  1. UCS Tumbler, X Wing and Slave 1 all contain a fair amount of technic.
  2. I had no idea the L motors are hated and called useless amongst builders. I personally favor the motors and their mounting points.
  3. Why do you insinuate failing with a start like that? Go for it, looks great so far.
  4. Less Lounge and less how many posts can I make in a 24 hour marathon. I do recall reading a comment stating to many mocs being posted in a forum where discussions are to take place. I got a fever and the only prescription is more MOCS!!
  5. Seriously now, where is the actual WIP?
  6. 6 in the course of 2 months it looks like.
  7. I built the mustang in red exactly as instructed. Using those connectors in place of the #3's may not work. You would be suprised at how sheepo got the angles he did and how extremely rigid the body is. Those connectors would make it very loose, however may work...
  8. What plane do I see at 3 minutes in the video?
  9. That was awesome. Probably the best stop motion build I ever seen. No human interaction in the way.
  10. Congratulations on the build time. I'm always inspired by your accomplishment with lego building technique!!
  11. Does the sticker plate only mount in the front? Seems to look odd in that position.
  12. I cannot find any mention about double vip points offer in USA. The only offer I found was January 1 to 31 for the darth vader minifigure clock.
  13. Funny thing, I called that same location at 10:30 am and an employee said they sold out so I ended up ordering online. Looks like the two freebie sets shipped already and the Slave 1 shows warehouse status. You are lucky to buy in the store that day.
  14. The brickshelf link you provided is a modified version of designer hans 10x4 dump truck.
  15. @Therion: does the chassis flex from weight? While I like your photos I am curious if that is just an illusion or if the physical weight does actually cause the chassis to sag in the middle.
  16. It's a fantastic parts pack.
  17. Abbreviations and acronyms shouldn't be used as labels/categories. I can't see how they would be easier than clicking on an actual descriptive word. Are the icons on your desktop abbreviated? I have never come across a website or blog with all sorts of acronyms. Just the occasional MOD, MOC and all of Jim's contest abbreviations :)
  18. Yes I said same issues but with L-motors whining and stalling. As stated my parts were brand new as well. If you are using an M motor on a V2 receiver in place of a servo motor I am not certain it will work properly without gearing down.
  19. Use a different 8881 battery pack. I had a new one with my 9398 that wasn't putting out the correct current causing the exact same issues. Changed packs and used same batteries, my problem was solved.
  20. Buy a 9396 while they are cheap on ebay. I understand you are looking at other options but the 9396 set is fun to build, great functions, great display piece and inexpensive.
