  1. Really nice work on these. They're so different from each other but feel like they're in the same universe. Like a Dodge and a Ford.
  2. MMV is one of the all time greats. MVR is also very nice and both look great together. The 2013 stuff is pretty universally considered to be a disappointment. I don't personally understand having a bunch of boxed stuff unless you're looking to sell it once it's retired, but I don't think any of those sets will see the prices that the other two have.
  3. Wowiee! This thing is spectacular. An amazing feat of MOCing. Thanks for sharing!
  4. This is probably going to begin a mini dark ages for me, at least as far as retail goes. I may pick up an occasional CMF, but after the last of the middle earth sets and no castle on the horizon, there's just nothing left that I'm interested in.
  5. That would be amazing!
  6. Those are all really nice. It's kind of amazing how much likeness and detail they've got at that scale. I would personally still prefer 10-stud wide scale, but I can't hate these.
  7. It took me a while to warm up to Top Gear UK, but once I got over his politics, I found Clarkson to be quite funny. I almost never agree with him on any subject, but he's entertaining and I love the show. What does this even mean? All types of cars have a fan base here, and I can't think of a car that "coughs up dark smoke and smells like gas". Diesel trucks make dark smoke, but that's a tiny sliver of automobile enthusiasts. The only smoke my classic mustang spits is tire smoke, and my leaf has zero emissions.
  8. I like it. Nice extension that fits the classic look.
  9. I hear ya, but that's quite a bit more customizing than most are willing/able to do.
  10. Needs hair to be Dernheln though.
  11. This series is even better than I had hoped! The Hun looks great with his fur cape. The real standout for me is the princess. I was hoping there would be good detail in the hair and back of the hat, but the frog-kissing face seals the deal. Thanks WhiteFang!
  12. Finally got kingdoms joust in and finished building. Man, I don't think it's possible to exaggerate the greatness of this set. So many nice details and an interesting build process. One of the all-time greats. There's a really nice old review for it here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73353&hl=%2Bkingdoms+%2Bjoust
  13. No, but we've already whined about it and it isn't going to change, so what to do about it but buy less/none?
  14. While I would prefer official parts (mostly thinking helmets/shields), I would definitely buy at least 20 from an aftermarket source if they were available.
  15. Hmm, maybe the second half of the year will lead to a highway speedster-type car. The red one that just came out isn't bad, but we could always use more like that.
  16. UrukHai Army was as close to a battle back as any of us would need for any of the missing/underrepresented factions. We can all go back and forth over the speculative minutia of license terms. None of it is a good excuse.
  17. This sounds pretty great. My only concern is that they may be just a bit too small. I'd happily pay 25-50% more if they were the same scale as the Creator highway speedster.
  18. Dammit. I grow weary of disappointment.
  19. This does a little to help ease the pain of LOTR fail for me, if for no other reason, there's room in unlicensed castle for elves and the CMF elf is fantastic. Not the same as LOTR done right, but cool in a different way.
  20. That sounds great! It could surely go a long way to make up for castle 2013 and the lackluster later middle earth waves.
  21. Holy crap!
  22. I ordered Kingdoms Joust 10223. Should be here by Friday. Can't wait to finally add this one to the collection.
  23. That's great for you, but my Lego tastes are more finely focused. I'm as big a Star Wars can as you'll ever find, but that stops at a sizable Hasbro collection. I'm just not compelled to do Lego SW. I need castles, knights, wizards and monsters. :-)
  24. Wow, weird feeling for me. With LOTR ending, mostly lackluster final hobbit wave and no sign of any castle on the horizon, I'm suddenly stuck with no Lego to buy for the foreseeable future. I guess I'll focus on buying used bricks and building my own stuff. Way to drop the ball, TLG.
  25. I'd be all for that. The CMF elf is fantastic. More variation on that one as it's own faction would be great. For that matter, I'd take a red boar evil knight faction and evil dragon dwarves. I guess the one left would be updated crownies based on the heroic knight, which I doubt anyone would have a problem with. Though I would prefer something new for that one.
