This one is really ugly. Sticker colors don't match as well, obviously. -

New Technic parts. Unfortunately the 45° knob gear is out of stock. But here's your chance to stock up on yellow Z28 and banana gears. :) P.S. That 3M cross axle connector is Neon Yellow and only used once in 60414 City Fire Station. P.P.S. For reasons unknown to mankind, Technic bricks and some rims are not listed under the Technic category lol. The dark blue 12L brick and blue 56904 rims from the buggy are also available.- 5,507 replies

Looking at the Speed Champions G-Wagon, I have a strong hunch that the LEGO Technic one will also be the AMG version in black. :( -

Who can successfully count the number of stickers? It's so cheap to mix stickers (blue) and prints (red), when even the marketing images are showing them all crooked and with bad color match. And if you thought GRINGOT TS was dumb, here we get a nice N AS A logo: *images taken from Stonewars.de -

The Minions Mansion will include a bright light orange pneumatic hose. The buildable Gru brings for the first time a light nougat Bionicle eye and 71479 the same part in dark blue. That 3x3 macaroni elbow element already comes in 4 different colors in Dreamzzz.- 5,507 replies

For WeDo 2.0 it made no difference to use 3.7V for educational purpose, those medium motors could simply run slower. They were designed to run safely at 9V as well. But in an RC race car that's supposed to be fast an powerful it makes no sense other than there was no space left to add 2 battery cells. There are also people who saw the Porsche at the Nürnberg Toy Fair in person and claim that the car will not break any speed records. P.S. the WeDo 2.0 hub could also run with only 2 AA batteries so even less than 3V. The rechargeable battery was an expensive extra.

Made a quick mock-up and it's pretty much an XL motor in the front paired with 2x L-motors on the rear. I don't see any bevel gears to make the outputs on the sides. The size of the hub will be 9x17x5 modules given the packaging size of 95*x137x43 mm. *including battery box placed next to the hub. Compared to the Boost Hub, which was already massive at 6x16x5, or that weird 4.5V motor w. polarity switch at 6x17x5, this one tops the charts. Instead of making them smaller, we get larger form factor at probably much higher price.

At least they use a high quality Panasonic UR18650A battery in that plastic casing and not a cheap no-name brand, albeit an out of date one with only 2.15A discharge current. Why is the industry so slow and not recognize the benefits of 21700 cells which cost less to make and can have up to 5000 mAh capacity! https://api.pim.na.industrial.panasonic.com/file_stream/main/fileversion/3452 And a better look at the new hub with something that looks like a USB C charging port. Nvm, that's just the led status indicator.

The Dune Ornithopter also uses 48x 2M axles in black but for some reason they had to add 31x in red too just to add a little color for the fans.- 5,507 replies

There is a blogpost on Stonewars that shows a couple of interesting new Technic elements that have approved/pending patent applications by LEGO and are most likely to appear in future sets. Below are the interesting bits for this theme. The 3x3 macaroni piece is already available in 2 colors in the upcoming Dreamzzz sets.- 5,507 replies

These 3D models of LEGO dice offered as digital play dice on dndbeyond are pretty interesting. Too bad there are no double digit 1x1 round tile prints. Anyone tempted to recreate and 3D print them?- 686 replies

Based on the line-up of classic cars in the Icons (fka CREATOR Expert) theme, I bet it will be the 1974-1982 LP400/S model. Hopefully in a new color like yellow, blue, green or dark purple.

2024 Technic Sets Discussion
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Don't worry. That just means it will not be a retail set but most likely a semi-exclusive set like the orange Lambo and blue Bugatti. -
I was really hoping for a purple Spaceman in that GWP instead of the white one since it's the only color that didn't came out already (except that one 2023 design seminar employee gift set). I already own the orange one and it's bad enough I had to spend 20 bucks for the book to get it while the LUG's could just order them in massive quantities a couple of years ago.

@gyenesvi You don't need new clutch gears for compact 4 speed gearboxes. Even something like this is pretty compact and easy to implement: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-54174/Whathetech/4-speed-sequential-gearbox/#details or just two floating gear pairs linked to the shift drum/stepper: http://sariel.pl/2010/07/4-speed-compact-linear-gearbox/ -
A good look at the backs, alternative head prints and accessories of each minifigure can be found here: https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-71046-series-26-brings-back-best-feature
