Nicely done, MKJ, those capes work very well for tanning hides! The ones drying on the line are probably my favorite detail, and the minifig combinations are great too!

Eslandola Colonial Council, First Cycle, 617, IN SESSION
Garmadon replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The ETWC delegation arose in their seats and a thunderous applause sounded out (how Captain Whiffo even manages to clap at all with a hookhand is a bit of a mystery - but like everything else, when he does clap, he does it thunderously). "An excellent piece of sage advice from our Admius Legistrad all around," exclaimed the latter - "and now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be following his example. I've got some trading to do! Too-dli-doo!" And with that Captain Whiffo dashed out of the room and disappeared. A moment later he returned, however, exclaiming, "No, I'm not bowing out of my seat permanently! ETWC for the win!"- 76 replies

Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
Garmadon replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Congrats on the well-deserved promotion, Bodi! And (OOC) re: the tax thing - actually, while IC my characters disagree and find Oleon's tax outright villainous, of course, OOC I do like it - very Oleanderish And a nice way to distinguish the factions more and give 'em a bit more character -
Eslandola Colonial Council, First Cycle, 617, IN SESSION
Garmadon replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Captain Whiffo and Captain Bowditch had been deep in conversation ever since they had been last called upon to speak, and at this address from the MCTC delegation, a thunderous round of applause sounded from the ETWC bench... "Excellent, excellent," exclaimed Captain Whiffo - "the very ticket! Upon mature deliberation, both Captain Bowditch and myself agree heartily with our Corry friends, and would only vote for the self-same type of statement from our free Eslandola. (The 100% tax was irony, of course, you know.)" "No it wasn't!" threw in Agent Guelds - "I still support such a thing entirely." "Well - whether we get our friend here to see reason or not," Captain Bowditch finished off, "I think we in the ETWC may safely promise the same freedom from taxes in any and all ETWC ports that our friends in the MCTC have assured us will obtain in their own." And the ETWC delegation again took their seats, Agent Guelds muttering under his breath something about wishing good old George de Pontelli was there to back him up and help the others see the opportunities here...- 76 replies

Garmadon replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
What to say? - great rowboats, mate! Very nice scene, that palm tree is fantastic, and I'm really liking your depiction of Bloody Bill there as well - great to see these pirates getting a bit more attention That dangling... thing... is really tripping me out, though- 6 replies

Eslandola Colonial Council, First Cycle, 617, IN SESSION
Garmadon replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Captain Whiffo woke up suddenly and rubbed his eyes, looking about him slowly. "What's going on, my dear Agent?" Agent Guelds yawned. "Captain Whiffo - I must say, I haven't the least idea." "Of course not..." interjected Captain Bowditch under his breath. "I believe, sir, that they are discussing taxing those who take refuge or trade in our settlements. Oleon has called for an outrageous tax for all vessels trading in their ports." "What!?!" exclaimed the captain. "Well, in that case, I'll support a 100% tax on all Oleander ships stopping in our ports," he retorted, turning away and crossing his arms. "You may put in place a 100% tax on all vessels in Eslandolan ports for all I care," added Agent Guelds, "provided at least half the taxes get handed over to a certain Agent Guelds of my acquaintance." Captain Bowditch mused a bit. "Well, Oleon's tax is outrageous, certainly, and as there currently is no benefit to a port to have more traders (rather the opposite), we might as well put a 100% tax on all vessels putting into Eslandolan ports except ETWC ships - but in the interests of common sense and good relationships, I'd support a small tax for Oleander ships, and none for all other nationalities - except for Mardier, maybe..." "As long as the ETWC doesn't have to do any of the paperwork, at least," he added quickly.- 76 replies

Well! There's another MRCA build to go on my list of things to build - can't miss out on an epic sinking (at least, I'm going to assume it was epic )! Good job with this, guys, great to see the MRCA back up and running! I've got a few suggestions/ideas for future runs, but I know you guys have been working on smoothing out the kinks a lot, so I'll wait to see if you don't catch them first in the next MRCA or two before sticking my nose in Oh, but one thing I'd like to ask for is if you could organize it under member name from now on (or maybe faction:member name) if it's not more difficult, as I think that would be much more useful to most of those who are looking for the results than ship names (especially for those who've got heaps of ships - aka, not me ) Keep up the good work!

[COR - OCT FB] Temple of Poseidon, Jameston
Garmadon replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That pattern between those columns is just too good, mate! Great job with the gold above the entrance as well - altogether an excellent classic example of Oleander architecture! -
Those ships certainly deserve a second life! I know you've posted them here before, but they'll still both downright epic! Neat work with this little scene as well, a very bold move with the lime green, but that worked out pretty nicely here! I'm liking the hat for coin collecting too!

[SR - FB3] - Oct '17 - Affairs of State: Epilogue
Garmadon replied to Kwatchi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Another one of those scenes we've seen too few of in BoBS (I do remember at least one other from MKJ, though), and one that was sure to pop up in this corner of the world some time or other! Very nicely done, Kwatchi, and so looking forward to where you both take your stories this Era! At any rate, I'm sure it won't disappoint! Kudos on getting those market scenes in there too! -
Gladensong (A Fairy Tree House)
Garmadon replied to Siercon and Coral's topic in Guilds of Historica
Wow - gorgeous work with that foliage and vegetation; the huge flowers are incredible, and I'm really liking the use of the trans-green on the tree! My favorite bit has got to be that little boat though - too cute Those bees and butterflies are too good to miss mentioning as well! -
That stern...! Great work with this, Bodi, those planks on the sides are great, and the Silent Mary's turrets are incorporated very well here too! And of course, I can't fail to mention the ship's interior!

A great collection of some of your best minifigures, Captain B! - some of my favorites are Captain Cookie and the Marquis from Oleon (of course ), along with the swashbuckler, highwayman, and Eslandolan piper, but there are a lot of other nice ones as well (can't miss Alberto da Pontelli!) Nicely done, and I'm looking forward in suspense to the rest of your story!

That tomahawk in process with the skate on the end is some seriously great part usage! Neat build all arouind - the minifig posing and that grindstone are quite nice, and this is a topic we haven't seen before, if I'm not mistaken. Well done! -
Nicely done, Faladrin! The Alexport fellow is quite neat, and the MCTC mercenary and banana farmer are great figs as well! I'm liking the plant with that Oleander colonist too!

Boys wanting to Play with Their Toys
Garmadon replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I'd figured the same thing as SilentWolf, but the four different sides connecting makes this way cooler! A very accurate portrayal of Oleon's naval affairs Some great micro-ships here, that admiral's flagship has got to be my favorite of the bunch - the checkered sides are excellent! -

That shopping cart! Great little vig, KB, the hammock is excellent indeed and that's a neat group of micro-ships too! -
What to say? - another great series! The Corrington Cop, Pirate Captain, Hangman, and Tribal Drummer are some of my favorites, but there are a lot of other neat ones as well! Really like that Pirate Captain's quip too! The first is Sensei Wu's here, and the other is Cole ZX's - both are really awesome, though!
