  1. Not really interested in something generic. I'm a fanboy of franchises generally. I also don't see this selling as well as the last two cuusoo sets :P.
  2. Your comment is so freakin' wrong and is another baseless attack literally based on stupid assumptions. As I mentioned in my review "more of the same"... I've played a lot of Lego games. I've played most of them. It's "more of the same" all right. That's how I came to that conclusion. Marvel does not have music as iconic. Nobody goes "oh wow it's that Iron Man song" unless it's the coincidentally named "Iron Man" by black sabbath. Nothing really compares to Superman's or Spiderman's themes where people of every generation will often know them. Iron Man's music isn't nearly as far reaching (again, unless you count a song which isn't really a Marvel song ;p). Of course when it comes to the iconic status of music it's almost about taste but I'm 100% sure if you sampled the music from Marvel and DC movies to the random populace the DC movies would win in recognizeability. I don't hate Marvel. In fact I've been a marvel fan most of my life starting in Grade School (I'm almost 30). So you're completely wrong. :)
  3. The voice actor for Ms Krabaple (spelling?) has died. Kind of hope there's a minifigure of her but I doubt it. Anyways, I might get these minifigures for nostalgia's sake. I haven't actually watched the show in like 11 years (besides a single episode which was pretty good) but I was into it a lot in my childhood.
  4. Scum? Am I missing something? It's just a review of a minifigure. XP
  5. Bought the PC version for $20. So far? Meh. A lot of the gameplay elements seem forced or odd. Like the tip when you need to web something and pull? It says something like "only web-slingers can do this" which at first confused me a bit because, as it turns out, it's a complete lie. Mr. Fantastic and anyone with a grapple or stretchy or whatever powers can too. Then the puzzels just seem 10x more artificial. Like it was so natural in Lego Batman 2. Or at least more so for a Lego game where you could use logic more often (like oh fire is blocking Batman, Superman will go turn a valve to turn it off). Whereas in this game it seems even more filled with odd invisible walls, and I'm left wondering why the Hulk can't jump over a bus, why I even need to use the other characters (I will be forced to as part of the puzzel, not talking only from a hulk perspective), blablabla. I'm tired as heck so I'm not sure I'm being legible. Also the city isn't as exciting. First off the flying controls are downright horrible (as most reviews state). I find myself often messing up in one of those flying through the rings things just because the controls freakin' suck. Reminds me of Superman 64. I'm not saying the game is bad though lol. The music is very generic I guess because Marvel simply doesn't have any iconic music besides some Spiderman. You traveled around Gotham in style with the Batman and Superman themes. In this it just has boring, nothing music. Now again, I'm tired so I'm probably going to leave it at that. It's not a bad game. It's just more of the same and IMO more of a mess in some regards than Lego Batman 2.
  6. Eh I'm less excited about this show now. When it first came out I really loved it. However after too many monster of the week things and a poor "made for children" end of the season I kind of... stopped loving it :P. The episodes where the story advances are the better ones. I usually dislike "filler". I don't like episodes that seem to be made simply to introduce a new Mutant/Toy as they don't add anything to the experience. They're nothing compared to like that episode where the four turtles faced off against Shredder. Then the season finale... geeze... it could have been so good. But I feel like they "kiddied" it. Probably the main thing that stuck out for me was Leo's "sacrifice". He stayed behind so his brothers could escape. Then the Technodrome crashed and... nope! Leo is right there somehow... He simply jumped on one of the flying things. I'm not saying he should have died but that was just stupid. Maybe he could have been trapped in the technodrome, captured, transported to dimension X. Would have made a good cliffhanger... something that wasn't "lol tricked you I'm actually fine and there was no need to worry"... Then April was never truly explained. And nobody is even asking the questions how she's "specially tuned" or whatever. Splinter's motivations behind basically everything is still kind of stupid. I really don't know why that lazy bum doesn't help out more often. He's obviously capable. Leaving EVERYTHING to his sons is irresponsible as heck. (this is more not focused on the season finale :P). On another note not about the season finale specifically... every NEW enemy is a challenge and often beats the crap out of the turtles. Remember when the Kraang for appeared? The turtles could barely damage them! Dogpound and Fishface? Besides Dogpound inexplicably physically shrinking he went from strongman to useless minion, same with Fishface. After the first encounter the enemies become fodder. Are the turtles just getting that much better? Doesn't explain it as like with the Kraang they showed tremendous physical strength. What? Are the turtles suddenly 10x more muscular? I also don't feel like the relationships are being explored enough. The turtles are just a group of brothers that get along pretty well and don't have many issues. Raph is even pretty touchy-feely. Oh and Mikey is still incredibly annoying. And I haven't been laughing as much as I swear there's more stupid idiotic Mickey humor than ever in the latest episodes. I really hate that guy.
  7. Point and click is fine. It seems like they nerfed the features in Lego Universe which was already a game with barely any content. Also it seems like they somehow made it even MORE kiddie which I wouldn't have thought would be possible. I'm sure the moderation levels are near Nazi-mod levels too like in Universe so you can't have a decent conversation "to protect children". I don't know, I don't see anything that'll make this not end up like Lego Universe and die. It doesn't look hugely impressive. I'm not sure AFOL will often go for it when there's many non-Lego games of a similar style that are 10x superior, 10x less kiddie and 10x less easy (well, tough to say this for sure but it IS a Lego game :P). Diablo and that new Marvel game and tons of other options... Maybe if it has a good business built around it. F2P. Annoying microtransactions...
