  1. @Ngoc Nguyen All I see is a pretty lame influencer video. For a proper speed build see Brick Depot's one posted earlier. It's orange because the profile is probably different from the Yamaha's. And there are two in total.
  2. Did anyone mention the new black wishbone suspension arms (7M wide)? And yet still no realistic caster angle or trapezoidal steering linkage possible?!
  3. Bright Light Orange (aka 47 - Flame Yellow Orange, FBAB18) also confirmed as the set's main color.
  4. Well, I already named it #7 so if LEGO wants to use the same name, tough luck, it's copyrighted now. Of course I am willing to negotiate for the right price. ;)
  5. @GooberReboot is right of course. This new connector probably has a 15° angle. Don't think LEGO would do something like half increments of 22.5° (11.25°).
  6. Can't believe this idea was signed off by someone. Why can't a licensed Technic set both look good and have realistic funtions? Better buy a discounted Zetros plus the Audi tires and build the alternate model from Grohl. You end up with a motorized G-wagon with an actual working diff lock for the same price. Ok, cool. For a minute there I thought they are just 2491 - 81.5 x 29 ones.
  7. Nice exposed blue pins, half axles sticking out and large holes in the rear. How can this unfinished thing be called a flagship set?
  8. I'm sure TLG will not be amused that their lifelong collaboration with their raw oil beneficiary went astray to the competitor. I like the realism of the large gas station, but don't see a place where it would fit in the LEGO City, nor do I see myself putting it on display as a stand alone set. Does it have working lights or is it just box art?
  9. July Technic parts update including McLaren P4, Kawasaki, orange Lambo, cheap lbg balloon tires and ultra expensive AMG F1 slicks etc.
  10. Why would it need to float if the real thing literally lifts out of the water at higher speed? The pneumatic function is the lifting of the two foils. I think it's a really cool and bold choice for a set and a nice change from all the vehicles we usually get in the Technic theme. It's also huge and those plastic sails must be a record breaker in terms of size as well. P.S. This yacht is powered by human power (cyclists) so it's cool to add a crank shaft underneath to replicate the propulsion method. Kudos to the designer who worked on this.
  11. Just think about it. With 3€/3£ more you can buy the Heavy Duty Bulldozer, a proper set in a box with printed instructions and with 195 pieces of which 48 are the larger chain link pieces...
  12. It's out in Germany as well. The helicopter will release on August 23rd. Screw Blue Ocean and their greedy price increases. No way I am paying 7 Euro for less pieces than in the 4€ official LEGO polybags and 40/86 are cheap chain links. Half the brochure is only advertisement.
  13. This is how the brickbuilt P1 logo is done and fixed. I think the "TM" is also a print on a 1x2 beam or a micro-panel. Or #6 connector + 1x3 beam is also possible.
  14. You are right of course. Don't know why I thought the speed difference would be 1:5. Since these are the only visible gears included in the set, I think the speed difference will be only 1:2 (logo: flywheel), while the crank rotates at 12:20*36:28 = 1.29:1 compared to the flywheel.
  15. I think I got it. Diff case fixed to flywheel rings, while inner planetary gears fixed on one end to frame and rotating on the other end with 1:5 of the case rotation speed.
  16. Now this here brings me to an interesting idea. What if it's both a "sound box" mimicking an engine rev-up and a turning logo in one. You would turn the crank and one shaft would spin much faster, while the logo spins much slower like in a showroom. Or more likely the orange rings act like a flywheel and stabilize the spinning logo so that it stays balanced. Hence the need for different output speeds and a diff.
  17. Yes, I need higher resolution images and a parts list. I also doubt now that it can act like a turntable and support the whole car. It doesn't look sturdy enough in the back. I guess this explains why CaDA didn't get the P1 license from McLaren and had to stick to "Silent Assassin".
  18. There is no reason to use so many gears and heavy duty differential if it would be just a spinning logo turned by a crank. I think it will hold the weight of the whole car too. Seems the top part has more printed text, maybe the car model included too. So another exclusive GWP in a cheap yellow box for a high threshold. Work in progress (the P is not quite right yet):
  19. Yes, saw that too. As I said, Blue Ocean magazine gifts always have a 6 digit set nr. They get packed by themselves, unlike official LEGO polybags. Can't wait to get my hands on this. Much cooler than the usual City magazine gifts.
  20. No bueno. A bit cartoonish but closer to a Sikorsky Skycrane. I assume it was designed like this to leave enough space for the cargo/winch. It's better to move it just 1M forward.
  21. Search for Philo's parts packs on his website or on ldraw. You know we have a special page "Generic Building Help Topic" for these kind of inquiries or just make a separate thread for your Mini-Zetros project.
  22. That towel looks cool, but it's a bit outdated since it's missing the LBG, Brown and Dark Purple Spaceman and the proper Green helmet exists now too.
  23. Sorry to ruin your teal dreams, but that 6x4 and the #6 connector are just regular green. Here's a better pic and my Studio file: heavy_lift_helicopter.io
  24. You were right. A 20+14mm wheel side by side. How lame :((
  25. Oh, that would be unfortunate as the curvature looks different so I thought it's really a different rim. And to make it worse, the lifestyle pic shows only 4 rims from the top...
