This is where you're wrong. Because Americans love to pound on this imaginary soccer vs football distinction. By "football" do you mean "American" or "Canadian" or "Australian Rules" or "rugby union" or "rugby league"? Those sports have special names because "football", to most people around the world who aren't trying to be pedants, means the "kick the ball around the pitch until it goes in the goal" game. -

We don't need comments like this. The world is bigger than just the US. -

I saw this on Instagram and thought "this has to be a hoax" but if it's real then . This is the best news for Man Utd supporters in several years! -
The shape is good (engines are great!) but the windscreen around the cockpit is a bit dodgy. Maybe if you built the cockpit studs-out (like the other recent Moldy Crow MOC) you'd be able to capture the shape of the cockpit glass better. Thanks for sharing, and welcome to Eurobricks!

Ooh, those are nice greebles, with just enough repetition and variety to make it work. Thanks for sharing it over here, otherwise I wouldn't have seen it.

This is my second major MOC of the year, and in a way it marks my seventh anniversary on this board. If you've ever seen Morse, Lewis or Endeavour, this building is instantly recognizable. The Radcliffe Camera was built in the mid 18th Century as an independent library in Oxford. After approximately a century, the library was absorbed into the Bodleian Libraries and its science collection was moved to what is now the Radcliffe Science Library (although that building will soon be converted into Parks College). The Radcliffe Camera maintains a collection today but is largely used as a reading room. This MOC was built in Mecabricks and rendered in Blender. The building itself comprises approximately 2000 pieces and the base another 1500. Thanks for looking!

Me too - only a couple stand out as excellent to me: Berlin, Shanghai, and now Tokyo. I'd much rather see a full-sized Burj al-Arab model than a wee little thing in the middle of a skyline featuring the Burj Khalifa (and how many times has TLG released that building now?). Why not a proper Golden Gate Bridge or something? I know landmarks can be hard to tune to the public's interests, but I feel there are plenty of iconic buildings out there with more than just a niche following that would make good Architecture models. I could definitely get behind these suggestions, among others.

Do you have any pictures of this effect? It would be nice to see. -
[Review] #75267 Mandalorian Battle Pack
jimmynick replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
These are some excellent figures but I feel like they're a little too unique now. The older Mando BP suffered from 4 clone figures, like the ones you see in the KotOR games, but we've swung a bit far in the other direction. At least we can mix and match parts and bring back some of the more drab helmets to make a varied Mandalorian army. May pick this up for myself in due course. Thanks for reviewing the set, @Bob De Quatre! -
Hi Steve. I'm not from Texas but I wanted to welcome you to the board. I hope you share some of your builds with us soon!

Hello mukkes, and welcome to EB! I'm glad building the Ideas treehouse has inspired you, and thank you for sharing your log cabin with us. I hope to see more of what you have to build in the future!

They did make the DB5... But anyway, this is great. Thanks for sharing. I love the crater entrance, Little Nellie, the control room. Such an action-movie icon, and you did a wonderful job making it. -
Very true. I agree. Star Wars movies are not high cinema; they are fun space opera adventures. And the new movie does the job.

What a lovely build - I like how tastefully you've incorporated the pearl gold railings into the balconies. I also appreciate the use of that 6-sided plant part as a table. Thanks for sharing! I just noticed too the flexible parts used to make the domes - very creative!

[MOC] The 19th Century Museum of Science and Technology
jimmynick replied to lech's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I kept half an eye on this as you developed it on Flickr, mostly because of the breathtaking dome, but there are many other details to appreciate. The trees, the window frames, the interior decoration: all wonderful. -
I watched the new Star Wars today and thought it was weird.

[Review] #75273 Poe Dameron's X-wing Fighter
jimmynick replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The offset wings are interesting and the engine cowlings are slick with the new pieces, but $90 for an X-wing? Really? -
I don't have a very good photo setup because I'm not in the habit of building physically, but here's my contribution: a tree weighed down with ice after a storm:

I got the UCS Porg to give to someone at Christmas. Don't tell them though!

Have fun and take care. Legoland Windsor is really fun (or at least it was last time I visited more than fifteen years ago). If you want to extend your LEGO adventure, check out the shop in Leicester Square.
