    Yes, I mean, that is the best set to get him from, other than that he was in 2007's CW Republic Gunship. You may actually expect a new, non-CW phase II version soon, that would be a logic move of TLG, assuming he is not in the coruscant police gunship.

    The article seems right on all points, just most of the images are wrong.

    If you look at official images you will find that the ISD isn't actually all that smooth. However, if you look at the model I agree that it seems TLG had overdone it a bit. That's probalbly to make it a bit sturdier. If you're not sure, just MOD it and see if it looks better or not, and if it does not reduce the sturdiness of the model. You might need some extra parts to fill in some gabs.

    The sticker detailing looks good on those high-res images! I can't actually find any change in detailing on that plo koon, even not leg printing. I wonder what is then new about him.

    There is one in the Clone Turbo tank microfighters set, but that doesn't look really good from an army-building perspective

    They look like they are, I saw that too. I think they will not be very usefull except in swamp MOCs. It looks more like copper to me

    I have to say the sets look better in the new pics, but it has not changed my mind about them.

    I agree that he has used your torso, and it is not so nice of him not giving you credit. I don't know what that creative commons license contains, could you explain that to me? I think there is not much you can do, I see you already posted a comment, but it may be wise to contact the person too, to make sure he has read it.

    I own them both, and I prefer the new one. The old one is much too large, however, it has nice red details that are missed in the new one. you have to put them side by side, but then, again, De gustibus non est discutandum. (because this is and English-speaking forum I'll translate: There is not to be discussed about taste.) By the way, I'm going to sell the old one soon

    Good work! They are really recognicable, and the nose of the sail barge looks even better! ;) When looking at the microfigs of the battle of hoth games I had in mind doing something similar too.

    That's child's play. I actually tried doing it myself, and if you just pull them stronger they should be able to de-attach. Use anti-slip stuff if you're desperate. If you are just storing it, it probalbly won't matter a lot if you let those pieces attached, right? ;)

    I don't care all that much, but I think it will be best to extend the deadline. At first, I thought I would not be able to reach the deadline, but I started building yesterday a bit and realised that with current restrictions it was not all that fun to build for me. But I think others might appreciate a extension of the building time.

    I know. @ Artanis I: It is not an illegal connection, you could compare it to a stud on the side of an technic brick, that's legal.

    Good work hachiroku! Earlier you said you wouldn't complete this but I'm glad you did either way! I agree with Montyofmusic that you should put some color in it. Still some proportions are not all the way perfect, but you've got the overall shape good.

    I agree. Luckly the normal not-Battle Packs have the old/realistic guns. By the way, those guns seem to be not spring loaded, just a technique that makes clever use of the friction of a stud, you could compare it to the cannons of the bionicles, I think.

    It is confirmed that there are gunners in the battlepack, that is, at least one.

    Does a link tread individually count as one part, or can a complete assembly (of e.g. 40, interconnected, link treads) count as one part?

    That's what I said. I think TLG is now just experimenting with the new spring loaded, and if they are a succes, will continue to use them. I just hope they won't be used in other themes like the flick fires (*weathertop*) ;)
