  1. Thanks for providing all the news. I am looking forward to 2016.
  2. Something like this seems fun, futurey, and still very much a crane.
  3. Does future or concept crane fit within fantasy crane, and therefore not allowed?
  4. I vote for keeping the deadline as originally stated. Build smaller people.
  5. I will keep that in mind, thanks. I think we already planned a hike, but I am not sure which one South Kaibab is my favorite in GC. Also Havasupi is amazing, but a little off the beaten path.
  6. I am feeling all nostalgic. Thanks.
  7. You are heading to my old stomping grounds. Enjoy the trip, and let me know what place you like the best. If you have have some time, make sure you hike down a portion of the Grand Canyon. You will get a better impression of how large it is.
  8. Zblj, here are two pictures of the assembly. Let me know if you need more. Full res here.
  9. Glad you like it.I only have this picture, which you may find with higher resolution here. The MOC is still built, so I can take some more pictures tonight to give you a little more information on the construction of the head. Stay tuned.
  10. I tried that. Three problems: blue parts from 42042 were out of my budget and timeframe, the diameter for the scale would be incorrect, and the boom would not be cylindrical.
  11. Yeah, I played with a number of Technic ideas for the tailboom, but this one looked the best. All the solutions were too big, or too small, or empty looking.
  12. Friends, It took a little too long, much like the ATS, but the MD600N if finally done. Much more at thirdwigg.com, and the Flickr album can be found here. As I child I would see the MD600N and MD520N flying up and around my house. It was time to honor the love for the aircraft. The MOC has the following features: Opening Doors Working dual Joysticks Working dual Foot Pedals Working collective lever Swashplate Collective control (much thanks to Efferman for many components of the design) Swashplate Cyclic control NOTAR rotation Six bladed rotor PF L drive with LiPo Battery Working Landing skids (I mention this only because getting it to support the MOC and not tip over was quite a task) Seating for eight I hope you all enjoy.
  13. Thanks again for the contest. 20:10 11:6 10:4 9:3 8:2 2:1 Well done all.
  14. Great job, and thanks for hearkening back to 8414. I very much like the paneling work over the front between the front wheels and the tracks.
  15. Never underestimate the changes to tradition a for-profit company is willing to make to increase sales. While the list of potential sets is longer than before, the additional sets may be a welcome change to purchasers. I think LEGO is making a good choice. I am surprised we have not yet seen the main rotors from 9396 or the Tumbler tires in another set, and looking at this list gives me the indication we could again. Cool news. Keep us posted.
  16. This is so awesome. It's early, but this one is sure to be a winner.
  17. I agree. But I'm sure there will be some great application someone will come up with that uses that rack alone. We will all kick ourselves, and say "why didn't I think of that?"
  18. You're right, but sometimes I want to take a lazy solution for a complex problem. This part would have shortened the design time for my MAN TGS in half.
  19. Well done. 42029 is a great set for MODs, much like 8081. I like all the changes you have made.
  20. Very cool. Thanks for sharing all the schematics. I can tell a lot of work was put into the planning and building of this MOC.
  21. Great job. I love all the features, and the scales works well with other models you have. It reminds me of your Container Truck from a while back. Well done.
