That's a good idea! I never thought about that. Was it hard to modify it like that? At first I did not really notice the integrated motors, but when I dicovered them, they looked a bit ugly. Is there any way improving that? The head spins a bit to fast though. Maybe trying to fix it with different sized gears would make it spin slower? And maybe it is wise to make the connection of the head to the body stronger, it almost looks like a bobbing head

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion
TWP replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Yes, of course you can! :) Just submit a post here stating which team you want to join, what class you want to be in (pilot/trooper) and a pic of the avatar you'd like to take (you could also use a generic avatar). A mod will reply to your message after you have been added to the list by him, and then you participate officially in SoNE! Remember, think well about which team you want to join! -
It looks still great! One question though: does that falcon still fit there or are yoy going to finish it without that ship?

No, are you nuts? Do not forget they did not show any compassion by blowing up Alderaan and almost Yavin 4! -
[MOC] Minifig-scale B-Wing (with instructions and LDD)
TWP replied to krispy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think your opening cockpit will be a good thing! Yes, the mold has been changed. I do not have the new jedi interceptor yet, but I am sure it has the new mold. Even 9494 (green) jedi interceptor from a few years ago has the new mold (and I do have that one :) )- 125 replies

That fig in the book is a bummer Why, O why Lego??? (or DK? who actually decides that?)

If you read the first post it says: one year membership at least minimum of 200 posts (and something that it would be great if most of them are in the star wars forum I am pretty sure you both are smart enough to look up if you meet those requirements! A star wars moderator will then add the tag to your account if he has some spare time.

I don't have that yet, but I do own the previous version. It might work just bending the arches, but by holding just the two connecting pieces with one hand each, not holding the end and bend one on the other end. Then connect those arches to the two ends. -
I think something like jungle will look the very good, but that is much work and can be heavy and might distract attention from the beautiful hangar. Therefore, I think plains with some smaller trees can look the best, just a green hillside environment with some medium/small trees, some bushes, water and maybe a little outpost.

That looks good! A lot of effort went into that, if I'm not mistaken. Did not read it all yet though ;) I think this can be quite useful to people! Some tips: Are all planets available to build for us, and are none missing? The map looks just a bit boring, I'm sorry to say that if you made it all yourself. You did not copy-paste from sites I hope, right? If not, great work! There is still some irrelevant information there How about a table with general information under each planet (e.g. Size, population, terrain, moons) Mon Calamari is a species, Mon Cala is the name of the planet. This was quite recently changed by lucasarts Usually the source of information is mentioned at the very end. While this is not a strict rule, it is more enjoyable to read, although that is a matter of what one prefers. More to come I think :)

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Redemption (Alliance Headquarters)
TWP replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I think I might be in in this episode (like I always say but never do :( ), so if I have some spare time I will build. If we are going to do this secretly like the Imps, we have to arrange things through PM or something like that. -

That's a pity for you... then you are left with minifigs and the rest of the set, while you only need the droid. So if you send the rest of the set and figs to me, apart of the droid, we will both be happy as you will not have leftovers anymore! -

Yes, it is definitely new. The normal red color has never appeared before. You could see it on the box - it says "new". There is a very similar one in the planet set of kamino & jedi starfighter, so if you are looking just for a new astromech, that one is a good option. The only difference as far as I can tell is that that one is dark red in stead of normal read. Edit: thinking about it again, I believe the body has appeared twice before, in the second Y-wing and the first ARC-170 fighter, though both with a different dome. Edit 2 (sorry), those are just slightly different. -
They arrived earlier, but I only got around opening the package in the weekend (I did not want to damage that good looking box ) I really love those minifigs, they are great! Thanks again Copmike!

Over at figures.com they've got even more pics! We're actually flooded now! I like most of the new sets, but I will probalbly only get the ones from the films. The minifigs of the other sets look tempting, but they will probalbly cost a fortune over at sites like bricklink. However, I do not like the redesigns of many figs, as some look less good and I will have to start all over again with an army :(

That's certainly a good representation of the speeder bike! I like it! It looks good from all angles! Do you have a link to the original cuusoo project? I like to see what you've changed.
-
Good work! It's instantly recognicable, it looks sturdy, and with good attention to detail If I see it correctly, for the bottom he used just a 1x1 roundplate with a 1x1 tile with clip attached to its bottom. On the top I think he used something similar.
-
Good use of pieces again! I would like it if you make more of these nice little micro scenes! However, I'm not too fond of the edges, it looks a bit like a (no offence) mess. Maybe get rid of the tiles and expose the studs or keeping it a bit rectangular with smooth edges can look better? Just my two cents. Keep up the good work! :)

I like those little speeders! But it looks like some SW-fan bought too many Friends! :D

I like seeing everybody's collections, but cause As I'm most of the time using a mobile device, I am not able to view the collections linking to a set on flickr. I would appreciate it, if you, 3KgFeed, and others will directly deeplink to images. Thanks! :)

Great! You've finally completed the real one! I have to say it looks even better in real life - I mean a picture of the real thing looks even better than a picture of LDD. Did you actually change something of what you did in LDD?
-
Good work! I like your designs, especially of the refined version.
-
I like it! Those coloured fighters give the scene just the color it needs. They are all old designs right? They are great anyways :) The hangar sort of reminds me to the echo base, was that intentionally? One question, though, what is that pillar under the big wing on the B-wing?
-
Good work! The glass with jabba under it makes even better! I actually like all you've made with the piece! It sort of reminds me to the iron builder contest.
