General Part Discussion
R0Sch replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice new 30.4mm Technic rims in flat silver in two different widths (20 & 40mm), but a big middle finger for the same old truck tires.- 5,507 replies

The set is now officially revealed on lego.com. At least they did the rims right. Must be rocket science to design new street tires with 2 different width over at Billund and the CEO couldn't afford a new Ferrari every year anymore.

Same as all the other Blue Ocean magazines. A paper bag with the parts and the instructions included in the magazine. -

But this will NOT be a polybag but rather a mini-build, so with 86 parts not a bad exclusive magazine gift at all. The previous polybags were always cheaper separately than together with the magazine so I'm glad they ditched that. Guess the set name is "Wrecking Ball". -

Thanks @anyUser for the build guide. This set will most likely be a magazine gift so probably a 6 digit set number, unlike the large Technic polybags we had before. Here's the studio file too: Demolition.io P.S. This is the source of the original image: -

Yes, I'm sure it's sand green and that's 44674 which is also new in sand green.- 5,507 replies

Reverse engineered the GWP. The only thing I didn't quite get right is the head. Maybe someone has an idea how it's built with the ball joint and studs on the sides. Studio file: 40693.io

The included sticker sheet, for anyone wondering... ...and the paper based bags galore for the Enthuggers ;)

General Part Discussion

Have we had sand green Technic parts besides axles and connectors in botanical sets before? At least the 1x9 and 2x4 beams are new. Could this be the color of the G500? Or rather a color for 2025?- 5,507 replies

Thanks for the images. You don't need to disassemble the expensive LEGO servo motors since others have done it before you. Notice how the LEGO one has 14 individual segments on the outer contact ring, 3 on the inner and 9 pins, whereas CaDA servo has 2 continuous rings and only 3 pins for the position encoder. It seems it is fully proportional too, but since it uses different electronics/encoder, it will not be compatible with LEGO, hence the weird behavior you describe with different motors.

Are we sure the set will be an X-wing vs TIE and not just this X-Wing TIE from the trailer? Also Ewok Bounty Hunters in Y-Wing in attack formation?! One thing that is confusing now: Will Jedi Bob have a yellow or flesh colored head? Trailer says yellow, poster flesh... -

Looks bigger than expected. Or is this just a recolored UCS version? -
42182 NASA Apollo Lunar Rover
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ok, I'm done with the chassis, so I'll post the Studio file: 42182.io Don't nail me on the system built center console. There's some hidden SNOT building going on there. And yes, the set uses the newer Audi steering wheel hubs. What is also pretty ingenious is the use of ball joint socket for the swing-arm because the top is just resting on the roller so it wouldn't be stable enough without that. -

I see no easy way to motorize this tram. Maybe if the whole middle car was filled with battery box, but the axle distance is wider than a train motor.
