  1. I'd say it's easily the best toys-to-life game because you can actually do something with the toy part. Skylanders and Infinity are somewhat cool little statues, but that's it. They don't move and are not poseable. At least with Dimensions you can use the minifigures and sets in your collection or just build new things with those bricks on their own. That alone sells it for me, because even though I haven't played a ton, I still get mileage from the Lego.
  2. Chrome 3PO and a snowy (Hoth?) Chewie, yes please! I can actually do without another Santa style minifigure, as those were getting old. Definitely more interested in a flashy (pun intended) minifigure like shiny 3PO. Here's hoping for a TFA minifigure - maybe a Stormtrooper or arm-builder type.
  3. +1 for a Stan Lee minifigure or minifigure set. He deserves it and he's been in a number of cameos. I just hope they don't ever make him a crazy hard to get exclusive. I'd be more than happy if he was a "with $$$ purchase".
  4. Yep, so non-Lego and weird that it's creepy. Would look much better on an action figure or something detailed, but Lego is much too cartoony for this.
  5. These are perfect. They capture the look of Warhammer really well and could be used in the game if you didn't have the minis. The Chaos Dwarves are spot on.
  6. Anyone know why the Doctor Who and BttF Fun Packs are half off on Lego's site? Seems weird to put them on sale so soon.
  7. When Lego reprinted the Exo Suit it went down in price. Initially, it had dried up like the Research set, but now is pretty easy/cheap to get.
  8. I'm another fan of that City minifigure set. Wheelchair, baby, senior citizens, great selection of printing. I hope this becomes a yearly thing with Lego dropping a different multipack each year.
  9. Lego is playing the long game and it's not a bad strategy. They're in no hurry to produce anything specific, OT or otherwise, because for the foreseeable future SW is always going to sell like crazy. They can drop a couple Cloud City or Yoda's Hut (or insert other demanded sets) style sets each year from now until forever and they can pad out the rest of the line-up with whatever they want - including Adventure style sets. They're in no hurry now that the focus seems to be on the "right now" material - TFA, Rebels, and whatever direct Mickey wants them to go.
  10. Amazingly accurate. I hope lego's version is just as good. Very well done!
  11. Chewie finally ripped his arm off for winning...
  12. With no interest in the cartoon show and no interest in the large CW/PT vehicles, what's there left? Maybe TFA sets - seems like a slim year for me.
  13. There's prelim pics of the Mattel Ghostbuster reboot action figures, so I'm betting Lego has to have something mocked up by now. Where it is, that's the question.
  14. The epitome of Lego in everyday life. Really well done!
  15. That's my thought. Then Infinity War Part 1 ends with a search for Cap thing, where the Avengers realize they can bring Cap back. Maybe with the help of Doc Strange and Scarlet Witch.
  16. Great review and very nice pics. I like the addition of the Poe starfighter polybag. I agree that the set itself isn't too special and that overall this feels geared towards minifigures, but it is the cheapest way to get these characters currently. I'm sure that given the delay in the next movie it means more chances for Lego to include Finn and Kylo in future sets that may be cheaper, but I'm doubting we'll ever get Maz again for a TFA set. I would recommend anyone who wants more Stormtroopers and the Maz (and who likes forest elements) should get this.
  17. I'm really hoping that if Rey is Luke's daughter that they introduce Mara Jade and call her by that name, instead of inventing a new wife for him. I know some of TFA feels like elements of the EU, like Kylo being similar to Jacen and his look being similar to Revan, but I'm hoping Disney at least throws the EU a bone with Mara. The first time I saw TFA, I was hoping the whole walk up the mountain, that the camera would pan to Luke and Mara - that would have been a ridiculously good close.
  18. As a fan of Bob's Burgers, this looks outstanding. Really good proportions, detail, and expression. Really great job!
  19. Great build - easily recognizable as a Cyberman. Nice job!
  20. Wow, fantastic job and perfect execution. As others have mentioned, this is a great scale for it being not too large and not too small. The details really come through well. Nice job!
  21. Great review and very nice pics. For the price it looks like it might be worth getting even though I have all the minifigures minus the Ugnaught. If this came with two Ugnaughts, that would really seal the deal.
  22. Really inventive parts use, especially the Star Wars planet and the CMF bases. Very well done!
  23. The dog could use one of those single hole capes from the Hobbit line.
  24. That female armor one is really good and so true! No armor = best armor class apparently.
  25. Source? I'd never heard that when I was collecting Series 3.
