Going to attack STAR TREK minifigure customs.
BrickG replied to BrickG's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Ordered the parts. They'll probably be here in 1-2 weeks. I'll be photoshoping some of the prints now. I've got to go buy a quality printer and decals later. Mysteries to solve: Worf's head Deanna Troi's hair A more idea option for Geordi's hair and visor Riker's hair (I think 99930 is perfect but it doesn't come in brown) -
Cyborg.... It's pretty new that he's been put in as a normal Justice Leaguer. It feels forced. I feel like they put him in there just to make them have a black guy :P. I mean, he's an awesome character but historically has been young. He's better with the Titans and other groups where he actually has good and fun relations and a history with the heroes there. I mean his character is kind of boring in the Justice League. He doesn't have the same level of interactions with them. Plus he's half their age (well, this New 52 crap sucks so maybe they aged him up ;p). Cyborg is not a core member of the Justice League to me. If they feel the need to diversify the admittedly basically all white (and black hair :P) crew just bring John Stewart back. He was made for it and fits nicely. Hawkgirl too. I think the toon did really well with the characters.

The Legend of Zelda Project finally reaches 10,000 supporters
BrickG replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Only with the bird head sticking out (when it's not it goes towards the back like normal). And Nintendo wouldn't do Minish cap which is not exactly the most memorable or popular Zelda :P or current. I would say it's chances are not improved because of Minish Cap. -
I have little interest in Guardians of the Galaxy. Honestly there's a reason stuff like Batman and Superman and Spiderman are the usual candidates for big movies. Their stories are better :P. Guardians of the Galaxy aren't even tier 2 (like Iron Man was). More like Tier 4. I don't see them going up much :P. That movie has got to be great to get me to buy Guardians of the Galaxy lego. Also... am I the only one who dislikes Stan Lee? I'd hope Stan would never become a minifigure :P. He's a dirty old man who takes most of the credit for a lot of stuff he had very little to do with (sometimes nothing to do with).

Well I'm going on a business trip thingy next month to the UK but this ain't nowhere near that and it'll probably be gone. I'd love to buy this thing...

If Nolan isn't involved my prediction is that this movie will kind of suck. It feels like the writers at least partially kept this last movie together (mixed reviews!) and I feel that if Snyder had absolute control of the writing he would have just magnified the movie's problems (lack of development, too much eye candy not enough content) in that Snyder fashion. He's good at what he does but he just does it toooooo much.

I think they're doing this wrong. Introducing a new Batman in a Batman/Superman movie? They seem to want to rush to Justice League asap and I think that's going to bite them in the butt. Don't rush it! Also I find the lack of Wonder Woman disturbing. I hope they don't trivialize her into a Black Widow/Hawkeye role. She NEEDS her own movie. And the idiots blocked Wedon from doing it... only to have him go and do freakin' Avengers. Bad move DC.

LEGO® CUUSOO 空想 - Turn your model wishes into reality
BrickG replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I like FTL. I've put a lot of time into it. But those ships are boring. I hate mini-ships :P. -

I highly doubt this simply misprint will increase the value by any noticeable margin. Lego misprints don't seem to actually increase sales. Maybe by 50 cents or something crap :P. -
So we get a detailed Tarfur or whatever but still new new Chewie? Chewie is the lamest minifigure at this point. His paintless face is plain like the old crappy minifigures. His Crossbow blaster is still medieval style with an arrow. We NEED a new Chewie already. XP

This might be a version of the Riddler from the new batman series. Also I assume that Batmobile is from it too. My guess is that they'll grow on people if that's the case.

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
BrickG replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think the real problem with the hoverboard is that there's simply not a piece that works with it. You can use the skateboard but it's got pegs sticking out the bottom which would make it kind of suck. That piece without the pegs would be perfect with the right sticker/print. But that would require a new mold.- 207 replies

The Comic-Con minifigures aren't quite as depressing this time. Amazing Spiderman is just practically normal Spiderman. Spidewoman I've never cared for. Black Suit Superman I can live without (much rather have that Bizzaro or a real alternative Superman costume). Green Arrow is probably the best of the bunch.

That part is lame and in no way would work for Link. It's just too forced. Link's hat never points forward. The hair would likely be part of the mold. Nintendo is incredibly protective of their franchises. They simply wouldn't allow them to even USE something so inaccurate. -
How did I miss this? Anyways, I'm getting that FLASH no matter what. Freakin' finally! I hope we get more League members. I want a Green Lanturn. John Stewart version because honestly I never had an interest in any Green Lanturn until the toon came out with John.

I've got to admit. The 1988 thing is bothering me... They said 1955 so often in that movie it's ingrained into my skull. -

BrickG replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Everyone has been saying the Cuusoo model was better but honestly I don't see it. I think the contour of this one is much closer to that of the actual car. Yeah, the hood could be sloped (I hope they would not increase the height though) but other than that I think the actual model that's being released is superior. The Cuusoo one is just too bulky and stuff.- 207 replies

I've always been a little put off when it comes to the height of Lego cars. They're gigantic, more compareable to a bus due to the odd minifigure proportions :P. Cars aren't that tall. :) -
A giant Lego minifigure standing 4,30m (14 feet) tall!

I can understand people wanting to protect kids but as an adult lego fan without kids I don't feel like being treated like a potential pedophile is the proper action. In fact I believe it to be extremely terrible. Treat me like a criminal? I've never even gotten a ticket. It's flat out corruption. I feel for parents but you CANNOT use a wrong to protect from wrong. Well you can, you'd just be wrong (and a terrible person who is basically saying I'm a pedophile). Seriously. Discrimination. Generalizations of the worst kind. How dare people treat me like a criminal or support treating me like a criminal. Lucky for me though I don't want to go to Legoland :P. But if I did I doubt I'd have noticed that odd rule either. -

I'm thinking about making a custom head piece for worf... not sure if I actually will. I haven't done 3d modelling for like 6 years and I'm unsure of how it would turn out physically. I... might... experiment. -
It was decent. The plot was a bit messy at times but I don't think it deserves to do so bad financially or get the negative reviews it's been getting. It's not a bad movie at all. Pretty fun actually. With the $$$ it's making there's no way a second will come along. Too bad.

http://www.shapeways.com/model/130160/master-sword.html?li=productBox-search# Seems really rough. Is there a better material? I can't even tell what the heck the difference between the materials is. Might just buy some 'cause I'm curious. Still better than at home 3d printers can usually do... by a long shot. Anyone tried stuff like this?

lol Worf isn't THAT bald ;p. I have no idea what I'm going to do for him. I've mapped out hair possibilities for Riker, Data and Geordi. Riker: 99930 (but I'd want it in dark brown! Maybe I'll recolor.... though not too keen on that) OR 62810 Which is a bit more messy than I'd like but comes in a better color. Data will probably use 91081 or 3901 (the classic one). Geordi... no great choices. The flat top is just ridiculous. I'll probably do 3901. Worf is forever a mystery. Picard is a printed hair. Troi and Crusher are easy.
