Thank you very much for this great review. It is practically a must-read for those like me who purchase a Slave I only every 15 years. So yes, I own only the first edition and the UCS.

Here come finally the pictures of the my TIE Viper entry built for the NNoVVember 2014 challenge. TIE-Viper Specifications by Veynom, on Flickr The cockpit is of course a MOD of the 9492 TIE Fighter official set but the rest is 100% home made. I tried also to respect the wing style from the 9492. TIE-Viper by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Viper Front View by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Viper Profile View by Veynom, on Flickr With my original 9492 TIE Fighter and my TIE Interceptor (MOD), I now have 3 TIEs. What will I do next?. And on top, my TIE appears on the great NNoVVember 2014 poster. Always nice. Nnovvember 2014 by pasukaru76, on Flickr Comments are welcome.

List of Star Wars sets that are retiring!
Veynom replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
75039 & 75041, do these sell that badly ? -
I always like a tiny but helpful MOD. Good job.

To be honest, I prefer the old green one when it comes to separate small plates on small plates (1x2, 2x2, 2x4...). The orange is greater to remobe tiles but in the long run it gets damaged so having new pnes is good.

How to fix the Republic Gunship(75021) ball turrets
Veynom replied to TheRacker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I have applied the turret MOD and it works like a charm. I want to update the doors now as well but I can't figure out what you both did. Brett, would you have a larger view of your picture ? TheRacker, with your second design, I suppose you have only one long door and no more a folding one like on the first picture ? Anyway, great MODs. I also added some nose art to my son's gunship.- 27 replies

This is indeed much better. If you can, do not hesitate to add more greebles on these sides.

Nice vignette. Maybe I would suggest to tile the roof ?

To be 100% honest, I have been a bit disappointed by this MOC from you, AC Pin. Usually you provide more handsome MOCs. With this one, I have a generalized feeling of flatness and lack of details on the ground. Maybe it is only due to the pictures angle showing the paths of the clone troopers that are just plates. This being said, I like the trees very much. Sorry if my comments may sound somewhat negative but I follow you since a couple of years now and if I compare to your Area 51, Droid Foundry, Jedi Temple, Domino Squad or Theed Hangar just to name a few then this one is a few steps behind. Keep on MOC-ing anyway!

I still need to build my 75055 ... and also my SSD by the way. :)

Nice model. How does it compare to the X-wing in terms of size ? My concern with the current official Z-95 model from Lego is that it is too large for such a small fighter. In SW, the Z-95 is supposed to be 20% shorted than the X-wing.

Very nice progress and glad I could have been of some help. For colors, keep the LBG for external plates and use DBG for the front details. Do not hesitate to add a colored strip or two on the ship using a color like dark blue, dark red, sand green, sand blue... Google for Nebulon B images and find inspiration. :)

Thank you all for your nice comments. The more I see them, the more I would like to combine some elements of the second into the first. And I would probably replace the brown leather seat by a dark red one as well. As for what's next, this is a good question. I should finish a hangar bay I have started a while ago then Novvember is coming so really, I do not know yet what will be next.

Here are my two attempts at the 614-AvA speeder bike from the Star Wars Rebels anime series. First try: 614-AvA speeder bike by Veynom, on Flickr This is the largest version of the two. Quite strong and perfectly swooshable. Minigis fit perfectly on it. 614-AvA speeder bike by Veynom, on Flickr And quickly followed by my second tentative: 614-AvA speeder bike by Veynom, on Flickr Smaller in size, more elegant but much more fragile. Minifigs are not so well in place. 614-AvA speeder bike by Veynom, on Flickr And a small comparison of the two: 614-AvA speeder bike comparison by Veynom, on Flickr So which version do you prefer ? And why ? Some bonus picture, just because I can. ;) 614-AvA speeder bike by Veynom, on Flickr 614-AvA speeder bike by Veynom, on Flickr

If I may offer a tiny bit of advice, for the middle section (the long bar), I would put the top and bottom plates in-between 2 rows of technic bricks. That way, your panels on the side can be fixed on both rows, improving the structural integrity of the model. Check A and B on the following excellent example: Basics by space_e, on Flickr This being said, I would love getting your LDD file at some point. :)

The Sandcrawler (75059) and the Jedi Defender-class Cruiser (75025). I got the Cruiser at an amazing -43% off the list price.

More than worth it. The build itself is amazing. I could not imagine all these little bricks could end up in such a wonderful results. It is truly very instructive to build. As for the end-results and agility or playability, this image is worth everything: Exo-Suit and LL-924 by Veynom, on Flickr

My modest entry to the SHIPtember 2014 challenge: the Common-class Modular Star Hauler Blackbee Length: 126 studs (101cm) Common-class Modular Star Hauler Blackbee by Veynom, on Flickr The Common-class Star Hauler vessels were designed as modular and easy to assemble ships able to transport a lot of different cargo across long distances. Their modular conception allowed for virtually unlimited capacity as modules can be added or removed upon needs. The Blackbee is a nice example carrying 3 container sections and two power rings.
