LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
Blakstone replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I agree unless they make a new short leg mold where the legs can bend. It would be totally worth short legs if we got that. -
I would like to see those new pyramid pieces in white for capstones on brick fences as well as dark tan / light gray for detailing on castle walls.

Hammerhand, the eye holes in up perfectly. I think it makes a nice varient in a Viking army, but it still seems a bit off for me to want to use it exclusively for the Viking helm. In regards to Nexo Knights. They obviously are not a Castle theme. Instead it is a hybrid or compound of High Tech and Castle. Both the High Tech and Castle are existential elements. Nexo Knights would not exist without it. Just like water needs both the hydrogen and oxygen molecules. We can breath both hydrogen and oxygen but if they are combined into water, we cannot breathe theme. I wish Nexo Knights a long as successful run. But I find the sets lacking elements to entice me to purchase them. I considered getting the Ultimate Macy for the ponytail piece, but it does not appear to fit the Roman helm. I might still get her for the new pyramid elements in gun metal. I also plan on getting Ultimate Lavaria for the crossbow as well as a completely usable (for me) figure. The rest of the Nexo Knights sets might be worthwhile if I find them on clearance. I think the hope for Castle fans will be a licensed wave, but I don't know yet what it could be.

Castle set(s) as a nostalgia gift for an adult
Blakstone replied to Merry's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I have no issues building LEGO sets in general without kids around. I came out of my Dark Ages after becoming an empty nestor (step-daughter grew up and moved out). I haven't bought any sets that were out when I was a kid but one. It was the Crusader Cart as it was my first Castle set. You are amongst your tribe here and can enjoy these sets without shame. There are thousands of Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) just like you. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

It is different around here. There were three boxes of Monsters minifigures at Target AFTER Christmas. Sadly, they were still full price. Toys of Us also had a couple boxes days before Christmas. Oddly enough I saw Simpsons Series 2 at one of the local Walgreens yesterday. -

My ideal Imp minifigure would come with pale blonde hair, one green eye and one black eye. He would come with a book titled "The Histories" and a new duel molded wine glass with red wine. However, I doubt that is the version of the Imp we will get. As long as it is a detailed useful minifig for Fantasy, I will be in favor of it. -

A female astronaut might work best if she was in the blue jumpsuit instead of the pressure suit. We don't have any astronauts like that and they could do the hips that way. It would be cool if her hair was molded to look like it was floating in weightlessness. -
No Licenced historic theme this year?
Blakstone replied to kinggregus's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I could see some more historic (but not Castle) sets coming from Dr Who if it expands past Ideas / Dimensions. I thought I saw a BBC article saying that it would be a full theme, but I searched for that today without success. -
I voted Reptile Man because of an episode of Rugrats I saw with my step-daughter. Reptar! I want a bear (polar) costume next. I could make a global warming protest scene with it. It would also be nice for holiday scenes. I do think a bear costume is likely because they can easily recolor it between the two.

Good Three Billy Goat Gruff reference. Beyond that, I don't think that LEGO is trolling if they don't provide for everyone's specific desires. There is a limit they can do at a time and I think the return of the pig is wonderful. If that proves popular, perhaps they will consider using the goat for a future CMF series. Personally, I would rather have sheep. I bought the Mill Village Raid so I have goats if I ever decide to use them. I don't have any sheep and I can see them being more useful in large numbers than goats.

Collectable Minifigures Advent Calendar 2015 - LDD MOC
Blakstone replied to Yooha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I want that version of Mr Good and Evil! Great job on all of these Yooha (and congrats on the XMas raffle win)! But this gives me a great idea. I will include the original version in the pub window of my Victorian London model. It is after a library display and based on Sherlock Holms. But it can have a Jekyll and Hyde cameo. The time period is close enough. -

The Moore library does not have any available times to book a room. Our next meeting will be in the Yukon library again on Jan 16 from 1 to 3 PM. I hope to get our website updated shortly. -

Excellent builds that capture both the spirit of the scene and the set (where applicable). My favorite is the White Council for both the dome and the wonderful parts usage for the seat backs.

REVIEW: 71011 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15

There is a photo in the review with the Queen in between the Princess and the King. The Queen is the same height as the King, not the Princess. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 poll
Blakstone replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My favorite is the Queen with that new dress mold with the Satry as a close second. But I will probably get more Grim Knights than any other from this series. Even the winged warrior is probably good for quite a few purchases though I will remove the armor and wings. That looks like a Classic minifig otherwise. -
REVIEW: 71011 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15
Blakstone replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Excellent review once again, WhiteFang. I am eagerly awaiting this series. Like the best CMF, it services a lot of themes City, Castle, Space, Historic (non Castle). I think LEGO is starting a strong Asian theme since the last several regular series have contributed to that. The only ones I plan on skipping is the Shark suit guy and the robot. WhiteFang, can you take a photo of the wrestler head on the Highland Battler? I want to see if that blue face paint can pass as woad. -

I thought this mold was used for several including a dalmatian, but Brickset treats them as different molds.

I don't think the list is real... but it would not bother me if it was. There are several I would want for parts... Peter Pan, Mulan, Aladdin, Captain Hook, and Jafar. Depending on how they look I might even do Jane, Tarzxan, and Genie. I would save a bit of money this way.- 4,155 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Blakstone replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The French crown spent a considerable chunk of their wealth providing the American colonists with a navy during the American Revolution. Without which we would have lost to Britain. I believe there are many factors that lead to French Revolution, but the history books are written by the winners. I think the new dress mold can be used for 18th and 19th dresses. I would like CMFs inspired by Marie Antoinette as well as other time periods. But my MOCs tend to be historical in tone. -
