  1. There's a nice sense of action in this build with the oncoming horde and the lean of the tree. I wish the rest of the base looked as organic as the rocks under the tree, though it looks like time caught up with you judging by your post in the Avalonian thread.
  2. Those huts are fantastic!
  3. The color choices here are awesome and I really like the contrast of the tan (is that tan?) tree trunk running across the sideways rocks. Great MOC!
  4. Thanks all! I wish I could have worked in some more lime green swamp here. Wolfpack is going down!
  5. I agree with Gideon, the mess adds a lot to this little scene. Sweet vig.
  6. Love the touches of gold and the winged snakes.
  7. Unbelievable. What didn't you do in this challenge? You've got giant brick-built beasts, forced perspective, an epic tower, some fantastic landscaping, a great micro-ish castle, and a story that I actually read! Can you pass around that bottle of awesomesause you've been using on food? The rest of us want a taste. Oh, and I'm with LD on that 'winner' thing.
  8. This is awesome! Lots of different architectural styles and yet it still pulls itself together. I bet you could throw out some awesome Halloween MOCs too
  9. Very sturdy looking. The 2-sided slopes are a very nice touch at the first level.
  10. Yeah, what's up with that? Did I miss something? My category A: Moruth Pass Encounter My category B: Moruth Watchtower
  11. OP updated, though now I see the deadline has been extended Thanks guys! That is the extent of my lime green AND my olive green leaves. Agreed. I need some more x3 & x4 slopes. Lots of slopes to get height quickly, but not enough to do shallow alititude variations. 11:59 on a work night! hehe - nah, different hair, and less Mitgardian Only the Noctys want it
  12. My category B entry: More pics, description, UoP claims, etc. tomorrow. I'm going to sleep... One of the many new watch towers the Black Spire forces have built to protect their newly controlled territory. This one, guarded by some ex-Varlyrion soldiers, sits on the edge of the Moruth Swamplands and protects a passage into the Rakath Mountains. This is my first foray into the world of round towers and I was also channeling a bit of SoccarKid's style with the odd bricks thrown in. I'm not completely sure the color blocking in the tower works, but at least it's Nocturnus-y. UoP claims: Architecture - round walls and towers Military Science - fortifications Trade and Law - arresting criminals flickr set C&C welcome!
  13. Book II, Challenge 1, Category A The encounter didn't end well for the Wolfpack! Other pic MOCs this small, are fun. I think I'll try to fling out some more this size for some AoM builds in the next month or two.
  14. Lots to like here de Gothia. Architecture is spot on, minifig posing is spot on, details are great--my favorite tidbit is the barrel with wine flowing out of it as signage,
  15. And both are well done
  16. Nice job Emma! The Drakarkan were my favorite as well, by far.
  17. Reminds me a lot of Orthanc, and that's a good thing!
  18. This is absolutely fantastic LD! I'm surprised you still have the use of your fingers after CCC Thanks for the comparison!
  19. Nice work! I like the two layers in the wall, and that it's really tall.
  20. Another great presentation for Avalonia! This is a great task your guild is running. With respect to your MOCs, my favorite is the fishing camp. The smoker is a fantastic detail.
  21. Three things I really like in this build: the tower roofs the dice tiles as, well, tile the cracks in the walls Sweet stuff!
  22. I like it. It has the feeling that it's at the edge of the desert. Why is it hovering though? Nocty get some floating rocks?
  23. Beautiful ruins - I think you've struck the perfect balance between the hyper-detailed and the clean-lined. Not too busy, not too simple, just right.
  24. Might want to check posts #47-#49. In many instances one must read the entire thread, not just the first page
  25. I like how this turned out! The lime green is sweet and the leaf pieces on the tower roof work well.
