    The TOS Enterprise looks good, but I'm wondering what it looks like from above. And the minifigures look pretty detailed. The TNG Enterprise looks worse. Half of it looks like SNOT and the saucer section is total studs. Weird, I bet it might look better SNOTed throughout. But that Picard looks horrible. He looks like he has no neck. And the phaser is huge.

    At exactly halfway through the year, it's hard to gauge how successful or disappointing the year has been. I can say that to date, I've spent a lot less on Lego than usual.

    I don't think the Death Star minifigures became "quickly" antiquated. Granted Lego did update some of them with white pupils, but even without that change, some didn't really see an update till a couple years later. And even then, those were just the main characters, like Han. My concern is that now we already have so many ideal/perfect versions of minifigures that I'm wondering where the new Death Star could go. Maybe superior printing over every surface, like the UCS Slave 1 Boba Fett?

    AT-ST might be serviceable enough. The main character droid looks a lot like the 2-1B in black, though maybe the head part is different. The ships are doing nothing for me, unfortunately.

    This is how rumors and multiple pages of guesses and wishlists start... Without any confirmation this is nothing more than a mod of a game. It's no different than adding lightsabers to Skyrim.

    Bought the first issue of the Chewbacca solo last week with the last issue of Obi-Wan and Anakin and the recent Star Wars. Chewie was good and I'll probably pick up the other four to complete the series. Still unsure what's happening with the main Star Wars comic. I think the current arc is going to end after issue #20 next month and the new arc will focus on troopers, but it also looks like Luke, Leia, and Han will still play some part.

    Leia and Padme are the most under-represented Star Wars minifigures, in my opinion. I agree that Leia has not been in many cheap sets, while Han and Luke have both been in $20 sets in the past few years - A-wing and Jabba's Skiff. Both droids have been in cheap sets, including the current Escape Pod. Chewie and Vader seem to be the only ones in really expensive sets, but both have had recent updates which somewhat justify that strategy.

    No one in the game is that stupid to buy an exclusive that isn't really exclusive. Trust me, I've been collecting action figures, prop replicas, busts, 12" figures, imports, vinyl figures, the list goes on for years and I don't see how anyone in the business of collectibles would ever chase something "exclusive" that wasn't really exclusive. It's not fooling anyone.

    The "2016 Movie!" and green slime look awkward to me, but what do I care, the box is just going in the garbage.

    I'm guessing 2017 will include another RO wave. That and TFA and Rebels with some OT added will probably be the wave model till the next Episode movie.

    Resellers and flipper pay as much attention to the collecting game as the fans and true collectors. That's why collecting can be so hard for people, because scalpers know where to go and how to hunt. No one is gonna be stupid enough to fall for this plan.

    As mentioned, I'm not a Rebels fan, but this can fit into the OT or TFA well enough. Wondering if he has an alt head print.

    But resellers aren't the only ones standing in line for hours for these. Real fans/collectors would be bummed, too.

    Rebel as in Rebels the show? Or an OT pilot?

    If you don't need the current Stormtrooper that everyone loves, then you can pick up past Stormtroopers with lesser printing fairly cheap. Or wait. The new Stormtrooper will probably appear in a battlepack in the next couple years. Otherwise, the current Imperial battlepack is pretty good.

    That's actually really cool. I like the brown/gold mix and parts usage. This is probably my favorite of the group.

    Lego designs sets with some amount of play-ability afterwards by selecting more pieces than needed so that people have lots of pieces to use. Oftentimes, an AFOL can look at a Lego set and figure out a more economic way of building it, but Lego goes with something bigger so people have more parts to use. I generally don't view it as parts inflation, because for every tiny cheese wedge, I find large bricks, plates, etc. In the end, this helps Lego offset costs.

    The color may not be a perfect match, but the exclusive Hoth Han Solo has a face side with goggles and a mask.
