  1. Only a week left! Don't miss your chance to change the course of Eslandian politics!
  2. Chilis?! What chilis? Those are yellow peppers. Thanks! Thanks Ross! Yes, some Ninjago inspiration for sure. I liked the islander colors from the previous season so they'll probably show up again in a future islander MOC. Thanks Jeff!
  3. That is quite the fearsome trio of inquisitors and their fearsomeness is only slightly marred by the pilot's hat and the mustache! So many questions--we want answers!!
  4. This is a nice little interior... WHAT?! That is massive and magnificent, I just love these colors, from the sandy road to the green vegetation with hints of blue and then the nougat walls up until the dark red roof. Love your arched entryways, the layout is really great with the three different level roofs AND a tower. The lit torches are super eye catching too, nice touch.
  5. This is really far away from my toes so I hesitate to say go ahead and do whatever you like, but I don't believe anyone is doing much with the reptillians these days, so you probably do have free rein. At least as long as you start a bit open ended you'll be fine--"some of" the reptilians went here or did this after the catastrophe, or something like that, that leaves opportunities for ISC or any one else who was originally behind the reptillians to expand in a different direction with a different group if they'd like to in the future.
  6. Like I mentioned on Flickr, really like the technique here for cutting cubes out of the salt. Great use of wedges and slopes to keep everything looking irregular and organic. Love the border too! for the University credit!
  7. Lady Cora is (strangely) a very good cook and promised to turn their raw fish into ceviche. (You can't very well light a fire to cook your food on a wooden catamaran.) Thanks Thomas! Yeah, I love those colors and the printed shields and masks!! You'll be seeing a slightly bigger build from me using this same theme soon(TM)...
  8. Chapter I Chapter II Chapter III Chapter IV Chapter V Chapter VI Chapter VII Chapter VIII Chapter IX Chapter X Chapter XI Chapter XII Chapter XIII Chapter XIV Chapter XV Chapter XVI Chapter XVII Chapter XVIII Chapter XIX Chapter XX Chapter XXI PS. to Chapter XXI Chapter XXII Chapter XXIII (you are here) Chapter XXIV Some time ago, Lady Cora set out in a rowboat to search for Captain Argentum, who is lost at sea. She had some issues setting out, but after taking a few rowing lessons she made it past the surf. But of course Lady Cora wasn’t planning on rowing herself all the way around the Sea of Storms. She commandeered the first ship she came to. Then she hoisted the Corry flag and waited, knowing it would attract Captain Argentum like a magnet. Just barely squeezing this in before the one year mark since my last one... Got a bit sidetracked with current events in Eslandola, so poor Captain Argentum had to wait on his little raft... hopefully he won't be a total skeleton by the time Lady Cora finds him... This outrigger was pretty fun to build, used some kinda unusual pieces for the sail! Only a couple chapters left--so at this rate I should be done in 2024. C&C welcome!
  9. I don't think we really have any pre-age of sail history fleshed out, I would think you could probably make anything up provided it sounds fairly realistic. Atlantis-style definitely fits with the name Halos! On the other hand, I could almost see a trireme somewhere in current-day BoBS in one of these less western-inspired NPCs.
  10. Very cool MOC, I'm loving all the bright colors and the warm tropical feel it has!
  11. This is a lovely entry that just screams colonial council with the council-esque clock tower and the serious, resolute minifigures. Great build!
  12. She looks fast! Great rigging, good curves, and the yellow bananas on the back are a nice touch.
  13. Grover has it right--you can build for Nocty and even have a sig-fig with a Nocturnian background, but you need to declare current allegiance to one of the other guilds. And yes, that is theoretically so that your free build points will go for that guild. I have not thought about free build points in so long... I hope no one's been holding their breath waiting for those.
  14. I've heard the tent joke before, but it's still a good one. It kinda sounds like the interrogator knows more about the Marquis than Lady Bonny does. You've built up an impressive collection of Marquis MOCs over time, it's nice to see so many together. Love the starry sky in the last one!
  15. Oh, well, the tower is actually Navarre's which in retrospect, I'm surprised I totally failed to mention--or rather, he failed to mention, since he did most of this post. The squiggly line is made of stickers--he actually did that for an Aztec build and they finally found a second life here! Thank you!
  16. This is so good, I only wish I'd thought of it! What a lovely shiny pile!
  17. I don't know that I've seen olive used for underwater vegetation before--it looks really neat and gives a unique atmosphere to the scene! Some other creative parts use in there too!
  18. That milk is something powerful! It's a really cool print, where'd you get it? Neat to see you shaking up the sky technique a bit with the undersides this time. The cloud undersides are especially good.
  19. I was postponing commenting on this until I could read the story--and I'm glad I did, what an intriguing turn of events! You definitely made your character's future look exciting, can't wait to see where it goes! The bridge is lovely, what a beautiful curve! Really nice interior too, the tiny micros are all great.
  20. This dude's parents were ahead of their times! I love the very unique way you did the gold as the front two sides of your vignette. I was hoping we'd get a fun entry for this category and you do not disappoint!
  21. This is pretty fascinating, great use of those dragon arms and a very striking (and Nocturnian!) tree color!
  22. Is the Marquis going to learn to talk?!? Great job making the pictures look dark, it really adds to the story feel.
  23. The blue and sand green work really well for landscape colors and look very fun! Love those fancy windows and the olive wall too!
  24. Man, you really can't please everyone can you!
