Fantastic results. Even if some local details could still be improved, the global rendering is wonderful. It is nested with myriads of details and truly provides an excellent impression of Coruscant day to day life. Keep on the good work.

Being a fan of color swapping myself (see my A-wings and Y-wings), I can only applaud your job here. Very nice and wonderful result.

Thank you all for your constructive feedback. I had started to replace only the yellow bricks by the dark green ones. When seeing the result, I decided to expand further. The goal for me is to further explore the expanded universe by also showing ships that would have their place inside the SW universe. Note that with the recent mixel serie, I am contemplating building a purple version...

After having modified the old Y-Wing from 1999 (pictures at the bottom of this post), I had decided to proceed similarly with the more recent 9495 version. This time I applied a dark green color pattern and some light additional greebling. Y-Wing Green Squadron by Veynom, on Flickr Y-Wing Green Squadron by Veynom, on Flickr This pictures shows some of the details that were added to the model: Y-Wing Green Squadron by Veynom, on Flickr Y-Wing Green Squadron by Veynom, on Flickr Y-Wing Green Squadron by Veynom, on Flickr And the old blue modified version based on the official Lego set from 1999: Y-Wing Blue by Veynom, on Flickr Y-Wing Blue by Veynom, on Flickr The main reason for these variants is variety of course. When exposing during a Lego fair, you may decide to have 4 or 5 yellow Y-Wings or have some unique ships. I think tend to believe the later is better for the public. Comments welcome

It is immediately recognizable. I love how you used the fences, it simply looks great. Very original built. A nice entry for the SHIPtember.

Thank you. It is actually quite stable when displayed vertically. The ring is stronger than what it looks like. The weak points are the 4 head antennas that are attached through a single stud each, on a dish. Because of that, it can't be swooshed. Without the antenna, it can. :) Thank you all for the very nice comments.

Here is my entry for the 2015 SHIPtember contest: a deep space ship, the Mantrisse-class Exploration Ship. Length: 121 studs (97 cm) Width: 78 studs(62 cm) Coulours: green, light grey (old & bluish), metal (the 12V rails) This is my 4th SHIP (ship longer than 100 studs) and 2nd one this year. Mantrisse-class Exploration Ship in orbit of new planets by Veynom, on Flickr I started this SHIP quite late in the month, on the 23rd exactly, mainly because until the 21st I was too busy with the preparation of BrickMania Seneffe. Speaking of BMS, I still have several MOCs/MODs to take picture of. Mantrisse-class Long Range Exploration Ship by Veynom, on Flickr Inspiration came with a couple of meta-bricks I received during BrickMania Seneffe and that I finally did not use. :-p The bulk of the Mantrisse body is composed of grey train rails from the 80's, including some of these rails used to conduct electricity. I used the latter to give a different color pattern and texture. In the end, everything got relatively easily built and the ring just fits perfectly. Mantrisse Eploration Ship by Veynom, on Flickr My inspiration sources are based on European graphical novels from Leo and his Aldébaran universe along with his Mantrisse but also Jacobs and his Enigma of the Atlantide. Mantrisse Eploration Ship by Veynom, on Flickr Close-up on the head of the Mantrisse: Mantrisse Head by Veynom, on Flickr I waned and needed to change the general "ship mast" aspect of the Mantrisse. The inclination angle of the 4 antennas makes me now think to a carnivorous flower or some kind of alien head. Mantrisse Head by Veynom, on Flickr The 4 antennas are only attached through a single stud. It is stable when the ship is standing vertically on a table but it will fall down when moved horizontally. The latte minor inconvenient would not exist in space where there is no gravity. More details regarding the engines: Mantrisse Exploration Ship by Veynom, on Flickr And another space scene: Mantrisse in Space by Veynom, on Flickr Some WIP pictures : Day 1 :: 23/09/2015 SHIP WIP day 1 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 4 :: 26/09/2015 SHIP WIP 2 by Veynom, on Flickr Quite happy with the results in the end. :)

A difficult to complete MOC, directly inspired by the French Sillage comics from Jean-David Morvan & Philippe Buchet. Here is the original drawing that was my inspiration source: Erradikor 7 - Original Drawing by Veynom, on Flickr It took me several days to start with the hull (for which I applied a classic space pattern) but then it took me several weeks to complete the model. I wasted a few more weeks just to take some pictures of it manily because it was built during winter and I wanted some decent light. The model is too large for my small photo studio or maybe my photo studio is too small. In the end it still took me a few more weeks just to start with the necessary picture editing but ultimately, here it is. Long and hard work but not too bad as a result I particularly enjoyed the truly atypical hull shape of that little beast measuring 80cm long. Thanks to these 80cm (and that little s2S antenna), it can proudly enter the S.H.I.P. category. Conquistador-class Star Destroyer Erradikor 7 by Veynom, on Flickr s2S stands for "ship to S.H.I.P." ;) The Erradikor 7 in action: Erradikor 7 in Space by Veynom, on Flickr Sitting on its display stand: Conquistador-class Star Destroyer Erradikor 7 by Veynom, on Flickr Conquistador-class Star Destroyer Erradikor 7 by Veynom, on Flickr It was a not so easy greebling exercise of all kind on each side, without even talking about the numerous antennas, arms, and other pitots. Conquistador-class Star Destroyer Erradikor 7 by Veynom, on Flickr The front view clearly emphasise the two-headed front part of the monster. This was clearly my favourite part in this design. A few close-ups: Erradikor 7 - Underside close-up by Veynom, on Flickr Erradikor 7 - Underside by Veynom, on Flickr Erradikor 7 - Main body top view by Veynom, on Flickr Erradikor 7 - Main body upper view by Veynom, on Flickr Erradikor 7 - Rear view by Veynom, on Flickr Some picture editing tentatives:. Erradikor 7 in a mission by Veynom, on Flickr Erradikor 7 is destroyed by Veynom, on Flickr Sadly, you will not get the chance to see it for real as it already returned to a pile of bricks.

Very nice one and thank you for the LDD.

I replaced the plate by tiles and put a smaller sticker (scan, photoshop, print). Not too bad.
-
Very nice piece of junk with just the MOD it needs. Nice radar. Maybe you could center the 1x8 tiles and place 1x1 tiles at the corners for symmetry reason.

Back to publishing MOC with this Imperial Troop Transport. Imperial Troop Transport by Veynom, on Flickr It is based on the Kenner toy from the 80's and that I owned before selling it. (argh) This version is different from the SW Rebels version, mainly because of the front curved face. I also used as inspiration source the LDD model available on Rebrickable. Imperial Troop Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Imperial Troop Transport by Veynom, on Flickr I fully redesigned the side passenger pods, the roof, the turred and the radar. The rear side also use a different greebling. Imperial Troop Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Detailed cockpit with room for playability... Imperial Troop Transport by Veynom, on Flickr I decided to keep a large room inside the vehicle in order to park a small speeder or a portable canon. My son truly loves putting stuff inside this vehicle.
