Nice looking army! My one complaint: that’s just too many left handed soldiers. They tended to force right handedness back in the day.

I think the benefits outweigh the potential downsides.

Great idea for a thread! This'll be handy.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
SirBlake replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think it’s good that we have such a nice option available (the BAM wizard), but it’s a pain in the rear that it’s a Lego store exclusive. I would rather see it appear at regular retail like as a CMF.- 2,976 replies

How many kingdoms were there in the Castle theme?
SirBlake replied to hikouki's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
If you read the instructions on the new castle, the Black Falcons are a friendly visiting faction and the Forest folk are up to some mischief. Historically, there are few hard and fast rules to it and some contradictory info. This recent thread is about as comprehensive as you’ll find as far as this stuff goes: In the end, it’s my opinion that you create your own canon and have fun with it. It’s your world to build, literally and figuratively. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 23. Rumors and discussion

For those finding these at retail, what store and where in the world? -

Minifigures Series 24 - The Guessing Game is Back!

The only green cheerleader I’m aware of is a zombie. Zombie football player sounds fun! Lol -
Minifigures Series 24 - The Guessing Game is Back!
SirBlake replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
To be fair, haven't they done two cheerleaders from different teams? (Blue and Red) Maybe we're due for the football player with a red uniform. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
SirBlake replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If I’m honest with myself, I’ll probably do the same if there are any minifigs that are absolute must-haves, but I’m not happy admitting that. I would rather we all stand in solidarity and we boycott the boxes altogether. But, the point is moot if TLG wises up and puts some sort of code on the boxes so we can tell what’s inside. That’s a hoop I don’t mind jumping through. -
[MOC] Willow - Movie vignettes - Chapter I
SirBlake replied to MontyMatte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
These are fun! Willow was an equally fun movie, and it warms the heart to see someone doing MOCs around this theme. I am now a supporter of your Ideas project. Good luck! -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
SirBlake replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That is my understanding as well. I’m interested to see how big of a failure the boxes will be. I know it will be the end of CMF for me at retail. I refuse to support this terrible idea. -
[MOC] "Adventurers of Bryckland" MOC series
SirBlake replied to Bryckland's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
These are great! All of the bases are nice, and I particularly like that port. -
Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
SirBlake replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks! Yes, arms on the CMF torso are sand blue, and I matched the legs with that too. It's kind of unusual for a knight, but so is a pink plume, lol. I think the sand blue actually works pretty well. -
Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
SirBlake replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I posted this in the S23 CMF thread too, but figured the Historic Forum folks would appreciate it too.... I found S23 at my local Kohl's here in Fort Worth. Got a couple of knights, and I'm happy to report that if you've got the spare legs, torsos and helmets, its easy to turn one minifig into two, with it's printed torso for guards and armor for knights. The fact that they come with two swords is a nice bonus too. I happened to have lots of spare legs that match the arms, and I think it makes for a nice look. -

The Scout torso is pretty cool, but the rest of it is VERY boring.

Minifigures Series 24 - The Guessing Game is Back!
SirBlake replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Glad the guessing game is back! Here are my guesses. Most of these are not gender specific, so take your pick. 1. Lion Knight Archer 2. Sports Referee (black and white stripes, short sleeves) 3. Kung Fu fighter 4. Pirate Child 6. SCUBA Diver 7. Space Cadet (Classic Space casual outfit, not space suit) 8. Snow Skier 9. Squirrel Suit Skydiver (with new outstretched webbed arms) 10. Statue (Napoleonic era style) 11. Detective (business clothes with police badge) 12. Renaissance Painter -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Those are fun ideas, but on the heels of a costume themed series, I’d rather see a regular non-themed series. -

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
SirBlake replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Oh yeah, I'm open to that sort of thing, that'd be great. But if I head into 2023 expecting something like that (or the battle pack I would love to see) and it doesn't happen, it'll just lead to disappointment.- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
SirBlake replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I get that, but I've been hopeful before, and it hurts when those hopes are dashed. As the saying goes, "hope for the best, expect the worst". That is a good point. I wonder when 31120 is going to be retired? While it would be great, I expect they're not going to be throwing any more castle at us via Creator until that one is no longer on shelves.- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
SirBlake replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
In the spirit of cautious optimism that keeps me from rage quitting the hobby, I don't think we should expect any castle at all in the next calendar year. The three retail-available castle sets from the last couple of years are not yet retired, and I expect that TLG will hang back and let those sets do their work. Anything in the next calendar year that qualifies as castle will just be a bonus, but I'm not expecting anything.- 2,976 replies
