  1. Oh no! I still have to build and enter D: when does it end? I'll mark it on my calendar so I don't forget!
  2. Congratulations to the winners. Excellent jobs! Sorry I didn't help vote for anyone not see previous entries :(
  3. My most recent licensed Lego product purchased was today at Walmart. Upon news about the Disney Princess polybag I went to my local Walmart to see if it was available. I'm on the other new polybags for friends I found the Disney Princess polybag Rapunzel's market visit (30116). According to my Walmart purchase the price was $3.97 as a subtotal. I've already built the figure and it's model which is a small food cart with flowers in a basket. I would review this set on EB for all of you if I knew how and I had proper authority to review Lego sets on this site. From what I've compared of this version of Rapunzel to the one in the creativity tower said they seem to be exactly the same. There are no variations between the hair face dress or torso printing. The polybag has many interesting elements which are not commonly found in Lego sets this small. The combination of turquoise on many pieces along with brown and pink works out to a colorful advantage for the appeal and style of the set. Among the interesting elements of this said you can receive two small mind cart wheels which have been used previously for castle and city themes. You also receive a one bite to hitch piece which has a ball joint that connects to make souls and legend beast sets (this piece is not brand-new as it has been around since at least the late 90s). The blue bucket included with this set is not too common nowadays but it is a similar piece to my first Lego Princess set (10656).
  4. Although I do not know about its availability I could agree along these lines as far as predictions. Polybags have been varied between stores and licenses. For example the first TMNT polybag that we had was from toys R us. I am uncertain that it will still appear there again since we had it once before. In Walmart you can find the Disney Princess polybag. This shows that I sensed polybags are varied between store locations as well as generic themes from Lego such as friends city and Chima. With the release of new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets this year I would also imagine the polybag appearing from a shop at home promotion. It would make viable sense that this polybag would be available with the release of more TMNT sets. Just with the Lego movie sets once they were released they had a promotional polybag based on the LEGO Movie that helped boost sales. In promotions with Lego through shop at home or in the Lego store traditionally the items available were associated with another theme. Four and another example the hero factory accessory pack was available with any hero factory purchase in July 2013. This would motivate people to buy the accessory pack through buying your factory sets. This would also enable compatibility with the product because the accessory pack can work with other hero factory figures that were purchased to get the accessory pack. In short all I am saying is that this promotional polybag may be available once the new TMNT sets are sold in stores and on the LEGO website. It may be an offer so that people will buy the new TMNT sets from Lego. I agree with you as far as their variations. I have not watched the 1980s cartoons but I am slightly familiar with the modern cartoon from which the sets are based. If I keep up with the series I will let you know if the clothing variations are relevant to the show. As far as I know from the show they do not have these outfits available. And again you must remember that I have only seen half of the first season. Although I am hoping in the future for a figure of Casey Jones, I do not believe that Lego would make the patrol buggies shown above. Such model is very similar to the one included with the Baxter robot rampage set. Although this is one of the four buggies that would have been used for the turtles, they said adaptation seems to match the ones shown above very well and also matches the ones in the show. One could attempt to buy them separately and then combine them with other turtles in order to get all four with their own accessories. Unfortunately you would have to buy them from other vendors so that you do not buy four sets of the Baxter robot rampage only to get the buggies. In short the chances of Lego making the patrol buggies for each turtle are very unlikely. I would imagine that if Casey Jones had a significant purpose in the modern show or movie they would have made him as a figure.
