  1. D&D buildable sets were made under the Kre-O line a couple years ago, but they tanked really hard. I'm betting that has had an impact on future RPG based buildable lines. Plus, the RPG community tends to use miniatures, ether metal or plastic to illustrate their characters. I should know, I have tons of them. With that said, I don't know what role a buildable RPG line would fill.
  2. The usual suspects are still going for a decent amount. I think the vacuum of no Castle line and the lack of Castle/LOTR material in Nexo Knights really has moved prices up.
  3. I don't think shirtless Maul will be all that popular/valuable. I would open it. As polybags go, he's not quite one of the more valuable ones and unless Maul does something big in the Rebels show (or who knows maybe even the new trilogy), I doubt he's going to be that sought after.
  4. Also hoping for comic Vision, but would take an updated movie Vision. Though, given the AoU set he was in is still on the Lego site and available in stores, I would think a non-MCU version would make more sense. If there's a comic Vision, one can only then hope for a comic Scarlet Witch...
  5. Ghostbusters is a "comedy" and there were dramatic bits to push along the overall comedy. But Ghostbusters itself was not some drama of a movie. This new Ghostbusters is trying to do the same thing, but the comedy of this era is different than that of the 1980s. This movie is always going to feel different in that way.
  6. I liked the trailer and think there is a number of potential set ideas in the future, should Lego want to add more. With all the ghost-catching weapons, we could see a bear-trap or even those pistols (even if just the current pistol mold). There are tons of ghost, including that tall one, which could be made. Possessed Melissa McCarthy could be an option. I think there could easily be more than one set out of this is Lego gets creative.
  7. I think it looks good and has potential. The special effects and cinematography look clean. And it doesn't feel like it's trying to be overly serious or dramatic, which would be a misplay here - you want this to be a fun, goofy popcorn flick. I think the ghost combat scenes will be over the top, in a good way. The various ghost-catching weapons will add some variety to the staple "shoot, pull to trap, done" mechanic. There also seems to be an abundance of slime, which is good. My only worry is that too much of Chris Hemsworth's character will further exacerbate the "male vs female" thing and I hope he doesn't have that large a role. Like, I get its funny that this team is female and has a male secretary (instead of the previous male team with a female secretary), but I hope they don't drag out the joke. I think referencing the original in the beginning really points to this potentially being a sequel, which is the best move they could make.
  8. In the comics Scarlet Witch and Vision have a relationship. In the MCU, I think the scene in AoU where Vision pulls Scarlet Witch from the train wreckage after she kills Ultron (spoiler!) might be setting up their relationship.
  9. Very well done! I like that it's simplistic and clean, without being boring. There's a lot going on and the details are great. And I'm a fan of the grey and red.
  10. Having the worst price per brick count of an Ideas set hasn't been helping it. I know minifigure count helps to offset that, but none of the minifigures are all that inspired. At the current discounted price, the set is now something I might consider.
  11. That Daredevil looks great and I'd be happy with a minifigure that uses that headpiece.
  12. If the polybag is a store impulse item, I might be tempted. If it's a free-with-purchase, probably less so since I'll be getting most sets from the Lego store.
  13. With any luck maybe this polybag will have the dark red shield, instead of the pink one. That would be a good selling point.
  14. I'm surprised Jurassic World didn't fit in there to some degree. All the sets sold out for awhile after the movie blew up and only recently got back in stock. There was a time when those shelves were bare.
  15. The way it's presented seems to borrow a bit much from GW. True, orcs on boars is nothing new with fantasy, but the shields and banner have specifically GW related symbols. If those were not included, then this would be totally different, but if there's even a possibility of copyright infringement, than Lego wouldn't take the chance. They'd have to pay to license it from GW and that's if they assumed there'd be a market for it. I'm not trying to belittle the work itself, only suggesting that it move away from any version that could potentially discount it.
  16. These look very, very cool and I really like the idea of Warhammer Fantasy Lego stuff. With that said, I really don't think it will get through Ideas given that it's very close to the source material - you could almost use these Lego in place of the actual miniatures in the game. Might lead to some direct competition.
  17. The curved section is impressive and very well done. Great "in progress" pics. Might be a good idea to break up the ground a bit with some different leveling, maybe just a plate or two high.
  18. A Dumbledore update would be most welcome. Maybe with brick built Fawkes and mini-Hogwarts Express as a Level Pack?
  19. I use a combination of medium sized bins and tackle boxes. Bins for large bricks sorted by color and tackle boxes for special and/or smaller bricks sorted by color that I use often.
  20. I used to ask a lot of these questions when I would buy collectible stuff, like Star Wars, Marvel, etc. How many owners, how long each, how was it stored, smoke-free or not, it got out of hand and definitely made it less fun. I don't buy used Lego, as I'm sure my OCD would be making me ask the same stuff.
  21. These are incredible. The new headcrab is really good and the look and feel of the game is captured perfectly.
  22. Looks great! I do think blue might be a more ideal color than green.
  23. Oh, yea - that was the Smaug set from the Hobbit, right? :P
  24. As mentioned, this is late to the party. Lego blew up in 2014 and the Lego movie really helped to draw attention to Lego as an investment. The recent Star Wars craze really helped this as well, since Star Wars Lego really helped save Lego from going under. Right now, very specific things do well and it's really hard to get a winning strategy. Yep, Star Wars is a thing, but not all Star Wars is a thing. You can't just go and buy one of every Star Wars set and believe you break even in 10yrs. With Lego reinventing so much material every couple of years, Star Wars ends up getting over saturated with sets that have already been seen before. You have to look at how likely the thing Lego made is going to be reinvented in some way and how unique it is in the first place. Look at how many people bricklink a UCS Falcon. Sure it's not the real thing when it's all said and done, but it's still the same bricks or very similar.
  25. I think the DeLorean from BttF is a bit more recognizable than the Ecto-1 in that the word DeLorean is stated several times during the trilogy, while no one ever references what type of vehicle the Ecto-1 is. If they did, I don't remember it at all. The same is true with other "recognizable" cars - sure I recognize Kit or the Scooby Doo van, but I have no idea what make they are because I don't think anyone really tells the audience. Here's hoping that rumor posted above is true, because that would earn major points with the older fanbase. And maybe even make for some potential future GB Lego sets.
