    Yeah, the grey conical helmets are not a great match with the rest of the fig. I skipped them and set mine up with dark pearl grey kettle helmets to go with the DPG conicals I outfitted my BFs with. Looks better than plain grey or the silver.

    I hear you, but for me (a graphic designer) that notion is offset by the generally cleaner design of the new parts. That makes sense, as design language has come a long way in 40 years.

    I guess. From my perspective all they’re doing with this set is offering something I (and many like me) has been shouting about for 10 years, then hiding it behind a pricy pay wall mechanic. In other words, I think demand or “hype” would be pretty much the same if this were a regular release, there just wouldn’t be as much pain and (justified) complaining about how to acquire it.

    I believe that to be an unanswerable question. I think it's reasonable to say that stock will likely vary, and that the initial availability in store will range wildly as soon as sales start. Most will likely sell out very early, and then restocking will further complicate the timetable. Your best bet is to get friendly with your local store and structure your schedule around theirs, lol.

    Good to know, thanks. I opened the first 3 I got, so I’ve got the bricks to build that. I generally don’t keep things packaged, this 4th one was just to qualify for the GWP.

    That’s certainly how it worked for me. Picked up the new farm set for the animals, and a 4th creator castle. Not sure what I’m going to do with that one. Break into it for parts and two more black falcons or sell it after they retire it. Maybe recoup some of that money.

    And that right there is why I got this GWP in June. I wasn’t going to count on it still being around when the castle became available.

    I can accept that, but may I ask, what makes you so certain of this? Previous experience? Inside info? Just pessimistic? (FWIW, pessimism is a perfectly legit reason, lol)

    Understanding that I have no idea how GWP usually works, I’m guessing the forestmen set will come back later this week. That might just be hopeless optimism on my part.

    Sounds good to me. Fingers crossed we get good companion figs for the 90th space/castle sets. Or does that idea make too much sense?

    Absolutely! I figured if this was a fun thought exercise for me, you folks would like it too. Ah, yes! That would be a huge win.

    Yeah, you’re not alone. That has been much discussed a few pages back. The closest thing to a solution seems to be to put it on a different shelf.

    That’s a good point. I’ve got more than a few airline pilots and police officers that are in knight cosplay, lol.

    Interesting results on the poll so far. Surprised to see the great helm isn’t getting much support. I picked the pointed visor too. Also surprised to see the bullet and kettle helms get so much love. I personally much prefer the conical, but I do use the other two, though I’ve never loved either.

    There’s not enough new product I want to justify nursing VIP points for me. I just want this thing in my hands as soon as humanly possible.

    I get that. But if I was making a hero knight or a lineup of joust contestants, it’s fun to think about what to kit them out with. I have a small group of my best looking knights, one from each faction that I really like and had to make these decisions and it was a good time.

    Ah, yes. The lion/key shield. I was only able to get one of those, but it’s better than none.
