Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
R0Sch replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
https://jaysbrickblog.com/news/ultra-exclusive-castle-lego-set-design-seminar-2024/ There is a QR code for the digital building instruction. The only exclusive new parts are the two torsos and the sign. I'm gonna rebuild it in Studio and post the file here later today. -

I know, but without the second support the engine wouldn't float in the air... unless the leg is really included. Can't see that from the one image. -

That skid-steer loader will come in paper (based) packaging, not a polybag. At least it still has some nice artwork. Hopefully not in the same shitty quality as the Blue Ocean paper bag prints. -

Some interesting parts & colors since I last posted a list here. For instance, the liftarms joints are not color locked to lbg+dbg any more and had been recolored to red+dark red to match the dragon. And we have green and pink knob gears too thanks to the botanical sets. Makes me wonder why axles and pins can't be made to match the sets color scheme too?- 5,507 replies

You probably mean the 9.5L shock absorbers, because 9L is the new fancy type used in the 1:8 hypercars. To answer your question, yes, the CaDA shocks are just as hard if not a bit harder than the extra hard shocks from 9398. I also bought 4 pcs. because they are way cheaper than used LEGO ones. And because I'm an engineer, here is a scientific overview I made by measuring the force on a kitchen scale just before reaching end-stop, which is about 15mm of spring travel. Luckily I have all 4 types from LEGO to compare them against CaDA. :D

@JunkstyleGio You're welcome! Check back in a week or so, and the new tires and mudguards should be available on ldraw.org too. 84772 is already available. -
Did anyone buy the RX-7 and fit the Goodyear tires on the rims? Do they have enough clearance for turning and suspension travel? P.S. There are a couple of new sets on their website including this 1:10 SC63 Lambo that reuses the AMG One air scoup: https://decadastore.com/products/cada-1-10-phantom-wing

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
R0Sch replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think the pterodactyl costume is sand blue with dark blue accents. The Astronomer kid seems to have a prosthetic hand. Cat Lover is supposed to be transgender, hence the sweatshirt color, male hair piece and female appearance. Only 2 new animals is disappointing. The Wolfpack Beastmaster is the only thing interesting in this series, which is a shame. -
Set looks mediocre at best. More side-builds than building. What happened to halfway decent depth WV buildings?

I don't know what went wrong in the pricing department but all I see is 30% price increase in every size category. 13 bucks for 100 pieces is a new low... that's a few pieces more than in a 4$ polybag! Monster Jam used to be 20$ but they already jacked up the prices this year with the Mercedes F1 and Neom pullbacks all while making record profits for 5 years in a row. -

Looks like they can keep the proportions right at 1:1 scale and still use blue pins. ;) Hoping it will just end up as a VIP reward for a couple of points after they realize that nobody is willing to pay full price for such a weak GWP. -

You dared to disassemble a display only set? What were you thinking? You are supposed to keep it on the shelf and let it collect dust. Nothing more. ;)- 5,507 replies

The one from the LEGO Technic magazine issue Nr.2. Btw. the included 7L beam is also not red, but reddish orange, which is pretty cool. Also here is the name of the Model Designer of this helicopter. She's from Cyprus and used to design construction toys for Engino before. I'm curious if she also designed any of the 2024 retail Technic sets or just this small paper bag and 31149. Here's a clearer instruction sheet of the model: 412402_LEGO-Technic.pdf Issue Nr. 3 will come out October 25th, at least here in Germany. Looks pretty good for it's size. Will probably have the set nr. 412403. -
Ok, now I have to get the RX-7 after all. The product pics didn't show how awesome it was in reality. Thanks for the review @thekoRngear. The Space Shuttle is a good deal if those are all printed parts you can see. Too bad it comes with a tensegrity stand, because you can only display it like this. But what happened with the pricing of those 200 piece-ish small NASA display models? Almost surpassing LEGO ppp. https://decadastore.com/products/cada-nasa-space-set-c56041w-c56046w

Now that's a really creative, out-of-the-box thinking alternative model! Love the little foldable chairs, grill and ATV too! The pneumatic function integrated so well and the truck is instantly recognizable, even though you had just limited parts. P.S. Thanks for the shout-out!
