  1. Thanks for posting this; it makes me want that set even more. I like his mention that each of the trees is different, so there's no repetitious building.
  2. Very cool MOC. Great detail and I like the way you made all of the plants, it really has a swampy feel. Hey, has anyone else noticed that when Vader appears to Luke in the cave the edge of the entrace is sharp and flat like the edge of a doorway?
  3. I am not impressed. The hood and the roof of the passenger compartment look horrible. I'm a fan of the movies and was really looking forward to seeing this set come out, but TLG could have really done better with this set.
  4. I avoid TRU unless they have one of those fantastic sales. I'll wait until I can order the sets from TLG and get some more VIP points. 19 days and a wake-up!
  5. 3 weeks and 2 days until the summer sets are available in the US. Tick tock tick tock tick tock.
  6. Hey legofreak, that's a great idea about a Final Duel set taking place in the throne room. I've got the Death Star but I would definitely buy a set like that. I just saw a page with 1,138 behind the scenes photos of the OT, truely fantastis pictures, and I realized we need a great cantina set, with lots of aliens!
  7. Yep, I have that set as well. Honestly, it is one of my least favorite sets. To me it has a very unfinished feel to it. However, I really like the minifigures, which is the main reason I bought it. Oh, and thanks for reminding me to dust off my UCS sets... they are the only one outisde of glass that I have to dust regularly.
  8. Finally got the Tantive IV 10198 off of eBay. A collector was selling it for some reason, only displayed. Complete with minifigures and instructions (no box, but no biggie). Got it for a decent amount under what BL has used/complete ones for. Can't wait to build it!
  9. Very cool list, Legofreak. I would love to see a new Cloud City (missed the first one in my Dark Ages). I really like your shuttle idea, too. I don't have one of those in my collection (again, Dark Ages and I didn't really want the UCS one). I'd also like to see a Twin-pod cloud car and an Ion Cannon set. I'm a big ESB fan.
  10. LOL, very cool MOC. What other SW characters are you thinking about? How about a Lady TIE Pilot, or Lady AT-AT driver?
  11. Awesome! I love all of the detail, especially on the engines. Question: how did you do the very front of the engines? It looks like red 1x2 plates with a rubberband around them. The effect is fantastic.
  12. +1 a free 10030 is pretty awesome. That's quite a gift from your friend. Welcome to the board!
  13. What an awesome friend! I recently found all of my old LEGO at my parent's house and rebuild my yellow castle. Talk about reliving some great childhood memories.
  14. Yeah, that is a fantastic deal! I'm jealous you've got Cloud City, that's a rare and expensive set. Where did you find this Canadian seller?
  15. That is just amazing, simply fantastic. I love how detailed it is, how it really feels like the floor of a factory. The command room has a very Kamino-esque feel to it, too. I dig the actual floor, too, how the creator used Aurebesh writing. I also dig Chewbaca sweeping up with a broom.
  16. Ahhhh, you're right. That section definitely looks tan in the picture. Keep up the good work!
  17. I've already collected all of the older sets I missed out on while in my Dark Ages, and I already know what sets I want to buy when they come out; so watching the movies doesn't motivate me to buy anything new. But the movies do inspire me to try my hand at a MOC; or I'll open and build a set that's been sitting in my closet waiting for the right time.
  18. Congratulations, Brickdoctor.
  19. Amazing MOC! I can't imagine how long it took to greeble the whole thing, but it was time well spent. The overall effect is exactly what the actual ship looks like. Your use of color on the forward lower hull is interesting, what made you decide to deviate from the normal greys?
  20. What parts did you have to change out? How long did it take you to BL all the pieces? Best of luck to you, I'll be keeping an eye out for updates.
  21. Brickdoctor echoes my own thoughts. I'm an OT fan, and usually steer clear of PT sets. However this set looks fantastic! I don't have a version of the RGS yet, so I'm definitely getting this one when it comes out. I'm digging the minifigures, I especially like the Padme. Great review, exxxtrooper. It just makes me more impatient for August 1st!
  22. I keep checking Lego's site to see if they'll surprise us and put the new sets up for sale in the US early.
  23. This is the first time I've seen this thread, VERY COOL! I wonder with the new gunship coming out will we see new nose art for that set? I'm diggin' the green Twi-lek version.
  24. Nice work, and good attention to detail. May I suggest that you flip the grey half-pyramid on the nose around? The Hasbro version has the slope on the top.
  25. Best of luck to you. I was in my dark ages when that set came out and I would love to own one.
