  1. Great. What resolution is acceptable when posting on EB? I have read some posts where users have complained about images being too large while using mobile data.
  2. Brickshelf seems very easy. I am uncertain how to manage folders and pictures of my Mods and Mocs. How should I title the file names for the photos? For example I have made changes to Lego set 9395 so I created a folder called 9395 with the description 9395 Mods. I may MOD the set one day then decide the next day I want to redo what I just did and update the pictures. I do not want my posts to show broken links. Would I be able to delete the file and re-upload the same file name with the updated photo? I hope I make sense. I may come across as overly organized but I have always been a folder person when it came to organizing my files on my pc.
  3. Not sure but I can tell you that the assortment of parts in the 9395 caused me to purchase two. Both sets I got for around $45 shipped on ebay. Had to watch for the deals though.
  4. Here we go. Like I said, quick hack fix but stops the axle from pulling out.
  5. So I could upload as many images as needed without paying. If I happen to post on EB I could just link or deeplink to the image even if I am over my 200 limit in my photostream?
  6. Correct, then put a 1x3 black lift arm on the end. Add a full size bush in between and a half on the end. It's a quick hack fix but it works pretty good. How can I attach an image?
  7. Hello, I am sure the topic has been discussed but I cannot find to much information about it. I am trying to decide between using Brickshelf, Flickr or something else. Basically just looking for a Pro's and Con's list. Brickshelf Pros: -Free -Dedicated for Lego -Create a folder & add images to it for easy sorting. Brickhshelf Cons: -Waiting for images to be approved. Flickr Pros: -More AFOL will likely find and brows. -No wait time for image approval. Flickr Cons: -200 Images free, yearly fee thereafter. I do not know enough about either or about any other image hosting service. I also noticed the Attach File option on Eurobricks. For some reason I feel Flickr is the way to go aside from the unfortunate fee. Any help would be great. I just want to start sharing my Mod's and Moc's! Kevin
  8. Replace the Pin Connector (48989 3L with 4 Pins) with two Long friction pins (6558). Use two half bush or one full bush in between the frame and the 1 x 3 black lift arm. On the otherside of the 1x3 lift arm use another half bush.
  9. 100gb of ram is server grade. What model laptop???
  10. Quick question... What is the recharge time for the 8878 Lipo Battery Box? The reason I ask, I would like to purchase 2 Battery Boxes and only 1 AC adapter. I rather not spend $50 worth of AC adapters if the charge time is quick. Bad enough 2 battery boxes costs $49 each + tax, from Lego direct.
  11. Called an Adder. Check out Sariel's book explaining transmissions and motors.
  12. Did that. Pretty sweet to see it act realistic off the imaginary line, ha ha. Only problem I ran into was running it in a straight line. Now the AWD drive 42010 car mod I did was much quicker and drove straight. I changed out all four wheels from my 8109 and it made the car ride smooth and quicker. Front wheel hop from lack of traction is pretty cool feature haha. Although if my real life Subaru did that i would be pissed.
  13. I used both motors and the torque was extremely strong. Flipped the car backwards. Took the 42010 and added the second motor to the front wheels. As soon as you let it go the front wheels would hop a little due to the light weight. The results, much much faster take off.... :)
  14. What's up with the photoshopped Roman 2806 blue Monster Truck? Clearly that is Barman76's creation. Then again correct me if I am wrong... http://www.flickriver.com/photos/50191917@N06/sets/72157624412649416/
  15. I just finished building the 42010 a few minutes ago. Solid, good build and fast. I built a makeshift ramp for it to jump, landed upside down, lol. I had a 15% off coupon at Toys R Us and figured why not. All in all, pretty happy with the parts.
  16. Hi Everyone, After 16 years or so of no Lego purchasing or building I decided to revisit it. I am not sure what sparked the interest again but here I am. I've owned Model Team, Space Police/ Blacktron/ Magnatron, City, you name it, but always favored Technic. This past year I went from purchasing 1 Technic set to over 15 as well as organizing with Akro-Mills bins and registering my parts on Rebrickable. I hope to share some of my Technic MOC's and learn from some of the best on this board. (Just purchased Sariel's Technic Book).
  17. The set was purchased from Toys R Us probably a month after it became available there, prior to Lego acknowledging it on their own website. I thought I did read somewhere that Sariel's 9398 had the same battery box issue. The shock absorber was a surprise as well but I did confirm after testing it. I ended up purchasing another set of 4 on ebay for spares. Talk about being disappointed then happy it was something so easy to fix.
  18. Hi Everyone, So I guess my first post on EuroBricks is going to be a complaint about my 9398. I decided to use the L-motors, battery box, servo, IR receiver in a MOC of mine. BTW - I was never happy with the performance of the 9398. I put both motors in another vehicle of mine, half the weight geared down. Both motors insisted on stalling. Apparently, the battery box was not putting out all of the power it should have been. I swapped out the battery box with another one, now the motors are working great. Now I am half tempted to see if my 9398 would run better. The other item was a faulty spring (shock). After performing a compression test, I found one of the springs was weaker than the other three. I did a quick comparison with the springs from my 8110. 7 of the 8 put out the exact resistance. That would explain the 9398 leaning! Did anyone else experience a quality control issue with their 9398?
