I really like your upside down technique for these cannon! Light great was a great color choice too, not sure I've seen these kind of wheels in that color before!

The Return of the ... (Chapter 2)
Kai NRG replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I waited for time to read this a second time before I commented on it--you're doing a fantastic job with this story and I'm starting to get excited for my part! The cantina build has so much bustle going on and it's cool to see so much from previous stories popping up... even Gwuinees. I love this dry humor!! -
[Freebuild] Something was rotten in the forest of Notomys
Kai NRG replied to Eyrezer's topic in Guilds of Historica
So this was your first build!! It's not bad by any means, but you have come a ways. I do enjoy the way you've blended in that raised baseplate. You seem to have a thing for those! Enjoyed reading this story! But those poor martens... -
[OL - FotL Cat1B] Monomontachi go to war
Kai NRG replied to Khorne's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I love seeing people ace challenges I don't plan to enter. There have been many great groups of figures already but this one is really outstanding, you nailed the dark warrior samurai feel with these guys, from the mask and pose of the central figure to the fellow hiding out behind in the shadows. Great colors and composition too, the entire group is real eye candy. -

Fun little builds, really well photographed, and the round base works great! -
Great extra thick foliage here, the layers of different colored palm leaves look really good.

You're on quite a catamaran roll! They're all great, but this might be my favorite with that epic kraaken sigil and the unique sail layout. I'm supposed to be building a catamaran for my next Captain A build, so these are great inspiration!

Very cool troop, love the Samurai look!

Is that sand green and medium green? Looks really good together, gives the sand an almost grey look. Great job on these photo angles too, they really complement the story well. Hope they manage their escape this time!

The journey of Parzival - The Dream (Chapter II, part II)
Kai NRG replied to Zilmrud's topic in Guilds of Historica
You have such a great eye for desert vegetation, fantastic use of lime green here! Great job on the ruins too and I enjoyed the more cinematic photos you took for your story! -
The journey of Parzival - The Goat-Farmer (Chapter II, part III)
Kai NRG replied to Zilmrud's topic in Guilds of Historica
That cracked desert floor on top has me super impressed--very cool how you sank the dark tan lower than the rest of it! That really turns what might otherwise be a pretty ordinary bit landscape and makes it look epic. -
Top notch micro here, love your design both for the beached boats and the one with the oars on the water! Great little tents too--wisp of smoke, trees--all so good!

The Return of the ... (Chapter 1)
Kai NRG replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I, too, want to know how Lucy knows! Great idea to tell this story over a tavern conversation. King Fernando's room is great, love those tall windows and the Eslandola flag rug! And the tiny piano, so fun. -
[GoC] Marshalling in Spudkirk
Kai NRG replied to Spud The Viking's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This little vig has everything a build needs... the angled dock, the yellow wall, the vines--and a few rifle toting minifigures. Great stuff! -
The journey of Parzival - The Throne of Zamorah (Prologue, Part I)
Kai NRG replied to Zilmrud's topic in Guilds of Historica
The size of this throne room is magnificent, great pillar design, love the windows too, and I think I mentioned that throne on Flickr but it's worth mentioning again, super cool and brilliant use of the dragon head! The stained glass on the introductory build is also gorgeous! -
[OL FB] Foreign Legion Outpost, New Oleon
Kai NRG replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I really like how you're visiting this desert style which so far has been really underdeveloped in BoBS! This looks quite cool, the camel is a great touch and I like the way the blue Oleon flag pops. -
[SR-FB] Hilto, Pasha's house of the red petals
Kai NRG replied to omnihash_cz's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Really neat colors here, I do love this yellow roof and the lovely trees! -
[COR FB] Campaign Planning, Port Woodhouse
Kai NRG replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Aha! I was looking for leaf pieces, but in green, so I didn't see them. -
[COR FB] Campaign Planning, Port Woodhouse
Kai NRG replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I love these changes, the other build was great with the unique theme and all, but it's hard to beat these vibrant greens and the Spanish tile roof. Perfect curve on the three leaf vegetation there in front too. How did you attach the angled ones? -
[COR-FB] Seawatch Reconnaissance, El Oleonda
Kai NRG replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I do love this new horse color! The saddle design is also clever and I find that bending horn vine pretty cool too.- 11 replies

The shape of this dragon is really well done, I especially like the wings and tail. Nice effects with the portal too!
