  1. Ah, so THAT'S the torso that matches with those legs! I BL'd some of those legs a while back and have been wondering what they're supposed to mesh with. You wouldn't happen to have a link for that torso would you?

  3. Thanks de Gothia! I feel that small builds are the best at conveying atmosphere, emotion, etc. though that wasn't really the intent here.
  4. I really like your custom sign posts, how do do them?
  5. Eh, not sure I would go with olive. I do wish LEGO had dark green in the small leaves. I'd jump all over that. Snow does that all the time! Though I do agree that the overhang may be a bit much here. Thanks guys! I've really been trying to up my photography game recently. Thanks Kabel! Thanks Kai, and all the other Kaliphlinites for the votes! There's a lot of snow on the branches because there's a lot of snow in Mitgardia!
  6. That's the red "rag" tacked to the rock
  7. I'm looking for the below credits in my Archery MOC Landscape Design - Snow and Ice Geography - Forests
  8. My Phase I for the archery category of Age of Mitgardia: Three Mitgardian army archers stop for a break and some quick practice. My University claims: Landscape Design - Snow and Ice Geography - Forests Flickr C&C always appreciated!
  9. Solid build friend! Like I said over on C-C, the rock-work is fantastic. Using the cheese slopes really gives the waterfall a sense of motion too. I wasn't sure I liked it, but it's growing on me.
  10. The stream looks good from a structural perspective--especially for your first attempt, but if you've got them, or can acquire them, some wedge plates to round the blocky edges would help make it look more natural in my opinion.
  11. Bwhahahaha! I needed that laugh after work today, thanks Doc!
  12. And a 'green' green one!Welcome to Mitgardia!
  13. Dang. I have that same footprint technique in my mostly finished archery phase 1 I was hoping to be the first to use that in AoM -- oh well As for your question about the snow drift, you get get a bit of a curve from selective use of curved wedge bricks like in the drift under the overhang of my "Winter Hunter" MOC: You could also play with some SNOT curved slopes like here (from Jack Riveorput) if you don't mind the 1-stud step:
  14. Your link is broken Bkrosell.
  15. I really like the brick bricks used as tile. I honestly think they look better on the ground in numbers than on a wall!
  16. That big boat is quite nice indeed. The "beard falling off" part cracked me up!
  17. Nice photo - though, was it meant to be so grainy? The angle of the fence is great, really makes the shot.
  18. Haha! Awesome! Celebrating the US hockey wins are we?
  19. Man. your builds are BIG! I like the levers on the ground, a very nice touch.
  20. I feel really late to a great party - this MOC is fantastic! I like how you tend to include small scenes of minifig interaction throughout your builds, and in this MOC, how they pull together to give the castle a "lived-in" feeling. The tops of the posts forming the warg great wolf pen are bugging though. Maybe top them of with snow instead?
  21. This is definitely one of the better debut GoH builds. I'm looking forward to what else you can do!
  22. There're a lot of cool details here for sure, but for me, this MOC just isn't pulling itself together into something cohesive. I don't think the modern window out front is helping.
  23. I'll gladly echo all the previous comments about that palm tree, it is gorgeous.
  24. This is excellent work. Having both sides of the wall depicting separate story lines was a fantastic idea, and, you get some kudos from me for what I assume are curtains in the window of the house.
