  1. I think if you are going to do a manual gearbox, then don't motorise the car...
  2. I doubt Jon's suggestion would be able to handle much torque... Realism
  3. Simple manual gearbox would be a lot easier to implement, and would result in an overall better model at the end if you aren't a particularly experienced MOC'er
  4. That's just buy, sell and trade forum... Surely you should be able to start a new topic without 100 posts? people are doing it every day...
  5. Battery boxes can run 2XL, 4M or 1XL and 2M at the same time before the overload protection kicks in. It may be a problem with your receiver also...
  6. Mr Alasdair, what are you on about? Sheepo has kind of done it yes, but it's very complex and not very reliable...
  7. Impossible... a gearbox controlled by one motor would not be able to handle that much torque, especially one with tat many gears. trust me I've tried... Supercar WIP - Gearbox by legomuppet9, on Flickr
  8. http://www.bricktrucktrial.com/spip.php?article132 may be of some use... There are different versions of the rules on the links on the right
  9. I would get this set... if it was £25...
  10. Drive shaft would be better.... But if you must make a chain, make it inside out as it can handle a bit more torque, but even so, still not much...
  11. Nice work very compact for the number of functions implemented
  12. Nice video, shows the performance well
  13. I have no clue (I like them all (of the one's I have)) Although, if I had to pick one, it would be the 8292 Cherry Picker. My first reasonably big Technic set
  14. Doubt it, those unimog wheels would be quite difficult to get spinning
  15. A fire engine of any kind would be a big seller to kids Also, it would be a good opportunity to introduce some new parts...
  16. I personally won't be getting this set, as if prefer to spend my money on the crane which has more parts for MOC'ing. Also, if I did buy this set I wouldn't have the heart to rip it down into an MOC, so even though it is a very nice model, it isn't suitable for me I do however, feel there should be a cap of 2 sets per household (except for rm8, he should be allowed some more ), to avoid companies mass buying then selling for ridiculous profit in a few years. This kind of set REALLY shouldn't be just kept MISB. It should be built, and displayed with pride. Re-sellers just would not do that...
  17. Shop @ Home, on the 1st August, about midnight. You'd have to be very quick as there's only 20,000 sets to split between the whole world...
  18. I think the rear wing just needs to be pulled back a bit, then it'd be fine
  19. Were you? well in my opinion you were getting a bit rude but hey and you're probably right about it crashing