  8. The Christmas Specials usually are the bad episodes. I hope this is different.
  9. Just ignore the prequels. ;p Honestly, I tried so hard to love them or even like them for years and years. I made excuses for them. But they're just not good and don't even make sense with the original trilogy lore. I wouldn't mind if Disney freakin' rebooted those without rebooting the original trilogy. In fact I kind of hope they do (they won't since the prequels are still money makers and popular with young people). Some episodes of the Clone Wars were 100x better (though there's plenty of crap in there too). In terms of how this relates to Rebels.. Idunno. Whatever. I loved some aspects of the Clone Wars series (basically the 10% of the episodes that were good, 2% taht were great :P). I wouldn't mind seeing some connections there I guess. Ashoka was a fine character that is sadly infinitely more interesting than Prequel-Anakin who is still just an insane guy who kills younglings because reasons. It would be neat to see her story come to an end in this series. Other than that I'd hope they'd ignore most of the prequels. As for the general knowledge of Jedi even among the Imperials... that might be due to a North Korea-like control on information. I'd imagine after the Jedi were destroyed they really continued just slandering them like crazy, maybe to the point of making them seem like an "ancient religion" and nothing more than a bunch of cultists. Honestly, I'd love to see some of the inner workings of the Empires, how they controlled information and the populace. It didn't SEEM like they did so through fear and power all the time.
  10. Where the heck are you people seeing pictures of the sets? XP
  11. Because it's out there. There are pictures of the sets (at least preliminary) and some people have access. To think otherwise especially since we've got prices now is weird :P. LEAK SOMEONE!
  12. You say that but the discussion was relating TMNT and Marvel -together- (specifically the marketable comparison of the two) and when talking about that in the TMNT thread I was told to come here. It's a circle if you've notice ;p.
  13. Well I was just talking about TMNT in relation to X-Men specifically, not all of Marvel. My guess is that TMNT might sell better than Superheroes? I'm not sure. Without seeing sales charts or the contracts it's hard to say.
  14. That's a perfectly good answer. The modern X-Men movies simply aren't great toy affairs. The Comics and toys don't rake in a huge sum. The current TOP -MARVEL- films seem to be the ones that Lego already does, Captain America, Thor and Avengers. Mixed in some Spiderman because it's got a cartoon... and you've got yourself a good soup :P. X-Men on the other hand again, isn't in great toy shape. It doesn't have a TV show. It doesn't have any current movies that quite fit with the toy business as much. X-Men First Class and the upcoming one and the Wolverine movies aren't as big of toy sellers. X-Men doesn't have as much on it's plate right now and not as much is marketable. Notice how none of the recent X-Men movies have really made a lasting impression on toys in toy stores? It's still all Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Avengers and Batman and right now Superman. And arguably those ones are also aimed more at kids with the X-Men and Wolverine taking a much more mature tone. The fact is at the moment X-Men just is not as marketable. At least not until a popular X-Men TV show comes out. And I'd say Days of Future Past isn't going to ignite a toy storm that sticks very long. Meanwhile TMNT has one of the most popular kids show on TV right now (with both kids and adults). It has an upcoming Micheal Bay movie (as much as many of us hate his work it DOES get attention). It's got a lot more going for it at the moment.
  15. TMNT is popular. Probably just more marketable than the X-Men right now who just have a movie occasionally compared to the series and upcoming movies for TMNT.
  16. If there's no different suits it'll suck. I really really wish they'd start giving some more variance in the Batman and Spiderman suits. I mean the action figure lines have crazy alternative suits. We need more of that :p. It would give me reason to buy all these sets.
  17. Nothing but pricing? Come on I know the info is out there. Someone LEAK!
  18. No. That's not so much a leak as it's been known for like a year and they've shown them off. http://www.playmates...classic-figures The Bebop and Rocksteady toys are part of the Classic Collections line based on the old series. They're coming out in November :P but the old Turtles are already out. So you cannot really use this to say anything because they always do Classic lines.
  19. Too many Spiderman sets (seriously, I don't need 10 spiderman minifigures :P, though I guess the same could be said for my too many Batmans) and too few X-Men ones. :(
  20. I've never been able to get into mini, micro or minimalist. I just don't like them. I'm pretty demanding. When possible I demand it to be to scale to the minifigures because I'm a minifigure guy. The micro things almost universally don't appeal unless it's something like a mini city with the Lizard Guy rampaging in it :P.
  21. I'm worried they're going to nerf it to kid levels. Disney XD does that a lot. They had more freedom to do some pretty non-kiddie things with Cartoon Network. Disney XD? I doubt they'll be doing much. Might even sacrifice plot to make it more "kid friendly" like all their shows do.
  22. I think the only way you can hope for Bebop and Rocksteady is if they HAPPEN to do a Rhino and Pig d00d in Chima some day (therefore have the molds, roughly :P) and someone Cuusoos an original series set. Anyways, this time last year we had the TMNT sets leaked already. What's taking you leakers so long? :(
  23. You need a better camera. :P Anyways my only issue with this set was the coloration. Orange and Purple? Yeah I know he appears that way in the comic sometimes but that doesn't stop it from being ugly. The first version with the Black and White is therefore superior in color.
  24. I wonder if getting this third Zelda to get to 10,000 will make them reconsider doing a new mold or two for it. Freakin' 3 Zeldas... Probably more to come if they don't pass the review.
