  1. Just heads up, 42000 is available on LEGO.com. 89eu. Great price if you ask me. Maybe later on it will be cheaper on amazon, then ill grab one more.
  2. It is on lego.com already. its only 89eu so even if some design bits are bad, it is still a great value. Today was a bad day for my wallet lol
  3. Why we only want heavy machinery? Or thats the only thing we are allowed to like? +1 On that Quarry truck. thats a heavy machinery i would not mind to build! Maybe Garbage truck too. I am not a fan of heavy machinery, so i would like more 4X4 stuff or Dakar Rally machinery. What about normal cars too? It does not have to be Super cars all the time, but something like fast sedans - M5, Merc S class. Sports coupe?
  4. Its like choosing between your own kids? I could really use those smaller wheels for mocs. Part selection looks great too. On the other hand logging truck has some nice parts. Bah.... ill just buy a set of "friends" and know my place!
  5. What would you recommend? Flatbed or Logging truck? They are at same price on bricklink. I am really getting a liking to Flatbed, because of the panels alone. Its like panel goldmine if you ask me.
  6. this is, how i build: I found that those food containers are just perfect for storage and building lego. Usually I got instructions on middle screen, but crawlers instructions were a mess. I sort in to 3 sections my parts. large, medium, small parts.
  7. I personally love 4x4 crawler and if you are planing on building more car/truck/4x4 stuff then crawler is a Clear winner with 2xlarge motors, servo motor and mk2 IR receiver. I forgot to add remote! Unimpg is class and that is on my to buy list, but it is fantastic set, but not fantastic PF set, if that makes any sense. Supercar is a lovely set, I love it a lot, but I don't really think it needed power function at all. Don't bother with it at all. Great build and lots of cool parts, but not a great PF set again. That dual remote excavator with 4 motors is a freaking awesome PF set. I am not in to the heavy machinery at all, but I would really not say no to that baby!!!
  8. Oh, i only checked now again and sow your little pet to be in first place! I knew public will come around! удачи!!! *I can speak and read Russian, but i cant type well in kyrilica, sorry...
  9. Very cool and with very clever ideas. what motor are you using for it? it looks damn crazy fast.
  10. you are missing the point. I personally LOVE red/white theme. For someone like me the issue is that they mixed in colours that should not be in there. I dont like yellow bits in engine bay and fully black chassis would look a lot better. Like it or not, there is a reason why they use some of those random colours. It is to help younger builder, which is something that makes sense and we should just respect that as it is a Child's Toy.
  11. Aye, hands down. Lego designers have really clever solution when it comes to the set models. In fairness only after you have it fully built you can see it all come together and go " Awwwwwwww, now thats clever". They really think out their build and make some simple solution a bit more too complicated, but i guess it is a good thing. It shows you how to do it hard way and you can improve on it, or even better: it will teach you that particular technique so you can use it in your own mocs. I know a lot of people are not fans of 4x4 crawler, but while I was working on its chassis I really though it was a very cool and interesting design choice. Overcomplicated, but it was still very very clever and interesting. I guess the only thing that i would love Lego to improve on is colour choice. In 42000 review it is called "color vomit", which is very accurate description of a problem. Colours can be all over the place. I was not expecting any yellow parts in 42000, but holy Bejaysus they went mad with it in engine bay. I know why lego is doing it and as an adult i understand, whatever helps fellow younger lego brother is always good. If lego can, maybe it could improve colour choice. I really dislike the blue pin move. I loved when those were neutral black. Opinion is opinion, it is not right or wrong. You as individual can agree or disagree with it. In my opinion the flagship model of 2013 is bad or "meh". This is my opinion. Its not right or wrong. Other person will say that it is a great choice, because A, B and C. That is his opinion and it is not right or wrong. Thats the beauty of forums like this where opinions clash. One side can help out other side to understand things on the subject. For example i was completely opposed flagship as a crane, but it really grows on me now and it does interest me a lot. I never built cranes, so something like this might be a lot of fun and i could learn more. All thanks to having both sides having a say on it. Obviously you get people who are just plain DUMB and all they care is: ITS NOT 100% LIKE I WANTED!!!!! Thats why we got a gift of common sense, where we can ignore those people and have an adult discussion with the ones who understand how the world works ;).
  12. Well opinions are like ***holes, everyone has one. Just because someone said something it does not make it right or wrong. Its opinion. That is the beauty of common sense.
