  1. It sounds like the dress in CMF Series 15 has the same dimensions as the piece from 2009. I hope that both it and any such ball gowns in this Disney series but a new mold for a better clutch power in the torso. My biggest complaint with the current slope piece for a dress is that the minifigures come into which I lift one from some studs. It would also be nice if all the ladies were the same height as minifigs with legs.
  2. The new evil knight hopefully will reuse Egyptian shield piece.
  3. The hat can be mistaken for the plant guy. If you think you have the plant guy, spend a bit more time to find the bend in the top of the hat. You might also try for the cat.
  4. The queen looks excellent and I am anxiously awaiting for the scary / evil knight. The Kendo and possible winged warrior are also exciting.
  5. Thanks, SCI. I didn't like the look of those for the characters I thought they were. I am glad they are City.
  6. Either that or a steering wheel warrior (race car driver). I really hope should be translated to winged warrior for a Valkyrie.
  7. So it looks like a female animal control officer that catches stray cats and dogs. I hope she comes with a new dog print. I think the other character is a male jewel thief, but he looks so plain.
  8. There is indeed a new dress piece used for the Queen in Series 15.
  9. For the few that are not already watching the Series 15 CMF thread, there is supposed to be two Castle minifigs: Queen and Scary / Evil Knight. There are also some fantasy ones that might work for us as well: satyr (already reported) and flying warrior. I hope the flying warrior is a valkyrie.
  10. Animal Control could be a pest exterminator with a spray bottle with the welding piece attached and reusing the Antman ant.
  11. Traditionally, we have had to have the smaller sets in order to get new molds and prints for a theme. The Simpson's gave us the first glimpse that the cost of producing new molds may have come down enough for a Direct to Consumer (D2C) set to have one. I would be very pleased if LEGO had a yearly D2C historic build. They wouldn't need to be modular like the old downtown modulars that come once a year. I could envision a watchtower, an inn with stables, and a large windmill each in the $150 range. Thematically they would work together without the technic pins literally holding them side by side. LEGO already has a few types of D2C sets that show up once a year: Modular Downtown, Winter Village, Vehicles, and Fairgrounds. Hopefully they will find room in their calendar for a yearly Castle / historic D2C. I would "settle" for a yearly Lord of the Rings set though. If the Temple of Airjitsu sells well enough, perhaps that will show LEGO that there is a demand for historic flavored D2C sets.
  12. I just saw that the Tower of Orthanc was available on Shop@LEGO.com US yesterday but it is showing Sold Out again today. If you have not gotten one yet, keep an eye open. I also see that Target US shows it available online for the MRSP.
  13. I would love a shepherdess as I imagine the print would work as another medieval civilian or fit in any pre-Industrial time period.
  14. I think LEGO knows of the demand. There is the Medieval Market Street as well as two Tolkien sets currently under review. These all seem too large to get approved, but they show that at least 10,000 AFOLs would be willing to buy something. Besides one possible Ideas set, I think the future of historic and / or Medieval minifigs will be the CMF. They have been able to make great historic characters that don't appeal that much to kids by sprinkling them with other characters. I doubt many kids wanted an Egyptian warrior in Series 13, but I made a massive army of them to face off with the Romans from earlier series. So by all means, we should promote Ideas sets that focus on the style we want. Here are two I am currently supporting: Medieval Peddler Medieval Bakery
  15. Do you guys think that the moose in the recently revealed Frozen set will work well with historic themes are is it too Friends? http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-2016-official-set-images-partial/
  16. Out of LEGO's history, there were only three years where there was a regular Ninja theme. But I take your meaning that there likely will not be any sort of historic theme during Nexo Knight's run. I think many in this thread did not expect a traditional Castle theme. A Vikings or Roman theme may be different enough though. Ninjago has given us great period style buildings in both the Battle for Ninjago City as well as the Temple of Airjistsu. Mayhaps Nexo Knigjt's might do the same. I will keep an eye to see if there are any pieces in Nexo Knighs that I can use for my more traditional MOCs. If you can find a way to add a traditional Vikings helmet (no horns) into NK I would be very happy. I wish that line all the best but my interest will continue to shift to the CMFs and Modulars such as the recently revealed bank.
  17. You should also include the Goblin's head piece which has been used twice for the Green Goblin now. Besides, I think Dannylonglegs has it correct. If they make a ball gown dress brick for CMF, Nexo Knight's might find a use for it. But it would not be that Nexo Knights requested CMF made the piece. The screenshot from the show hints that it is just a small scene which probably will never be made as a minifigure. Instead the people making the show may know that such a piece is coming. Otherwise, the show likely would have just used the normal dress piece.
  18. I think Templar is still possible. They were an holy order of warriors. LEGO bends these rules when it suits them. They even had a chapel with some book under a stained glass window in the Kingdom's Joust set. They would just have to find another name for it. That would be the hard part as Crusading Knight might be even harder to fit into a set.
  19. I got the Gimli pack today. I hope LEGO gets the right message for this. Otherwise, they just might only re-release Frodo and Aragon in future waves. We want new characters and hopefully a new D2C set like Ghostbusters is getting.
  20. How many has bought LEGO Dimensions Lord of the Rings characters? I haven't yet, but I might pick up a Gimli based on the comparison photos above and to show support for this line. LEGO generally looks at the first couple weeks sales to determine if a set is popular. I checked three stores. Target the day after release had Sold Out of the three LotR fun packs. The Hastings yesterday did not look like it sold any Dimensions of any kind. Walmart today had sold out of Legolas but the Gollum and Gimli looked fairly well stocked. Hopefully that is a good sign.
  21. My guess is that NYCC is too soon for all the set reveals. LEGO designers are under an embargo until Nov 15 or Dec 1. I don't think we will get official set images until then. However we might see one set officially revealed there.
  22. 1) Maleficent 2) Princess Aurora 3) Prince Philip (Sleeping Beauty) 4) Captain Hook 5) Peter Pan 6) Mulan 7) Merida 8) Aladdin 9) Jasmine 10) Jafar and Iago 11) Pocahontas 12) Tiana (Princess and the Frog) 13) Alice 14) Cruella de ville 15) Snow White 16) Grumpy
  23. It was an interesting City specific list. I think a strong updated train conductor sounds great. But if Series 15 is not themed, you would have other styles mixed in such a Castle, Space, and Pirate. An updated fire fighter would be most welcome. There have been three police officers in CMF already; but if you had a different take, it could work. I welcome welcome a bicycle cop with dual molded arms for short sleeves and a new bike helmet.
  24. I just got the Wicked Witch because I liked the print. There are indeed pieces that go into the Battle Monkey and Commander Monkey that are not used for the Winged Monkey. I didn't bother with downloading the instructions but the large image of the Winged Monkey was enough to build it. Glancing at the alternate builds I would also say that LEGO likely continued their tradition of providing a few extra pieces.
