Very nice! You could almost work it into a comic book cover.

Best Theme: Jurassic World (granted the sets are lackluster, it did give us Dinosaurs again) Best Set: Ideas Doctor Who (finally Doctor Who!) Best Minifigure: Slave 1 Boba Fett / Dimensions Chell

Everything with an alien in those prelim pics are on my list. Wookie, Twi-Lek, Rodian, Duros all look good.

I think the QC issues are isolated to SW at this point. Disney really made all manufacturers of SW items rush to get their items out in time for Force Friday. I haven't seen as many errors with the other Lego lines

Very creative! Randolph in particular is very well-done and original.

It seems to be more common seeing threads asking about the abundance of Lego themes as a negative, only to find that the general majority of replies see it as a positive. All of the themes the OP mentions bring something new to Lego, and that I view as a positive.

I thought the trailer was really good. I think it may be confusing for casual fans (or parents) who may think Tony should be the rebellious one and Steve should be the rules guy. I also think Iron Man in the last beatdown scene looked really red, like there wasn't a lot of gold. I know it's a new suit, just looks off in that scene.

Borderlands 2. Playing a Commando, which I've never used before. It's pretty cool, somewhat like playing the Assassin.

Fantastic G1 Prime and I really like how it transforms and the opening chest. I would maybe consider making the grill in grey or silver.

So Many Lego 'Themes' - Where is TLG headed?
HawkLord replied to DrJB's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think the diversity in themes is great. Lego is the kind of product that requires little no tooling, so if they're just printing new torsos and faces and making a few new parts (some that can even be used in their primary lines), then it only helps Lego to continue the variety of themes. Personally, I love the fact that Lego includes so much diversity, because it means I will never get bored and I have more materials to MOC with. If Lego over-specialized and reduced themes they wouldn't be able to attract the large sized audience they do. -
Aside from the Stormtrooper and Phasma (though what's with the helmet), these look kinda rough.

The Hobbit movies certainly were not as good as the LOTR movies, however they aren't bad when you try not to compare the two trilogies. What I appreciate about Peter Jackson is the honesty. I had always assumed there were troubles on the set and with production, but no one was saying anything while the movies were out (for obvious reasons). Now that it's over, Jackson can say whatever he wants and I'm glad this made it to the Blu-Ray. By contrast, you have George Lucas still trying to tell us that Jar Jar Binks was a great idea, sixteen years later. Being able to critique your own work is one thing that makes for creativity and innovation.

I use tackle/craft boxes. For licensed minifigures, I have the minifigures in some compartments and the weapons/accessories in another compartment. Nearly all of these minifigures I never plan on selling, so I'm ok with them being sorted this way. For non-licensed minifigures, I also use tackle/craft boxes, but I have the compartments sorted by heads, torsos, legs, accessories, headgear, weapons, hair pieces, and food/dining parts. All of my minifigures I can research online to find their specific parts if I ever needed to part with them, but overall I like being able to use them as needed. I should also add that these boxes keep them very well protected

Looks like Halo Iron Man. Perfect timing, too. -

Kinda in the same boat. There's not a lot for me left to buy this year and with the holidays, my shopping will be elsewhere. -
Brickforge's Brick to the Future project
HawkLord replied to slopemodified's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Kickstarter is great, but research the company selling the product first. I just Kickstarted a board game this year that was supposed to ship in October, but apparently now it may not ship until closer to Christmas. Apparently the company that made the game has had issues before. -
Fred Meyers is running a small SW Lego sale - Constraction figures Cody, Jango, and Luke are $16.99 and Rey's Speeder is also $16.99.

Good find. I still need to get Raptor Rampage. It's just a shame about the usual TRU mark-up. Ebay prices are getting alittle silly.

Flare up the sides of the hair and you're own your way to making Wolverine. I do really like how the bow was done - very clever use of parts. And the nose hinge piece.

According to Brickset, I have 162 sets, with 134 being unique. Those are from my major lines - Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, LotR/Hobbit, Jurassic World, Mixels, and Simpsons. They estimate that I have approximately 56,000 bricks and 651 minifigures. Though this data does not include random sets from other lines I've bought, PaB, or CMF. I haven't bothered to add those.

Special Lego VIP Shopping Event 2015
HawkLord replied to mediumsnowman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you're talking about Washington, I've only ever been to the Southcenter location once (grand opening). Usually I shop at Bellevue or Lynwood. It'll be interesting to see if I get one; though I've spent much less on Lego this year as previous years. -
It's another sign that Lego is doing well enough that they really don't need to push promos during the holiday season. Plus, everyone seems to be holding their breath for Star Wars as that will certainly dominate wishlists this season.

Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them Film Discussion

That looks like a Harry Potter - Doctor Who crossover. And the wand looks a bit basic, I hope that changes.