  13. Finally, finally someone manned up and made such thread! ( again ) I was waiting for it, and it is finally here! ball is rolling so ill just add up! *I just completely hate how independent eurobricks forum is! Can you imagine?! in 21st century people are allowed to discuss topics. Madness. Its a step too far. This thing "forums" is a bane of our society and should not be tolerated! *These forums, should be changed. There should be only allowed two types of topics. On type would be complete praise of Set X, MOC X. the other type of threads should be "I am not happy with all this, you should be too, lets show our unhappiness by making this thread" *Opinions should be completely banned. The only thing you can say in any single thread: "This is great, awesome, lovely, amazing". you might use "Very cool, but i am not a fan of it", but it is if you are very cheeky. usually it will mean that you will get a 24h ban for such statement. Its for people who love to be cool and live on the edge. *Criticism should not be allowed on these lands. Surely criticism gives improvement in the long run, but hurting someone's feelings, because their creation is a bit off and could use some changes to make it better is play WRONG! Think of the FEELINGS first! Criticism is devils evil right hand!!! *NO MORE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK! ONLY GOOD! EVERYTHING IS PERFECT! NO OPINION! MEEEEE! MEEEEEE! MEEEEEE! * turns in to sheep and runs off! *sarcastic mode overloaded and host exploded taking half of the small town population.
  14. I actually missed in local adverts buggy set with box and all bits for 70eu. I was too late and an idiot to miss out on that! I hope OP wont mind if i ask this here too: any dangerous things to look after when you buying second hand motors on bricklinks? Do these motors wear out fast? Big chance of buying half dead motor second hand?
  15. That really is a thing i don't understand about Lego instructions, they cant keep consistency. Some steps are just for brain dead monkeys. insert 1 pin HERE, next step! Then you get in to the step which drops you 8 parts on already heavily built chassis and you have to do detective job to fit those, as it does not show the fitting path.
  16. Pull out every second page out of manual! then go " CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! " That will surely bring the challenge back in to your life! But nah, i agree, soon they will in print part number on each part so instructions will be even easier, oh wait... I remember back in the day i could assemble any of my sets with no instruction and almost step by step as in instruction! Good old days, when my brain was still young and snapy! I know we are derailing it a bit, but this set is great example of "colour vomit" ( OP, trademark it! ). This whole yellow pieces thing inside the engine is just.... stupid... the chassis red/black. At least red and black are very handy colours and most of us can use them in mocs.
  17. I personally think its due to making it a bit more easier to younger lego fans building these. I personally Hate it same way OP does it, but i guess it is childs toy in the first place. I discovered that Lego decided to put Blue pins EVERYWHERE no matter what main colour themes are, which is very very annoying.
  18. Great review. I know the hub thing was quite a disappointment, but it is still quite an impressive model. I love the huge selection of panels, looks like it is back on my list to buy!
  19. Well I guess I putted away my lego at age of 14-15. I drifted away with a help of video games, PC hardware/software, learning programming/web design. I got back in to lego on Xmas of 2012. I was planing on buying another upgrade for my PC, but one of the lads in gaming forum started a thread about lego as adult. I started doing more research and discovered how far lego gone in technic world. All the fantastic creation and truc trial reallyade my jaw drop. So great thing about Xmas presents when it comes toe and misses. We set up a budget and buy ourselfs whatever we want as as presents. So I ended up ordering 350eu worth of lego technic online lol! Now I am looking for next sets to buy so I can start doing my own mocs. So many choice. So little money :) . Sad things is I lost all my childhood lego. There is no way getting it back due to some life events. :( . The other sad ( or good ) thing that I started looking for those sets second had I had. The biggest set I had worth only 20eu now. So all that lego that I had in childhood was quite a small amount. For me it was the biggest pile of lego ever imagined. It gave me so much entertainment for years. It's quite amazing how important it was for me back then and it's sort of sad as how it is unveluable these days.
  20. Cheers! I need that wire and only that one? correct?
  21. I must be bumping a very old thread, but i dont know much about RC buggy motor. Can i use servo motor, buggy motor, V2 IR receiver and remote control combo? Looksl ike i could get an RC buggy motor for around 30eu, but will i need other buggy parts for mocs? I dont really want to spend 200eu on RC buggy set :(
