    Kingdoms II ... new sets ... I don't really know. But I have observed that some prices are going down for the castle sets (here in the lego store Cologne). E.g. you can get the "black" battle pack with a 20% discount. That means: This is the start of the end of that line, right?

    Ok, I did my own Gondor soldier (I need to take pictures, probably) but I stayed away from creating decals.

    Well also for playability the open rear side is key. Most of my recent MOCs are open at one side (despite being modular). Back to my question whether we can find out which set was a success - I think a look into the financial report might reveal how well they have done with LoTR in general, it won't give details. Does anybody know an insider?

    I got my lego calendar yesterday! (the christmas present) It has the new pirate ship as picture for July (and there is a monkey on the bottom of the page)!

    A complete monster series? I tend to doubt it. They usually combine the series like things you need for a wedding, e.g. something old, something new, some fighter, some minifig for girls, something blue, a monster, some nonsense fig, etc.

    We've got the snake charmer now. Still some confusion whether we've picked the king, the goblin or the sword-fightress... but luckily I found a few kings.
