don't become tree stumps. I'm sticking to the janitor. -

"I think Alastair is scum but I'm not going to commit to it so I can tell you 'I told you so' later"? Did I catch that right? -

The "you will all be sorry when I'm gone" can be used by a townie. I recall quite well the time I did it when I went to a Cosplay Party. It's very nice for you to have an opinion about Catarina - in fact, the same opinion that others (including Barry Cherry and I) have about her. Would you care to share why you don't think Alastair is a maple? That's just a thought you threw in without any explanation. -

I beg to disagree; we have plenty of things to work with right now. Hazel threatening to vote for a random person and hiding behind a purported bad connection, Alastair almost pretending to scrutinize Hazel. There's also Chester Chestnut who is concerned about looking like he's on a bandwagon. Other people are suspicious of Berty Birch for thinking all Oaks are Garden Variety. There was the Alejandro discussion as well. There's so much going around that to say "well, shucks, it's Day One so we can't reasonably be expected to do anything useful" sounds like a cop-out, and it sounds like you don't actually want to get anything done today. -

What's a Mapl? Why are you afraid of looking like you're on a bandwagon? To be honest, there are several votes for Alastair at this point, and I have given one of them, but I am perfectly comfortable with it because Alastair is wishy-washy in taking BS from Hazel and so on. On that note, What is this? You would rather find a maple than save your own skin? You're giving up? Do you mean to say you'd gladly vote for Hazel again for the sake of voting rather than for actually believing she's a maple? And, to be perfectly honest, your single vote for Hazel would do nothing to take pressure off yourself since you have several votes against you and you've already demonstrated that your opinion flaps around in the breeze more easily than the underwear you see dangling off trees when you ride ski lifts. -

Whoa, quite a lot happened when I was out... It's not my fault I think you're like a bottle of maple syrup. Also, there's a huge difference between "expressing suspicion" and "trying to get rid of" - you're blowing two pre-voting critics way out of proportion. Is it possible you're hyper-aware of everything you do and what people say about you because you're scum? It's because you back down when confronted with what is, quite clearly, BS. I mean, manure is nice and all because it keeps my roots fertilized, but not when we are at risk of getting chopped down by those loggers! I feel very torn between Catarina and Alastair... Vote: Alastair Pear (Brickelodeon) -

Quit waffling and say something substantial then. Have your roots run dry of things to say that aren't puns? You've already been pointed out but I want people to remember you posted for the sake of posting. Ditto. Fishing much? And, Bruce, what happened to Catarina now that you're officially Alejandro? -

You know, before you said that, Nash's agreement that you (Alejandro) should come to the front weirded me out a little bit. But maybe this is his Oakiest of the Oaks schtick: -

I agree. I know that Simon Persimmon usually keeps stories pseudonymous and close to his trunk - but it seems strange that Alejandro would want to be so secretive in accusing William Willow of mapley-ness when William had, until then, posted puns in the first page of the thread. As William said, drama is afoot aroot arrowroot. -

I don't think so; in a recent incident involving a council of the ents, there was a Treebeard of sorts who walked very quickly, and he announced that all those who did not contact him would be considered... uhh... whatever the enemies of the ents are. Sorry, I've never read the Lord of the Rings - it's hard to hold books when you only have branches. No, it's not. I think you're sucking up. -

Yeah, I thought with 25 players we'd more than likely have 6 scum. We might have to pun-ish Buck Poplar for getting serious so soon. Count on me to post twice... oops. -

That's a mouthful. Yeah, let's do the thing where we find the maples. Yeah, I haven't got over the time they beat the Blackhawks in November. -
Pretty nice! The way you held the roof together is cool, and the facade with the canopies is just snazzy.

It helps that most of our names are alliterative or rhyme. I've got my name in my signature, so we all know where to find Mr. Walnut. -

The URL doesn't *have* an image extension - I imagine that's why the board won't allow it. If I post an image like this: it clearly has a .png at the end of the URL. If you are dead set on not making another email address, you could try Brickshelf instead.
