  1. Custom junk sails. I was really impressed by those.
  2. That's one tough rope! Great concept and the tree looks really good!
  3. Finding interesting synonymous verbs, particularly for repetitive things like said, is definitely a BIG thing! Come to think of it, if we do put together a guide we could include a brief list of synonyms for very common words. I haven't done anything yet, actually, but I do think a writing guide could be helpful.
  4. Excellent junk JN, I really like the string of Chinese lanterns - great choice of color - and the black line design along the side. The double dragon heads is also super creative, and NPU with the pant leg there!
  5. Despite being a rushed vessel this looks very nice, great job on the shape and the rigging as well! Neat action shots also!
  6. Keep up the landlubber efforts KB - this is awesome! Great shape, fantastic job on the textures and all, and the stumps scattered around are neat too.
  7. I don't get a chance to delve into traditional Japanese subthemes very often, but when I do, I enjoy it! I built this for the set revamp category of the Tourney. The set I revamped was 6093 Flying Ninja Fortress. The Samurais are under attack! Under the left tower I added a bit of functionality with a shooting jewel rack... not that there's really much point to a shooting jewel rack, but - well... The build also has an interior: Without minifigures: Thanks for looking!
  8. Very nice ship Capt Wolf, the sails in particular look great, and the overall shape of the ship is good also. One thing I really like about your ships is how you tile the decks - makes them look nice and clean!
  9. Very nice build Legofin, the snow in particular looks really good!
  10. That dragon window in the background is a really cool piece! What set did it come in? The pillars look great too!
  11. Great build, the theater facade is really lovely! I'm especially impressed by the winged microfigures on top - ingenious!
  12. The water is indeed slightly boring, but otherwise this build is pretty awesome, great job with the vegetation and I really like how you built it into the jungle so to speak! The white flowers and palm leaves look great but what especially catches my eye as being something really simple but that I don't think I've ever seen before is the stones mixed right in with the green... it looks great as an overgrown pathway and is something I'm filing away mentally for future use! The rows of plants look really good too!
  13. That definitely does look much more Corry-ish!
  14. Great build Elostirion, really cool stretch from the gate back to the hall, and excellent job on the interior! The flower bushes are awesome too! I agree with blackdeathgr that a little more greenery - not even necessarily foliage, maybe just some cheese slopes and/or tiles - would have added somewhat but at least you do have some good height variations and the size of the whole MOC is very impressive!
  15. Welcome to Kaliphlin! You chose well! A temporary picture of your sig-fig would probably be the best solution, and then I would think you could go ahead and post other builds and participate in the challenges!
  16. Awesome prizes! Looks like I'd better get building!
  17. Wow! I love the concept! Very nice island, the irrigation system is ingenious and I really like all the different buildings! The spring in the middle adds a lot too, and the rows of cotton are really pretty!
  18. Great job finding dual expressions for everyone! The framed version looks really nice too!
  19. Fantastic ship Legostone, probably my favorite so far of all yours! The colors, especially the red and dark red, look epic and the rigging and shaping are very impressive! One suggestion I have though - why don't you try doing unmixed water (or a two-tone mix)? Personally I far prefer the way that looks, even if it means less water. At any rate you might want to give it a go for one of your next vessels!
  20. Great build, I really like the fact that it actually "works!" Nice choice of ground color also although I'm not quite sure it goes too well with the dark green tree. Speaking of the tree though, that's a wonderful technique - one of the best I've seen of the simpler kind!
  21. Very nice island, great work with the beach and the rock also! The broken ship looks really neat too, though it must have rode an awfully big wave to get all the way up there! The hut looks great and the hanging sharks are funny!
  22. Great Asian style build LJ, the colors work really well and the market seems to be appropriately bustling! Very nice tree out front too!
  23. Great take on Bregir's concept, the height is satisfying and the inset sections look really good. The white adds a lot too! Well done!
  24. Great work with the hill! The little tree is really cool too!
  25. Awesome that you guys are getting some story motivation out of this... I really like where it's going so far! And the microscale is great!
