Great build Ninja Nin! I love the lava flow! I did not knew you could surf! I like that you included me Nice story by the way, did you make that up all by yourself?
-
Great build MKJoshA, it looks convincing!
-
Nice! good job. I like many of the details you incorporated. try to make your freebuilds a bit more like this, cause though I like those already, I like this build even better!

[SoNE Ep IV] Sector C 'Eeek, it's a Mouse (Droid)'
TWP replied to Lobot's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Good work! especially with the LEDs! it gives a certain character to the build -
Great MOC! You've made it exacly the right size and shape! I would not advice you to add more rooms, you've got exactly the right amount, everything important from movie is there.

You've done a good job recreating the temple! It looks a bit cramped though. I know it's hard to cut rooms, but sometimes that can be better for the whole MOC. I also tried a bigger temple once. Haven't finished it yet though, I might work again at it after seeing your one

Derp. forget to mention the sector. Sector A. Can any MOD please edit that for me? Thanks Lobot! We never came here for the prisoners themselves. The only real reason was the secret weapon. While most of the rebel troops were instructed to rescue prisoners who know something about the secret weapon, most of the really important informers had already been killed. The information they knew was stored in a special container, which was stored in a safe in the base, at least, that was what I assumed. The alliance first learned of it through me. I used to be head of security in this facility, so I know every corner of the base. First I thought I only was permitted to help planning the operation, but later I heard I had to assist a commando team there. Prologue: TWP: Almost there! Stormtrooper: In the name of the Emp... Nendo: Sector secured! Moving in on the safe-deposit! Rann: Hacking the safe... Waiting... Entire team: ... What?! <pause> Nendo: To command: It's gone, I repeat: It's gone! Aièl: What now? TWP? TWP: It should have been here - it should have been. Important containers like this always have been here, look at the marks and the security... Bonder: Any other places it could be? TWP: No. They most probalbly want to escape with it. There's one back entrance, on the entire other end of the base, the imperials often use it as a personal hangar of bigwigs and of the facilities commanders, they could be bringing it there - if they not already did. Nendo: We'll move there then! Team, move out! <while moving> Aièl: Which direction is it located? TWP: In the part still controlled by imperials. Rann: That will take too long! We have to act fast! Any other entrance? Maybe we can fly to it? TWP: Our shuttle will not work. We will have to get past turbo laser batteries. The only possible other option is with repulsorlift platforms located in the east corner of the base, we can then move under the radar. We'll have to look out they will not look themselves though, but they are probalbly too busy. Nendo: That's seems like a much better plan to me! At the east corner of the base Rann: Hostiles taken out! Aièl: Scanning the area. All clear! Nendo: So, TWP, those speeders? they are small! TWP: It should fit. I had expected more though. Rann: Where are those shields fore? TWP: Lava outbursts on the surface. They'll also protect for blaster fire, take them with you if you feel inclined, I will at least take one. Bonder: We'll take those then. I'll make the speeders ready. Nendo: To command: moving out to sector: hostile back entrance. Meanwhile, at the by-the-Empire-controlled back entrance. Field Commander: Be careful troops! We need not to damage the container with the intel! <shouting> Is our shuttle ready? Pilot: Everything ready sir! Ready for takeoff! Field Commander: Everything quiet over there? Officer: Nothing on the radar sir! Field Commander: Move along, do not dawdle. CT33458D: Sir, I see something in the distance with my binoculars. They are no friendly forces! They're moving in fast! Sweeesh. 1 trooper died. Sweesh. 1 trooper died. Rann: Nice shot! Field Commander: Send reinforcements, quick! Officer: Reinforcements on route, they'll be here any moment now! Main story: Nendo: Commando's, attack! Phew! Phew! Phew! Nendo: Imperials, Surrender! Field Commander: We'll think about that. TWP? You traitor! TWP: Just fighting for the good cause now! Aièl: Imperial reinforement forces! Take cover! Stormtrooper commander: Surrender! In the name of the Empire! You're outnumbered! Nendo: Rebels! Hold you're positions! Attack & Defend! Whole time: Yes sir! Bonder: This is where the fun begins! Out of character part: The MOC itself: The whole MOC is a cutout of a platform, as you can see when you look at the exposed electronics on the side. on the right there is an imaginary Imperial Shuttle On the left is the main back entrance of the facility. There's a guard tower above. The doors in the entrance are able to be closed and opened. The dark grey platform with the turret can move up and down, with reinforcements. The turret can be operated by a minifig. It has stud blasters on it's side, so they can really shoot! The whole MOC is a cutout of a platform, as you can see when you look at the exposed electronics on the side. For the lava technique I used my own blocky interpretation of this awesome MOC. My the team. From left to right: Bonder, Nendo (leader), TWP (me!), Aièl, Rann. More pictures on my Flickr. I'm sorry for the bad picture quality, in real my MOC looks even better! C&C welcome! BONUS: The mysterie of Harry: The prison is a really good secured one. No-one ever escaped. Except one little fellow. His name was Harry. One day, he wanted a pickaxe to mine for ores in the rocks of Sullust. I agreed. But then, one day, he just disappeared. Rumor held he dug a tunnel to escape. But nobody ever knew what really happened to him, neither if he really did escape.

