  1. Thanks Leonardomeo I've started building the frame, and I've strengthened it and I'm pretty satisfied with it. The front have been completely remodeled as it was obviously not strong enough. I think I'll release the updated lxf file once I've built it, or once I realize I can't afford it.
  2. Thanks So I'll need to buy 5000 bricks in order to build the Zenith... With an average cost of 0,10€ per piece, the final cost is nearly 500€. I've created a spreadsheet to help me source the parts on bricklink and started collecting prices from some shops (well only one for now). If I can't lower the price below 300€, I won't built it
  3. Awesome mix of so many cool things
  4. Thanks guys My SSD is large with its 200 studs long, but the Zenith isn't far away with 160 studs! And it's not just a pile of plates
  5. Wish I could have gone to school in a ship like this
  6. Looks very good. The light blue part on the shoulder seems a bit off, and maybe you should give the minautor somes bull's horns
  7. Was going to buy the calendar this year for the first time... But seeing the sets, I think I'll pass
  8. Thanks guys You know, you take one brick, then you attach it to another brick, and so on I'd like too...
  9. Alas the cave god didn't answer my prayers... So I decided to check if I could buils the Zenith myself. I've started building the blue frame, and discovered some flaws easily corrected. The placement and attachement of the rearmost feet are tricky, and I seriously doubt it will hold the nearly 8kg of bricks with enough stability. Meanwhile I've been checking bricklink, and there are some expensive parts, mostly arches and slopes, and mostly dark red... I need to check the parts I already own, to estimate the cost of the project. And it's evident that I'll have to use most of the parts of my SSD, meaning I will never be finished (but anyway it was too big to display ).
  10. Clever use of the monitor The lighting in the third picture is great. The architecture is instantly recognizable. Nice entry (for an imperial)
  11. Only 3 days left to post your entry! Hurry up all of you great rebel MOCers! (No need to rush imperials, take your time...) Your entry is also considered as a "regular" MOC. Posting it in the Star Wars forum would be considered as a multi-post I think.
  12. I guess I expected too much
  13. Again an awesome UCS Anio Are the controls connected to the flaps at the rear?
  14. Added feets, did some minor design modifications, and changed some parts/color combination according to bricklink availability... Zenith escort cruiser by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr
  15. I think that you have until it's still saturday somewhere in the world. So in Germany you have until sunday 12AM I think
  16. Saw that on Flickr when I woke up. And that's a nice way to start the day Those giant bricks are awesome. I bet children have plenty of fun with them...
  17. I just got home after buying a large box full of Lego for 30€. Mostly bionicle, some star wars... just noticed the large black bionicle mask from that set: Today's loot by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr
  18. It looks very good
  19. A defender-class of the same scale should be 19 studs long I tried to build one, but it was too difficult... midi_defender by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr
  20. Thanks TWP But I didn't want to build a Thranta-class! I started by building the red sides, then the blue area (that defined the width of the ship), then I gave shapes to the green and yellow areas and at that point I needed a front for the ship, and tought the Thranta head could looks good, but at first it seemed hard to reproduce... but I tried, and the head is in fact both the last area I designed and the first finished. The dementor legs stands for anchor arms, to "grab" big ships docked to the Zenith
  21. Thanks Dapper-D2 I really hope so too... There is an underground deity that might use his godly bricks to acheive that goal
  22. LDD is quite a challenge by itself sometimes, especially with large models. Fortunately the Zenith is a small one I didn't tried LDraw, so I can't compare, but people seems very pleased with it... I should try it. Thanks guys. The ship is 160 studs long and almost 50 large. I don't remember the name of the server as I didn't played for the last two weeks
  23. That's some old school instructions Maybe you could build your defender in Lego Digital Designer and share the file
  24. Thanks all for the kind comments @Chills: There are 7008 bricks, plus 23 for the small shuttle @Brickdoctor: The inspiration is not from the Hammerhead-class, but more from the Thranta-class. I started building that ship 4 weeks ago when I started playing SWTOR
