  1. This would be quite an undertaking. Best of luck! If you go through with it are you going to design it on LDD first or just start buying pieces and giving it a go? The Executor is my all-time favorite Star Wars ship, so I love seeing these MOCs. Post lots of pics of your progress!
  2. Looks awesome, nice work. I wish I could have attended that show, I read Dr. W's write up and saw the pics of your two AT-ATs next to each other; fantastic!
  3. Wow, that's quite a haul for your husband. Lucky man to have a wife like you!
  4. I'd get a UCS Slave 1. This really has potential to be a great set. I'm hoping for a lot of interior detail; and being mini-figure scale like the UCS Falcon would be awesome.
  5. LOL, nah but it will be hard to top your Zenith ship. I dig this MOC, nice use of color and cool design. Personally, though, I would put the fins on the back to give the ship a sleeker look.
  6. When it comes to negative reviews you'll see them for various sets. I remember seeing quite a few for the Home One set, but I really like it; enjoyable build, cool minifigures, and good playability. Plus its a cool looking set, so I don't know why so many people gave it a negative review. Same with the B-Wing. I love the ship from the movies, so getting the UCS set at 50% off was a no-brainer. I'm very happy with the set and while there are a couple of things I think could be better (cockpit design) overall it's a great set. So take the reviews with a grain of salt.
  7. That's quite a haul. Nice find. Did you get the minifigures to go with the sets?
  8. Very cool, thanks. I was just curious as I do not have 10019 but I do have 10198. I really like what you've done with the ship, great features inside.
  9. That's an awesome MOC/Mod. Did you soley use pieces from just those two sets?
  10. Grabbed a brand new Rancor Pit without the minifigures for $9.50 off eBay. Spent yesterday morning combining it with my other Rancor Pit so that it now fits much better under Jabba's palace and the gate can open and close.
  11. Best of luck to get the price down where you want it. If you do build it be sure to post pics of the construction.
  12. Woot! Thanks you, sir.
  13. Hey Brickdoctor, mind if I get one of those SW tags?
  14. I wrote them as well and TLG gave me a definitive answer, no, series 4 planets will not be available in the US. Time to order them in Spain and have my BIL ship them to me.
  15. LOL, too cool. How did you decide what to use all of the spaces for? Did you plan it out ahead of time or just start building and see where it went?
  16. Sweet! Thanks for the closeups, this is one amazing MOC. Clever use of the Kamino planet. Love the lighting effects, it makes the scenes so much more realistic.
  17. I'm definitely an OT guy, love those movies. I even love the fact you can see the darker squares around the models that Artanis was ripping on. I love the look of the models, and the story is fantastic. I watched the PT many times, and each time I like it less and less. It's missing so much, like the deep friendship between Anakin and Obi-wan that was supposed to be there. Lucas never develops this. And the love between Padme and Anakin feels so artificial, there's no spark like between Han and Leia. And the whole convoluted scheme to build up and army and pitch the galaxy into war, it leaves so many questions unanswered and could have made more sense. We also should have seen Alderaan, and built up a relationship with the planet so we cared about it when Tarkin destroys it. That being said not all of the PT is rubbish. The expansion of the ideas of the Force was great, especially the monk-like lives of the Jedi, the Sith/apprentice relationship, the use of clones vs. droids for a war, and the use of aliens from the OT throughout the scenes. I am an optimist and I have high hopes for the Sequel Trilogy. I just hope JJ tones down the lens flares.
  18. If you look at the most popular vehicles in the SW universe the AT-AT is right near the top, especially for Imperial vehicles. While the sandcrawler is cool looking, it doesn't have the fanbase of the walker. I think that even though Cuusoo rejected the UCS Sandcrawler a UCS AT-AT is a very real possibility. If you look at the UCS sets that have been made you'll see that the majority of them had system-scale counterparts, and multiple versions of each. We've seen a few versions of the AT-AT but only one of the Sandcrawler. I think the case for a UCS AT-AT is pretty strong.
  19. Me too, which is why I'm holding off on buying 7166 on eBay until next year.
  20. yes, more close ups please.Looks like a very impressive MOC.
  21. Nice MOC, Anio. Clever use of wheels/tires on the handlebars. That gives them the rubbery grippy looks a bike should have. Also really nice work on the engine and forward planes.
  22. I'm glad I saw this thread, it just saved me a 45 minute drive to the local Lego Store to grab the Ewok Village and use the coupon. I must mirror the other sentiments on this thread: TLG, you kinda suck for restricting the coupon like this. I'll be sending an email to TLG this morning.
  23. Naperville, IL, USA
  24. Yep, another system-scale Imperial Shuttle has been talked about and requested. A few of us are crossing our fingers for one in the 2nd half of 2014