  5. Good thoughts about these figures. Although I am not sure about how their price declines before the street date, I can agree that they would choose not to distribute Moe as a figure. He personally would not come with a beer or wine glass but it is suggestive still. Not only to mention that he works in a bar but he also is known to be suicidal in the show, making him an unfavorable character for children audiences. It would make sense for itchy and scratchy to be separate characters. If they were made into one package they would have less articulation. For example such packages that include a figure with another small animal are Sea captain and trendsetter. The animals in both of these mini figure packs do not have movement other than flexibility. Itchy and scratchy would sell better if they had their own packages so that they can be designed for better figure purposes. I had not considered previously about how kids like animal figures in Lego form. I suppose this would explain why we've had anthropomorphic figures such as the guardians in the Atlantis series, legends of Chima, and the animal costumes in figure packs previously released. It is understood that anthropomorphic figures have appeal to younger audiences and provide more variety to the types of figures that can be made. I am surprised to know that WhiteFang will not only review this series but obtain it before other vendors. Although I do not know of his position in the Lego community this may make sense if he is of higher reviewer rank. Members of the press would be more likely to get such items before the public such as we have had with other things such as the Lego movie collectors tin with nine figures from the movie. Traditionally collectible mini figures series are in stores for 3 to 3 1/2 months of the year. Every year releases three new series, it's mathematically brings us to four months per series. The Lego movie series was released during the last week of December 2013. Therefore the release date of The Simpsons in April would make sense. This time span is approximately four months after the Lego movie was released as a figure series. By these estimates you could predict that the Simpson series will be available from late April to late July or August.
  6. Honestly when I first thought set images of the Prince of Persia's set I thought that it was an Indiana Jones set based on the Last Crusade lol
  7. Today at Walmart I found the polybag Rapunzel's market visit for $3.97. Also available were new polybags from Lego friends such as Stephanie's bakery stand and Emma's flower stand. All three of these were for the same price and are heavily in stock. If somebody can show me how to make up review on EB I would be happy to review the sets (as long as I am allowed to make reviews).
  8. Oh. So it's availability has already been known :( well thanks for the info! I might try I get to a walmart to collect these!
  9. Why what's wrong? Also thanks for the images! Even though I already found the first one on Flickr through hothbricks and sent it to you and Connor. See justin? Been trying to find news! And use EB oh my gosh! Thanks for the news :)
  10. Today BrickStacker of YouTube and Instagram bought the Tangled polybag at Walmart for $3.98. See his Instagram for more info. 30116, 37 pieces, ages 5-12. Features a food cart with a croissant and the princess from Tangled. Not sure if different from the set.
  11. Very well done project ! Excellent detailed to make it realistic. The environment works well with one another's princess areas. :)
  12. Interesting. I'll check them out!
  13. Wow J2G thanks! I've scrolled the many pages of EB and I am happy to find this :) I'll bookmark it and give thoughts later.
  14. This set is available now through the spring catalog and online at the lego shop website. It's $15. Doesn't say in the catalog that it's exclusive. Drop coins in the hole on the top. One minifig. It's a nice build IMO but I wonder how it looks when the coins drop in. The smaller ones look good so far. I'd at least like to get a taste of the theme before diving in full.
  15. Very nice review. Well detailed through the building process and good rating system. I have some reviews id like to post but I'm not sure how. Can anyone help?
  16. Wonderful! I'm amazed how much detail you can fit in such a small area. Great job! Anything shown on the inside?
  17. Very cool! Great design and high quality.
  18. Thanks! Very cool! What about screenshots from the video game for better angles and views? There are several already floating around (no pun intended) with his flying chair in them.
  19. Thanks for the help! As a budding brick filmer, I will look this over and keep these tips in mind
  20. "Woo-hoo! It's The Simpsons! The LEGO Minifigures series continues with this great collection of 16 of your favorite characters from TV's longest-running comedy. There's Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie Simpson, as well as Grampa, Ned Flanders, Ralph Wiggum, Nelson Muntz, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Chief Wiggum, Krusty the Clown, Itchy & Scratchy, Mr. Burns and Milhouse. Each The Simpsons minifigure comes in a sealed 'mystery' bag with its own special accessories, display plate and collector's leaflet. Buy a bag, open it up and see which one you get! 21. This all sounds amazing but I sadly cannot attend. I wish all who are going to have a wonderful time!
  22. Thank you very much friend!
  23. Not that it's impossible but it would be difficult to make chewy have a medal. Maybe it would be a matter of printing instead of molding? It would make sense since three were awarded after the battle of Yavin, not two as already made.
  24. Excuse me but I just heard about this now. Where can I learn more info about what the event is, when it will take place and how I can participate?
  25. Here'sine started. http://worldwideimage.deviantart.com/art/Adventures-in-LEGO-Ch-1-A-New-Beginning-430637370
