English warship "Revenge" from 1577 in minifigscale 1:50
Bob De Quatre replied to maydayartist's topic in Pirate MOCs
That's an amazing ship! So many details, and so many ropes and sails... I'd like to learn more on the techniques you used. -
Very nice submarine It just lacks some flick-fire torpedoes
-
Awesome build, with so much details! I love the deadly pie of death

Conwy Castle(built by my little brother)
Bob De Quatre replied to soccerkid6's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The stable is larger than the great hall But again your brother did an incredible build for his age. I didn't know that talent is genetically transmitted -
I'll just throw my two cents and tell you how I feel about this... I really love what you did. I like ancient civilizations and mythologies and your ideas are great. But I think that on CUUSOO you'll need to focus on only one civ... This thread is awesome, but there is too much sets, too much posts, too much renders... people might be lost with all the (great) thing you post. Focusing on one or two civilization is, I think, the best choice. And I think that the roman empire and/or egyptians is the only choice: - spartans => issues with copyrights on movies like 300, - athenians => probably the same as above - vikings and nordic mythology => conflict with Thor franchise - baylonians, nubians, persians, celts and carthagens => "kids" don't know theses cultures, altough it might be a good opportunity to "educate" them Lego has already released some roman and egyptian themes, so I think there won't be any problems.

Happy birthday And it's reallt great! I'd like to have one sitting on my desk Is the round plate with the alliance crest a custom part? I don't remember seeing this before (but I might be wrong, again...)

Thanks. Those were made to go along with my Zenith cruiser, in the same scale. That's why I won't be using the defender class. I really like the Hammerhead myself (just look at the Zenith^^), maybe I'll try to micro-build one

I really love how the vegetation is mixed with the stones.

SoNE Contest Episode II: Escaping from the wreckage
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Yeah... but I discussed it with myself for almost 10 minutes... an interesting debate... You used the shapes of the baseplate as a part of your entry, that's what made me decide that only a flat baseplate could be used "freely". -
SoNE Contest Episode II: Escaping from the wreckage
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
The rules allow you to use one baseplate that isn't part of the initial bricks and doesn't count in the 20 additional bricks. That baseplate must be a flat baseplate. If you use any other baseplate, you must count it in the 20 additional bricks. Rules are updated -
Nice entry Narbilu Building "nice and clean" may be hard, but it's one of the challenges of this contest. You still have 16 additional parts to use, so choose them well

[SoNE Free Build] RZ-2x Experimental Interceptor
Bob De Quatre replied to LegoFjotten's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
So... for the fligh assist you just put the astromech inside the engine? Nice build, I like it -
Hi, I've used Brickficiency for some project, and it works well in most cases. I think it would be nice to have a way to select stores by regions, instead of giving a list of country. For exemple, I only buy from european stores, and its hard to get the exact country list. Also I coudn't get my WL by typing it's number, I always have to input it's name. For my latest project, I've run Brickficiency a few times. As the WL contains some rare parts (one is only available in 1 store in the world at the moment) and some inexistant parts (wrong color/part combinaison), Brickficiency didn't gave me any vendor solution. I'm a web developer, so seeing what info you managed to get from bricklink, I've build my own application. And I must say that bricklink is quite tricky to work with, and as you said, we don't want to query too much pages.

[LDD MOC]Zenith - Old Republic escort cruiser
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks Well there is a lot of space inside where I could throw minifigs in After a lot of color changes, parts swap and structure redesign, I've come to a model whoch is buildable and buyable. It will cost a lot more than what's reasonable for me, but I'll still try to built it. Here are the costs for the Zenith itself (without fees and shipment costs): And here the costs for the stand (cause it needed a stand ):- 88 replies

10221 SSD Super Star Destroyer on sale - worth it, investment?
Bob De Quatre replied to Darth Dino's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's a good deal. But... I don't like the model, it has too much flaws and innaccurate sizes and shapes... -
SoNE Contest Episode II: Escaping from the wreckage
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
The only parts that do not count in the 20 additional bricks are: - Obviously the parts of the 3(4) sets - Your sigfig and the sigfig of the other contestants (any other minifig count as 1 additional brick!) - One baseplate -
SoNE Contest Episode II: Escaping from the wreckage
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Since the colors are very close, and to please the old castle builders, this will be an exception. You can use Grey / Dark Grey bricks in place of Bluish Light Grey / Bluish Dark Grey. But no other color change are allowed. -
Just saw a rebel transport on flickr today and wondered how yours was going... it seems to be going well Again, great work Cavegod
