[MOC] Koenigsegg One:1
Pvdb replied to Pvdb's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I am not really considering any changes but have absolutely no problem with others making modifications to suit their taste and choices and inventory, and would in fact be interested to see any significant mods that can improve the model further.- 229 replies

2 x Small White 1 x Blue - this is the one Blakbird used. I used one of the older style black bands. Fortunately white connector #4 (32192) is back in production and released in a set this year so hopefully should become less rare again.- 229 replies

You Can Get round the black 7l axle by adding a straight connector and shorter black axle. As for the black bushes just 2 are really needed. The 2 14l white flex axles could possibly be subbed with 12l plus white pin connector to give the extra length. As for the orange half beams in the seats they can also be subbed as I am sure upholstery is a matter of choice☺ That just leaves those two 3l white ribbed hoses. I suggest cut them down to size as they are the rarest part I think, although not that expensive.- 229 replies

Until everything is published, here is a link to the partlist i.e. the .bsx file in the linked folder. http://www.bricksafe.com/pages/PvdB/mocs/koenigsegg-one1 Maybe one day it will be possible to build the Blue/Black/White version of the One:1. We need a few more blue panels and flexible axles before that happens though.- 229 replies

42056 - Porsche Speculation
Pvdb replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I hope that you didnt have to buy too many no 9 or 11 liftarms!! I think it is different enough but Lego did have the ability to create a new part to help out!! I have had time to look at it a few times now, the bodywork is really nice in my opinion and looks great in orange. -

I am interested to understand the functionality of the drive selector. It seems to be a bit of a strange idea to combine that with a sequential paddlshift. For example. It seems that you would be able to shift straight from 3rd gear forward to 3rd gear reverse or whichever gear is selected at the time unless there is some clever mechanism which blocks any change unless you are in first gear. Other than that the shaping is great. I like the colour and the packaging. The brakes could be better and also if being picky I don't like the design at the base corners of the windscreen -

Just waiting for the instructions to be put up on MocPlans it was all submitted last week. Then rebrickable will finalise and publish. In the meantime I will see if I can sort out a temporary link to the parts list.- 229 replies

You will also be pleased to know that Blakbird has done a nice job on the instructions. Just done the final QA and very very soon they will be available.- 229 replies

Too be honest, I am just building Madoca's Icarus - well actually helping my 7 year old son to build it. He wanted the PF in it, I explained that I don't have the required parts and went ahead and modified the internals to exclude the PF. Just building the chassis and the bodywork is an interesting experience as the building style is very different to mine. As for PF. I really really don't like models that use 1 motor for various functions via a gearbox. Take the recent Heavy Lift Helicopter where you actually have to turn off the rotor blades to close one of the cargo doors. I know Lego must do this due to cost, but I still don’t like it.

I see also that this one has a technic frame, axles and engine parts, if you want to further your justification for adding it to this part of the forum :classic: -

That's an impressive amount done in a day. It is nice to see some of the inner details of these sets as you build and post each day. -
I don't mind Motorised if it's done well. Some of Sheepo's past models were pretty amazing in terms of density of functions. And more recently we have a few examples like the Icarus where decent performance has been obtained. In general though I would usually build super cars with no pf as I think it makes them more fun to play with and more interesting.

Good luck on this. I have to say that I also enjoy doing exactly this with my favourite MOCs, i.e. rebuild/upgrade. Have fun and I look forward to end result. I always liked this one of yours. -

Stunning model Brunojj1. I really love the straight on top, front, and rear pictures that you posted. Given that no instructions are allowed the images at least should allow some ideas about how to replicate some of the bodywork ideas. -

Finally, the CAD is done, well at least the Draft pre checks version. It has been an epic job especially with all of the curves and angles.- 229 replies
