Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine

I just checked my bank. They haven't even charged my card yet. I'm considering myself screwed and really quite pissed at Lego. This is my TO GET set of the year practically and I've really been looking forward to it. If it doesn't actually ship and I get screwed and have to wait another 30 days that'll be the last time I use their overcharged services. I've been buying from them less and less and will just fully switch to stuff like Amazon where I get better prices and free 2-day shipping. :/ -
Best Minifigure Display Cases Available?
BrickG replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've considered those ones but the way they're just for individuals kind of gets to me. They'd look more cluttered if I got a bajillion of them. -
Something more adult. Lego's official ones kind of suck IMO. I'm really looking at http://www.brickdisplaycase.com/ which look pretty awesome. Any other recommendations? These are nice and enclosed, black and white. They just look good. :P\ The only thing they're missing is lighting. I'm considering buying 1 or 2....

I ordered before that. :P I've seen it happen before. They don't actually ship the things based on a first come first serve. It's pretty annoying. -
I'm still very unsure :P. Soo.... what kind of stats does the printer need? 1200dpi? I still barely know waht ALPS is... I wish I knew stuff about printers... I'm unfamiliar with printer statistics and am not sure what to look for. Sadly there's about 1000 choices so that doesn't help. I just want quality. Nothing but quality prints for tiny little decals. Speed doesn't matter. Nothing else matters. But I'm not sure how to look for that specifically...

That's the first alternate hood I've liked. It keeps the form better than the first alternate hood. -

Technical difficulties... Well this sucks. I'm afraid to complete my order. The free shipping isn't even appearing. Nothing but standard shipping. Can't hasten it. -
The game is pretty good. Hard as crap unless you know what to do. But good. I cannot say I would ever want these things though. It's a great indie game. I just don't give a crap about its ships.

You can use other parts to make tracks. There's no way you'd get a proportionate Delorean compared to the minifigure if you threw it on the track specific parts. Those tracks are just too small. -
I'm going to give you a life lesson. That is that you go through life as a kid, then you look back and realize kids... are dumb. :P I'd compare it to Pokemon with this comic: Most kids go through this stage where they try to act "non-kiddie" or more adult as they expect is the norm. They gravitate more towards Xbox and less Nintendo (why Call of Duty has a horrible community). They make fun of perfectly good "uncool" stuff like Pokemon just because it SEEMS to them like it's a kids thing. They'll make fun of Lego because it SEEMS like a kid thing too. Then they usually grow up and realize they were dumb kids with stupid ideas about what's acceptable for adults. The point is, whatever you like you like. And that's okay. And a lot of kids are little idiots and will give you trouble for that. But they don't matter because they're little idiots ;p. Most decent adults will have grown out of that stuff. I'm 28 and am into Lego. Sometimes I get some people "making fun" but in a playful adult unserious manner (joking without intent to harm, unlike kids who usually intend to harm ;p) because the truth is most people my age realize how awesome Lego is! The only negative response I've gotten was from my grandpa who once commented about my want for "toys" but he got over it when I started making pretty good money in video games (another area he didn't think much of until I made money). And I don't blame him, old people are like kids, sometimes they're mean because they've got old ideas ;p. But seriously. The "Pokemon Effect" in that comic is true to many MANY things. I believe Lego applies perfectly. With Pokemon that comic is exactly what happened to me. Playing it in Middle School and people loved it. Then in High School everyone got dumb trying to be adult and cool and often shunned or made fun of it. Then college and suddenly everyone realized what stupid kids they were and got back into Pokemon and my college was literally filled with Pokemon players at the release of each new Pokemon game (walking around, Pokemon EVERYWHERE! Like gradescool!).

I think there's too much trial and error to do this long distance. I'll be experimenting a lot for the best results. As for printers... so many printers... still not a great idea what to pick lol... trying to stick around $500...

How would you do a ghost rider's flame head? New custom transparent part that simulates flames? Could be interesting at least. I'd love more X-Men. The (classic) X-Men are my favorite Marvel (used to be Spiderman but I'm kind of sick of them :P).

I had a wonderful dream last night full of hope and beauty. Lego released a set based on the original cartoon. It had Beebop and Rocksteady action figures. Kraang was there too. Original Shredder. It was wonderful. Then I woke up.

I'm not making this a business. It'll be a hobby. That said I'm a perfectionist and I'd just end up hating it if it didn't look that good. What's ALPS and why is it so hard to google?

Electro in that movie form is not something I care for and if the Rhino rumors are true I don't give a crap about that either. Classic or nothing! :P

I actually like Batman Beyond more than normal Batman :P. It's got old retired Batman PLUS a new one that ain't half bad. As for the product placement. It wasn't as bad as Star Trek 2009's car scene. And I didn't actually notice. I have no problem with product placement that is realistic (like ihop being in a town :P) as long as it's not IN YOUR FACE obvious which I don't feel it was in Man of Steel (otherwise I'd have noticed).

I think that looks worse. Yes, the hood is smoother and that's good but the contour and fatness looks worse and un-delorean. -
The posters are deformed to me because clearly these are different people ;p. The eyes are misaligned and stuff. Photoshop that crap to make sense! Anyways, in terms of Marvel movies... of course I'll go see them but at this point I'm not like hyped for them at all. Iron Man is good. The character however doesn't appeal that much to me ("cool" characters do not appeal to me). Iron Man 2 and 3 weren't as good. I swear Thor and Captain America are just B movies with a big name. Good movies. Not great. Not REALLY good. Just good. I mean I'm surprised people complain about the Man of Steel character development. Thor had half as much (Loki is cool though). Captain America had a fairly large cast that all got even less (unless you were Cap you got almost none). Avengers did really well. Wedon is so good with character interactions that they don't need as much development. His characters are so CLEAR you feel like you know them after a few scenes. Sure, Black Widow didn't get much but her character was fun and interesting. The Hulk was a new version and yet it worked. He's one of the only people who can pull off large casts without screwing it up (unlike X-Men 3). I'm probably looking forward to Avengers 2 more than any of the other movies. But right now my most wanted is probably the DC movie... Batman VS Superman / Superman VS Batman (apparently even they don't know what to call it). Assuming Snyder doesn't fully Snyder it.

My guess is if they fix it they'll just quietly update the part somewhere down the line. -
I'm wondering what stats are the best for high quality prints. Though I work with computers I rarely print anything.
