@DrMuttonchops: very nice interior, full of details with an excellent choice of decorated tiles. My turbolaser is empty inside. This is a deliberate choice for 3 reasons : 1/ The inside is not accessible. Why doing anything then? I had considered an system to open the battery in 2 like old sets did but nothing was practical. 2/ Even if accessible, the inside is very narrow and does not offer much playability. 3/ My bricks are not infinite. I have a good stock of bricks but as I keep this MOC for a few years for expositions, I preferred saving bricks for interior of other MOCs that are more visible and accessible.

Thank you for the nice comment. And yes, I am now considering a base of some kind. @DrMuttonchops: Wow, thank you for that galaxy of nice comments. I don't know where to start to answer you. - The towball in the wall: yes, I like it as well. It helps to secure the crate while swooshing the ship. All minifigs and accessories are therefore secured. Still the looping is not recommended as the rear panels would fall open. - I totally agree with you on the light blue bacta tank. I own the light blue bricks, just not at the same location as my DP20M. I would also add the 2 official medical droids then. But just like you, I have a crunch for Gonky, the medical droid. - The piston bars just stack on the grey tile when open. To close the panel, I simply open a bit more the panel and so the bars can be manually rotated back against the side wall. A simple move that can be performed blindfolded, even by children. - The beds in the middle section are similar in design to the ones you mention but not the same. Here, they have an extra computer in the front and they are fixed as they have not the inverted slope dish underneath. To be complete, I considered building a small place to store these beds with opening panels in the front area of the rear section but ultimately, I dropped the idea as if was adding quite some complexity in an already complex area and the panels would not fit tightly. - Greebling: well, I am not totally satisfied mainly because the rear section is mainly studfull (I ran out of white tiles and curved slopes) while the middle and forward sections are completely studless. However I really enjoyed building these middle and forward sections as they are full of SNOT.

@DrMuttonchops very nice result. I really like the extra details you have provided here and there. I can assure you that in an exposition, this is a very popular build and also one you can display close to the public as it is sturdy. Small question: did you build the interior as well? I did not. Keep on building!

Here we go, almost exactly 3 years after publishing about my Star Wars Medical Corps, I finally completed the capital ship that I envisioned to build. Better late than ever... Please discover below my DP20M Medical Frigate. For additional background and history, I invite you to read my original Star Wars Medical Corps topic. DP20M Medical Frigate by Veynom, on Flickr About the DP20M: The DP20M is an unarmed modified version of the famous DP20 Corellian Gunship. As often with vehicles and spacecrafts assigned to the medical units at the end of the Republic Galactic era and during the Empire, these were either 2nd-grade ships, either refurbished ships. The DP20M is no exception to the rule. The structure of the ship being sturdy and robust, it was common to find DP20 that could still travel around the galaxy but whose weaponry was damaged during combats. Some of these DP20 were then recycled into medical frigate by completely removing the weapon and extra shielding systems. The spared volume allowed for the installation of additional health support and medical equipment. The bact tank can be opened to welcome a minifig. Several accessories are available to play around. - The small hangar can host a speeder and a first-aid medical container. Accessories can also be stored on the wall. The lateral panels open vertically and rotating bars are available to block them in open position. The manipulation is very easy and can be done blindly. The build is sturdy, easy to carry and fully swooshable. Once the technic backbone frame was drafted, the build went fast, starting from the rear until the cockpit. Lot of SNOT in many locations. The "good old piece of junk" aspect is emphasized through the extensive use of old "not so white anymore" bricks from the 70s and 80s. Thank you for the nice comments. This is not a Rogue-class fighter. The tails are much shorter on this one and the cockpit has a different shape. But it is similar, it's true. The Rogue-class is derived from the Porax-38. As this one is more recent, I simply increase the number. And 42 is the best answer anyway. ? The landing gears are fixed and do not retract. But they can easily be removed. I'm even considering creating the LDD.

And here lands my latest MOC ship: the Porax-42 Gunship. It also appears among the concept arts. Note that the on-screen version is a bit different from the concept art, specifically the reactor pods front. I would have like trying a black and (dark) red color scheme but I lack the necessary curved slopes. Here is a small reversible vignette made for a contest on BrickPirate. The concept is simple: DO a vignette and make its mirrored counterpart (a bit like Stranger Things). I have selected Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader in a very classical way. Light side, dark side by Veynom, on Flickr Dark side, light side by Veynom, on Flickr A few highlights: Anakin becomes Darth Vader, that's the obvious central point; Clones become Stormtroopers, still a natural evolution. Trade Federation droids become rebels ... this is a daring evolution. Blue lasers become red, and vice-versa The light side is chasing droids in an evil environment but the dark side is hunting down rebels in a bright and white environment. In the end, which side will you go for ?

Thank you all for the nice comment, and special thanks to @BEAVeR for the always detailed, positive, and constructive feedback. I will be honest about the cones used for the shield generators: I did not do it on purpose. Instead, I used the few remaining cones I had left. The alternative would have been old grey 4x4x2 cones but then it would not fix perfectly with the wing pylons. Similarly, I had only 1 LGB cone left in my stock and I used it for the wing connection. Then I used two 4x2x3 half cone panels in DBG. Maybe I should apply some stickers to improve the texture a bit. However, I purposely used the the 1x2 plates with handle on the central wing base to exactly fill in the gap. My first idea was to use a 1x2 plate with a cheese slope on the side to give a more angular effect, but I have not such a part in LBG. That's what I slapped plates with handles. You are absolutely right about the ugly LBG Technic connectors. Unfortunately, as I work with real bricks and my stock is not infinite, I had only 1 black connector left. Hiding them with panels ? Maybe, but it would create thickness. I will work a bit more on the top hatch and the wing rear plate to improve that and come back to yo with a 1.1 version in the coming days.

