  1. It's so cool to see this shaping up! And maybe most impressive; I don't see any bitemarks!
  2. Haha, the spirit is there indeed! Best of luck on the lottery!
  3. Why are you in such a rush to get your hands on all these instructions, when you say yourself you won't be able to build them before a very long time?
  4. I don't get the people who think it's not OK to build and show off a replica, yet still are as eager as the rest of us to see pictures of the actual model! On topic; I still don't get why they opted for two 3L liftarms in the doors, when two 6L thin liftarms would look cleaner. Especially since that part was used a lot recently (42025).
  5. Interesting! While I do think TLG could have made a lot of money by introducing a military theme (with kids (and adults) these days being in to Call of Duty and the likes, as well as the increase in other modern military media (films, TV-shows etc), I would rather see that they don't introduce such a theme! War is indeed a fascinating topic, but it is an adult topic IMO. I'm ex-military, did two tours to Afghanistan, enjoyed it, and would have continued to do it, hadn't it been for certain civilian complications (girlfriend). But having experienced war in its raw form, I would never want my future children to do it. And the way I see it, kids these days are exposed to a glorified, exciting, action packed, good-guys-vs-bad-guys picture of what war is, through video games, TV, toys etc etc, and I think it's absolutely great that LEGO takes a clear stand against this "trend", by saying they never will produce these kind of toys!
  6. Well, if you can build that gearbox in LDD, then the axles shouldn't be a problem at all
  7. If you are planning to build an LDD MOC around those axles, there will be a lot more parts
  8. Wow! If When I can afford one of those, I'll easily hire you to recreate it in Lego! I'm pretty sure I can afford it when that time comes. For now I'll make do with my 22 ft trailerable sailboat with a big hole in its hull. Awesome work Edwin! Can not wait to see this in more detail! EDIT: http://www.boatinternational.com/2015/02/16/feadship-launches-46m-motor-yacht-kiss/ ?
  9. Independent suspension with drive and steering does need quite a lot of width with the available parts.. Have you considered making a live axle instead? They can be made significantly narrower.. The proposed idea here with the small A-arms doesn't look very practical at all
  10. Swingloader Mk IV?

  11. Wow! Only just under two years! Looking forward to checking out the instructions! EDIT: Upon reviewing the instructions, I think I can see why this took so long! It seems to be an extremely complicated build, maybe a little too much for some people
  12. No one can deny you selling whatever you have bought with your money, even if it is their design. If you know the designer, perhaps give them a heads up that you are about to sell a MOC/MOD of their design, and credit them in the ad for your sale. If they are not fine with it, sell it anyway - like I said; it's your investment, the designer is not going to make or lose any money from it, they'll probably just gain a fan or two more In my opinion (keep in mind, this is my opinion, and this topic is asking for opinions), selling a MOC/MOD is no different than selling any official set. If the MOC has paid (digital) instructions, then I think it is fair that the seller inform the buyer on where to get them, and for the buyer to purchase them from the MOC/MOD's designer. That way, the designer will actually end up making money off of it
  13. stumbled upon this site last week, was impressed with the work! Wasn't sure whether it was his own MOCs, or indeed the ones I was already familiar with:-)
  14. That sucks.. Unfortunately there is practically nothing you can do about it though, once it's out there, it's out there,,, I'd say go for publishing in purely physical form for your third book
  15. Yeah, I think it was 9V System who had some info he was not aloud to share
  16. Looks great! Some of the best/cleanest panel work I have ever seen
  17. Wow! I can't imagine these phrases being used in any other MOC! Good progress! And again; fantastic MOC!
  18. that's pretty cool indeed! Love the sound it makes!
  19. Seeing as many of us here in the Technic forum (myself included) rarely seem to venture outside our comfort zone (said forum), I feel the need to direct some extra attention towards this fantastic MOC of a Royal Air Force GR9 Harrier made by Bricktrix that he posted in the "Special Themes" forum. Just.. Wow! Look at that thing! Discussion should of course be in the dedicated topic
  20. Wow! This is hands down one of the best modern military aircraft MOCs I have ever seen! That, and the fact the Harrier is one of my favourite planes Absolutely beautiful! The custom decals and camo job really make the model pop Now off to view the photos in your flickr album! EDIT: Again; WOW! Love the use of misc minifig tools for pitot tubes and stuff in the nose area! Also, the front landing gear is just perfect! Cockpit, engine.. the overall shape of the plane! Beyond words!
  21. I'm glad you liked it That was what I was going for initially, but I figured the female CV joint part (the DBG one) is a tad short to actually fit a wheel to reliably, seeing as you're left with just 1L of axle after passing it through the pinhole. Still, it shouldn't be too difficult to mod it to be that way
  22. Wow, that is simply fantastically good looking! It just looks so real! Very impressive indeed!
  23. Why all the 8043 vs 42009 stuff? Isn't this topic about which set(s) brought the individual user out of their dark age?
  24. Good start, looking forward to seeing how this evolves! Love your custom tracks setup