Hmmm... That scoring system is a good idea! It looks a bit like what they use on schools for grades. Though I might suggest points/total points x 9 + 1 may be a better idea, as when you then have many points your score will go up with at least one. E.g. 15 points --> 15/50x9+1 = 3,7 points, and 15 point will fetch 2,35 points when you have 100 in total in stead of 1,5. Maybe it is better to increace the n-therm, e.g. x 8 + 2, or depending it on your score. So e.g. Points/total points x (10-points/10) + points/10. 15 points, 50 total: 15/50 x 8,5 + 1,5 = 4,05 15 points, 100 total: 15/100 x 8,5 + 1,5 = 2,775 1 point, 10 total: 1/10 x 9,9 + 0,1 = 1,09 with a minimum of 1 point each build And with total points > 10 or = 10

[SoNE Ep. 4] Sector C - Taking the communications station
TWP replied to Wedge09's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Good to have you on board! It's a shame you had no time to work more, it would turn out even better then! a tip: swich the bricks in the cutout to slopes (or one big slope) may improve this MOC a good bit, while not taking much time. (of course you will then also need a tile over the rest of the studs) Not unlikely, you know, Stormies can't aim, can they? -

+1 for MattZitron! he pays instantly, within 5 seconds after you send the payment request! +1 for Robert_88 Remember he lives in AUSTRIA, and not AUSTRALIA (almost did that wrong) -
I like this speeder! It's not as detailed as other MOCs, bu that is not necesarily a bad thing. Your speeder is very compact, and much better then TLG's effort to make this speeder compact! Good work. The 3L bar is probalbly from the B-wing planet set. If you want smaller bars, you could try flex tube cutting, what is generally accepted by FOLs

Great work again after a long time! We've missed you!

I thought something like that, but I think it is very misleading. It looks like there are much more figs in the sets now. And would you then be able to claim another fig, as it says you get one extra, when you have bought a set?
-
looks true though. Does anyone know the reason behind putting Two Solos and lukes? and is the second snowtrooper in the snowspeeder also excluded?
-
That does not matter. everywhere there is normal sunlight UV light will also find it's way. UV reflective film is the best option probalbly. I'm not sure, but it might even absorb the UV and change it in normal light, which makes the room less full of shadows
-
I'll post some of the pics here. images of the box art can be found here . personally I think these pics make the set even better!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
TWP replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They both look like crap. Personally, I think the 2007 one looks better. Though I think one could better MOC a turret. -
The MOC looks even more awesome then in the diorama! I'm still disapointed you did not make an interior
-
That's a great build! all those little details! the piping! The LEDs! You made a good use of the gunner outfits as space/underwater suits too!

I've got an other theory. If anyone can prove me wrong, I'll like to hear it. The rule of two is generally kept. Palpatine has all the time one apprentice, either Maul, Dooku or Darth Vader. He's smart, and well instructed by Plagius, not having more then one, because two will corrupt and kill him, while searching for power. So Palpatine enlists Dooku after Maul was killed. He thinks Dooku was better. After that, he finds someone better then Dooku, Anakin, so he sets a trap for Dooku, so the latter gets killed and he gets what he wants. After that, he desires Luke as padawan, and sets a trap for Vader, which fails. The rule of two applies at all time for Palpatine. So, Sith are smart, even Sith apprentices. They know there master will abandon them when they find someone better. You might know Plagius and Sidious made someone existing out of the living force - Anakin. It would be tge perfect apprentice, also for Plagius, who was immortal of age. So after Sidious has learned enough, he kills Plagius in fear of getting replaced some day by Anakin. He can take apprentices himself now. So Sidious is very powerful. At that point he takes an apprentice, Maul, that cannot overtrow them because he is not yet powerful enough. No one could be powerful enough to kill Sidious, not even the strongest of Jedi. Dooku sees this too. And he's old. He is a Sith, so he desires power, and to overtrow his master, which he cannot do alone. He takes secret apprentices. (I'm not counting the Acolytes because that's EU). First Ventress. When Sidious found out, he orders Tyranus to kill her, which he must do to ensure loyalty and not to be killed by his own master. So then Dooku takes Oppres as apprentice. This fails, because Ventress is trying to overtrow her old master with Savage. You see Dooku tries to maintain rule of two, after overtrowing his master. Same goes for Ventress. So Dooku is too late, and gets killed because of his master beforehand. Vader tries to do the same. He is kind of weak, so he seeks an apprentice, Marek. When Sidious finds out, he has to prove loyalty to, and smashes him out of a window (TFU). When Vader finds out of his force son, he tries to get rit of Malek to make luke his apprentice to overtrow Palpatine. So Sith are corrupt, and try to apply the rule of two with themselves as the master.

Why does everyone say it's fake. Let's ask this question: Qui bono? (Latin, from Cicero: Who benefits?). I think nobody. Seriously - why would anybody invest this many time - it looks very well done - in making a fake pic? He can benefit of it in no way possible. If somebody would fake a pic of a new UCS Falcon, he could benefit from it, namely buying price-reduced ones, and selling them later. from this, it looks nobody can make a profit of any kind. If anyone could refute this, I'm glad to hear.

This looks like a good representation of the original ship! Good job. I think the dark bley looks okay were it is, you do not have to replace it in my opinion.