TIE-Lambda MKII by Veynom, on Flickr The TIE Lambda was a design from Sienar to cut costs, yet provide a vessel of similar quality to the standard TIE Fighter. It came about after the death of Emperor Palpatine at the Battle of Endor and the Empire was in disorder. Imperial Warlords through out the galaxy joined forces and created the NEO Empire. With this new beginning, it was decided to create new more powerful fighters to reek havoc on the New Republic forces, the Lambda was the first to go into production, intended to replace the TIE Fighter, it has a stronger hull and is faster than it's predecessor. The Cockpit or pilot's compartment is fitted with flight computers, communications, and life support. Either side of the cockpit from first glance still have the wing braces from the original TIE designs, but these in fact are shield generators. With a single wing, it is a maneuverable and tough variant of the TIE, but the design is reported to be a little uncontrollable within an atmosphere. Weaponry for the Lambda consists of two chin laser cannons. The first prototypes were delivered by Sienar and went through a thorough testing and approval programs under authority of Imperial Regulator BEAVeR. About this TIE-Lambda: This TIE is not canon and seems to come from the fandom universe, like the TIE-Torpedo Bomber. I found the missing black straight technic connector for the wings on my TS-4 Tow Speeder MOC. I could replace it with a a different type of connector. I could swap the 2 LBG technic connectors from the bottom wings thanks to the Catwoman bike from my son. I did not hesitate for long. The MKI cockpit was originally based on the cockpit of the official TIE-Fighter 75211 set. I had created the new wing and modified the ball cockpit to fix the new wing. However the MKII version is heavily modified with maybe only 20% of the original design. The resulting model is relatively sturdy with a limitation on the vertical axis where a single technic bar is used to link the cockpit to the wing and only friction keeps the wing attached to the cockpit when you take the TIE in your hand from the cockpit only. Here is a small MIC that will be integrated into a large Star Wars layout of around 100 baseplates (32x32) planned for BrickMania Anvers on 30/11 and 01/12 this year. My section should be around 28 baseplates, inclduing the 2 I present here that were built by my son. Smuggling Geonosians by Veynom, on Flickr Given the Star Wars theme and the fact we decided to go for a desert-like landscape, my son wanted to participate by building something slightly more original than the usual Empire vs. Rebels. He therefore decided to go for some kind of smugglers that would be caught by surprise by some famous bounty hunters (Bossk & Boba Fett). He started with the cave, added details around it then upon starting the second plate and the small rock, he asked me for a battered original ship that could fit well with his mini-story. In short: "Dad, no TIE-Fighter of any kind!" Take away: Idea, landscape , minifig selection & positioning: all by my son (13y old). The supposedly flying pice of junk: all my fault. Very interesting version and I think you did a good job at that scale. I would maybe have added a tiny bit of additional greebling on the front face of the read module but this is it. Good build anyway. Would you agree to share the LDD file ?

Correct, only hips movement is possible but practically, it is useless. Unless I want to use the gun as a AA gun or from the top of a cliff to shoot at the bottom. Yes, the raised tiles are held through 1x1 brackets and the tiles are hiding the empty location due to these 1x1 brackets now being thick as a plate. Thanks for the nice words. Actually, I've used the FLAK 2cm and the FLAK vierling designs already ... I suppose the 88mm will be next, once I unleash myself on the WW2 theme ... Source accuracy is what it can be. In the movie, you mainly see this walker crashed on the ground. On the internet, I mostly found pictures of the toys. I have not a copy of the books where official pictures could be found.

[MOC]First Order TIE-SF Heavy Bomber

And here comes my latest MOC/mashup. This is an AT-DT which is very briefly seen in Solo, a Star Wars story. Its turret immediatly made me think to a mix between a German WW2 sIG 33 and a FLAK 88. AT-DT by Veynom, on Flickr For this model, I have really mashed up existing MOCs found on the Internet, existing sets, and my own freedom. The turret is based on the excellent model from Bricksfeeder on Rebrickable. The front armored panel was modified to remove a stress issue and suppress the gaps between the front and side panels. Side panels were also adapted. The main body is taken from the set 75201: First Order AT-ST but updated (rebuilt) for balance purpose. I kept the rotating mechanism. For the legs, I first started from those from the 75201 but then I completely rebuilt them to better match the canon shape. I found a robust solution with the feet connection from set 75083 (AT-DP) allowing me to connect th enice design of Bircksfeeder's feed to my legs. Balance is maintained as long as you do not shake it too much. Rear view: a minifig can easily sit inside. Thank you. I had built the stairs for my Duck-Wing (see below) and recycled them for this picture. A new prototype is ready by Veynom, on Flickr Regarding the "big gun", this is actually a turbolaser ... much more powerful than the usual lasers. And from what I remember from playing, these flying idiocies were really fast and agile and rotating all around you and pesting you like hell.
