  1. yup yup and yup. i dont know why people are so excited about it. you can still get 8421 for reasonable price. i doubt this will be any much different. quite "meh" flagship :( service truck might save the day though. might be great set.
  2. the onl thing that is good about this set - wheels.... not my cup of tea at all. bad color too. shapeless... meh... what lego should really do is to make one more set with these wheels. price of those wheels will be soon bigger then second hand model it self...
  3. I was wondering if a crane was a good choice for flagship? There are plenty of older one sealed for sale at around 115eu. Surely it was not a great seller so. So why do it again? Looks like in 2013 I will be hunting down for older models. Instead off looking forward to current ones.
  4. Well this is going to be my next technic for sure. It's half a meter long! Daaaaaaaamn!!! :D You lucky buggers in uk, you pricing is not as bad as here. Any idea when we will see this set on amazon or lego online shop? Argos is not getting my money! And yes, thanks for review. Looks like it is a great set for parts alone.
  5. Ah, our childhood. I remember a small set 8828 was biggest set I owned. I got it as Xmas present while I was in hospital. I loved it. Unfortunately all my lego is lost to me :(. I checked it and I could pick up same set for 8eu. It is a bit sad, that something that was soooooo expensive for you back in the day now is at same price as a meal in McDonald's :(. For example I spent 350eu on 3 lego sets for Xmas alone as an adult now. Broke my dark age this Xmas and I am finally having fun again.
  6. thank you! i need to get finger out and start building the rest of my sets. i tried yesterday to get some tray/boxes in local shops, but could not get my hands on anything decent! :( went in to local shop and only thing they had were those food containers. quite small and 12eu per pop... no way!
  7. define "good". for some people good is pictures done by iphone 3gs 2megapixel camera, for some pictures taken by Nikon D7000 are very bad quality. i dont know if 4s would be named as investment. you would be better off with samsung S3 asits camera is a lot better then 4s, though if you still want to keep with iphone, then iphone 5 camera is rally damn good, but if i would be thinking seriously about camera in my phone i would go with nokia lumia 920 or nokia 808, you just cant beat 41megapixel camera in a phone!
  8. T900OON, thx for pics bud. i will deffo go for this, but i will wait for other retailers to have it in stock. no way i will pay argos 120eu for it!
  9. isnt supercar 8070 is going under too? they took it off from lego website too.
  10. even if its not going to win i will still want those blueprints m8. i dont mind paying for them. your bad boy is just great!
  11. nice one m8! any chance to show us pics of alternative model? at least box picture? It does look massive. quite a good selection of parts too. any chance of rear pictures? maybe engine bay opened? and what sort of power functions they are on about? i have to say this model really really grows on me!
  12. That service truck is class. I really like it. Though monster truck is sort of disappointment :(. Dunno how I feel about crane as I am not a huge fan of heavy machinery like this. Btw is it for me on the phone pics are horribly low resolution? Or they are such resolution?
  13. Nice one m8. If you got android or iPhone them get yourself photobucket app. Toucan set it automatically upload your photos online and toucan get forum type links to post here. Photobucket cambe used easily on PC and on phone.use it myself m8.
  14. T900OON nice one. Will you be able to post some pics with some other model or item for scaling? Will you be able to to show alternative model too? Part count? It should be really a lot of parts if it is unmotorised for 119eu.
  15. Any place to buy that book in Europe? Or at least ebook?
  16. Sorry cant quote on mobile version, Pedro Antunes, but I agree on pricing. This looks like in a region of that pick up truck region. Non motorised and similar part/size place. 59.99eu for that truck was very very fair. This F1 car should not be more then 80eu. I guess lego charging that much, because they can :(
  17. Hmmm I don't want to be that guy, but don't we have enough tow truck things? Dunno about crane too :(. We got the logging truck which will be prety much same. Damn, I wish they would just post those pictures already! :)
  18. What sort of function it will add though? Opening engine hood only? A bit weird. 79£ ain't that bad. 120eu for us here is a bit steep.
  19. aye, just checked irish argos and it is listed. 120eu though and no power functions at all. it should be a massive thing then for that price! out of stock here though. i wonder when we will be able to get it from amazon or other retailers.
  20. monster truck is right my alley! i love technic, but i love the cars/trucks/off roaders a lot more. was very disspointed by first batch announced :(. the only thing i would look forward was an F1 car, but even then i am not an F1 fan. so any ideas when will be the second half released? mid summer? and what about the flagship?
  21. i got all this for my xmas.i was planing on building all 3 yesterday, but managed only one. for a cheap set the recovery truck is just awesome! way more complicated then i expected! still got 2 more to go!
  22. Well I went crazy. I finally decided to pull the trigger and get back to lego as an adult. So I started from scratch this week. Xmas was a great excuse to get lego as presets and misses did not mind at all. I got for myself technic sets: 4x4 crawler - ordered from lego.com and got it on wensday. Huge box! Supercar - ordered on amazon, but will get it only on 27th :(. I needed to cop on earlier. Tow truck - picked it up in local toy store today. Looks great and has a great selection of parts for the price. I ordered 20eu worth of parts from a fella today too. Mostly technic bits. So yeah! Can't wait for Xmas morning when I will be putting all this together! *i hope misses shadowhearth won't divorce me...
  23. I remember about 20 years ago there were shops, which were selling only lego! It was fantastic! All the smaller ones were on bottom shelfs and all the big ones were on the most top shelfs! It's a shame all of them gone. :( there is only one toy store in local town ( it's small town though ) and selection of lego is brutal. The biggest technic sets were yellow helicopter and tow truck, which I bought. :(
  24. Wow, and I though lego was for building and having fun :(
