  1. Those cylinders look awesome. My hats off to Jaaptechnic for doing such a outstanding work.
  2. Here is my next development with my custom JB LEGO part. In order to get this part where it is now I had to go through 3 phases in construction 6 in total. In the beginning I had to remove and reattach one of the bushings on the part because it didn't sit flush with the rest of them. Can you tell which on it is??? While this part is very needed I am going to continue to expand on this LEGO Technic pattern and uncover it mysteries. Right now the total number of bushings on this part is 13, I plan to add 6 more to complete the 3rd layer of bushings which brings the total number of bushings to 19.
  3. It could possibly be used as a digital counter but a digital clock it is not.
  4. What is the study about, Aesthetics? Never mind I see the study is about team work. Get a bunch of LEGO bricks and see what you can do and go from there.
  5. Its not a geiger counter.
  6. That is a good guess. To think about it, Ive seen thermometers that look like that on some vehicles but its not a thermometer. No spring here.
  7. It is not exactly a Rectifier. But it can hold a use that is similar.
  8. I like the parts with Studs on both sides Here is an idea I would like to share with you, take this 1x2x2 panel part and put the studs on both top and bottom. I find my self needing this kind of part for my next LEGO creation but here it must fit inside a 20mm spacing and that panel part is 19mm from top to bottom and that is without the studs. It works but there is a small 1mm gap where the bottom of the panel is from the brick bottom edge.
  9. Depends on how you look at the keyboard. Specifically that part is not underneath a keyboard but a variant of it is. A place that you could probably see this part Is on a cheap remote for a TV.
  10. @DrJB Very interesting, that is a good idea. However it is not a touch sensor but it could be a used as a train sensor for LEGO that is for sure... @Andy D Well you must look at the mystery LEGO and guess what it supposed to be.There is alot going on there and multiple ideas are being projected just thought this one picture. The mystery LEGO doubles also as a MOC of a button on a keyboard while at the same time the LEGO Round Plate that severs as the image that would be printed on the button. That is what I am trying to convey with my hint in the quote here. Even the square purple 1x1 tile was supposed to be a sort of hidden clue for the button. If you sit down in front of a keyboard there is a chance that there are at least 100+ of them in front of you.
  11. Look awesome, I'm a Big fan of SC. The siege tank needs some color on it and a decal, right now it looks like its apart of the Grey Terran. GOT MECH?
  12. That would be awesome! In real life its to maximizing racing performance. For LEGO it will probably be for the looks unless LEGO makes motor and drive train strong enough to do burn outs.
  13. Those bearings look and sound awesome, plastic bearings that need no oil. I know these metal bearings here have grease packed in them. Plastic bearings would be incredible to see in regular LEGO. The potential uses for them would be interesting to see. What kind of uses would you like to see bearings be used for?
  14. Well right now I suppose Yes that is what it is but in the future it is going to work. All I need is the sensor and I'm ready to complete it. I don't even know if the sensor will fit inside the Lego cylinder part, Time will only tell on that... I plan to connect the sensor up to the PF wires. Look at the bottom of the picture here you can see a part of the PF wire poking out. Barely even noticeable. There is also a coin battery inside and a green and red LED.
  15. This is not really new though. I've seen Technic parts in LEGO set since I can remember. Check out the Time Cruiser theme, Lots of uses of Technic parts in there.
  16. Look at that, So you didn't use a circular saw after all and you used a hobby file instead. Smart! Do you know how to get that shiny look back on LEGO?
  17. Here is a look at my next part. Bearings! I've been working on this for awhile now so I got a couple of Ideas at the moments on how I want to make the bearings work. One method is by trying to fit regular Technic axle but because its a Metal Hole then a Metal Axle.
  18. What about Technic theme. How would you include Technic Theme. It has figures also, are they giants... Time cruisers has Technic parts so Time cruiser must have technology from the giants, which brings this question up when and where did they receive this wonderful tech and are Time cruiser responsible for the distribution of this tech across time. Also think about this there was that episode where Space Ghost and Batman can be seen together. So does that mean there is a chance of a Space Ghost Theme LEGO in the near future... I cross my fingers.
  19. @Breakdown Awesome, That is a clean cut and looks very good but that is so dangerous to push a stack of 1x2 LEGO bricks across the circular saw blade. I know that to must have took several tries. I'm glad you wore safety glasses and work out the way you wanted. @paul_delahaye He used the Circular saw. SUCCESS!!! says it all.
  20. Those are all good guesses but it is not a radon gas detector, smoke detector, fireplace starter remote, or Ghostbuster trap, nor does it detect sound waves. The device is said to have many uses and that means it has many names that is the hint for today.
  21. Think about it and keep guessing. Its not a remote to detonate anything like a bomb or remote to launch a catapult. I will give you a little clue to what you see at the end, it is not a antenna but its a sensor.
  22. Dr_spock that is correct, it is a button. Now that you know what it is, its time to guess what it does. Here is a look at the device I'm building that uses the button in the picture above. Can you figure out what it is going to do. Your exactly right, Its dealing with connections, Like the menus that appear on the TV screen and such can be recognize as a type of virtual button. The touch screens today make access to these virtual buttons be done with ease. That is what I'm trying to convey with the metaphysical aspect behind it.
  23. Once the part is guessed then we can move on to what it does. Its more then a Group of LEGO pieces. Its not a cell. But what is in the picture needs a cell of some sort... That is close DrJB. A remote control has plenty of these.... Not even. Its not alive... yet.
  24. That is a good guess dr_spock. But its not a IR receiver. There is more to that picture then meets the eye. All the LEGO parts that are listed is right except two.
  25. Getting warm their DrJB. Good guess, tho its not a shadow. Even though its can be seen as a non tangible object it still can be plenty useful for a TV. Its not a pixel either. It not apart of a real eye but it certainly apart of a fake eye.
