  1. Ninjago has proven itself to be very, very successful; it is the only LEGO themes that has come back in full force after having been canceled. I have no recollection of this happening to any past theme, but correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. I like the sword and chest design, but the rest is, well...
  3. Considering the advances in Ninjago's tech, maybe the car can transform into that hover car?
  4. I hope the 1-hour specials are actually coherent, not just three episodes one after the other. Probably too much to hope for, but there's a chance.
  5. Does anyone have a picture of the blue-backed jumpers? I haven't spotted them in the show or the game.
  6. Don't worry about the large set looking retarded. Most sets do so in prelims.
  7. But why do the robots only have one arm each, then?
  8. I like the animation, it's just the plot that is completely and utterly horrible.
  9. I see Evo Walker as the perfect parts pack. Both types of double-socket connector, plus the Drilldozer connector, plus a Stormer XL piece. And really, who doesn't want an army of jumpers? EDIT: About the gimmick wave joke, I was actually planning a brain-possessed "normal"-scale jumper just before opening this topic.
  10. We already had that once, with the first agents release. This time, let's have carp or other fish with megablokin laser guns (laser beams refer to the stream of photons. Let's be scientifically accurate concerning our deathtraps, please).
  11. I personally hope for more Battle Machines in 2015. Heroes VS giant mobile plants maybe? That half-cocoon piece would be perfect for a Venus flytrap.
  12. This is the craziest thing I've seen on these forums for quite a while. Also, Valor's facial expression makes me imagine he's screaming "Bloody kids! Get off of my lawn!"
  13. Let's hope for a new manta ray or posable octopus design this time. Or maybe even a large lizard (oh how I want a nice molded Komodo Dragon figurine). Any of these sound like the sort of creatures a villain would weaponize.
  14. That image seems subtly different from the one that was posted earlier in the thread. Now, we know for sure it's the Overlord (or else some really major-league bad guy), because of that strange blackish-red vortex effect in the background. Strangely, the armor of the figure seems very high up on it's shoulders. I agree that the walker-mech-thingy seems to come in a different set than the temple; the aesthetics seem very different, and the walker might just be from the Ninja X-1 Charger set as an opponent for the Ninja.
  15. Errgghhh, why must LEGO torture me so? All of those great minifigs and their accessories (black Laval sword ), while the set itself is full of parts I have no use for.
  16. Well, after watching the episode again, I've realized that there's a very obvious and sensible in-universe reason for the heroes to have similar voices: it would be inefficient to produce slightly different models of voice box, especially when the only reason for it (recognition) can be done via other methods (such as radio signals). Any difference in the vocal patterns would have to be a learned phenomenon, which, seeing as the heroes probably undergo similar training periods before being sent out into the field, will still not produce significant differences.
  17. Sorry, but the image itself says that those "robots" are actually engines.
  18. I prefer the bags (over both boxes and canisters). They take up less space than canisters or boxes and they just look neater. And if LEGO´s going to continue this years awesome box bag art, then I definitely want to be able to keep the packaging.
  19. That picture is just one real "foot" segment of the vehicle and the rest of what you can see is just the box art. It all has to do with the perspective from which you look at it. At first I thought it was some sort of absurd bipedal vehicle.
  20. Von's Gym...HF, stop being sillier than the LEGO movie, you're doing too good a job for a supposedly serious theme. Also, looking at the stills, Tunneler Beast appears to use a short torso, the Waspix piece and one of the Stormer 3-length pieces, which are used for the middle pair of limbs and a 3-length red armor piece respectively.
  21. While I'm not that excited about Inferno returning, I am however looking forward to these: 70163 Toxikita’s Toxic Meltdown – 429 pcs – $40 70164 Hurricane Heist – 589 pcs – $70 I've liked the previous toxicity-themed Agents sets and have always been slightly saddened that I didn't get them. And Hurricane Heist sounds like a very strange set, as it's practically impossible to depict phenomena that can grow up to the size of Australia at that scale. Perhaps some sort of classical, cliched villianous superweapon with a world map showing the heroes what will happen if they don't deactivate it?
  22. What was the parts count on the Fire Temple?
  23. Depending on the quality and parts-pack-potential of the two Fire Temples, I might make combiners of all the Fire Temples simply for ridiculousness value.
  24. Nope, we've already seen that.
  25. I already mentioned those starfish when we first saw the sets.
