Though i were in Copenhagen 2 days ago, my first sight of this series was in the Danish Føtex store in Holbæk. Unfortunately i dont have any money these days so i couldt pick any up. But they are there !! ... Not even the BR in Copenhagen , Strøget or BR Holbæk had them. So better pick up all the Elves of this series before i do !! :P -

The price of 1099 DK is rahter less than i expected and makes this a must have for me. Mostly because of the pieces included. But i also like the set. However we are gonna build it once, then split it apart and put all the pieces to real use making MOC´s !! :D

Dude that build is awesome. But your photography, light setup and photoshop skills just take all these shots to another dimension. Wicked post for sure .... I love it !! Edit: And i just realize its LDD .... Woot, skills anyhow !! :P

Thanks for the links and references... Those parts are beautiful .... We definately have to get some of these ..... Quite expensive though. .
-

Now, thats much better than your WIP i saw on another forum, i love it.... Then again we are amongst the hugest Doctor Who fans in the world, but i bet other recognize the ease and calm in this moc... More is not always what shines the most ... Its AmAZiNg !!! .... I think you did a great job .. Good luck with the judges. :)

Wow, your build looks awesome so far, the tan trees looks really cool. About the dark red inverted slope, i dont really have any ideas, except if its not gonna be to visible at the end, maybe use some tan plates or something instead. But it does look great so far. :) Thanks . :) .... We have only builded a few big builds, and the challenge to withhold interest is the biggest issue .... However we hope to finish it .. Just saying .. lol ... Anyhow, i thought i had the time to show some pictures of our progress, but that will have to wait a few days. We have made the base for the build now, and the technic structure for the inside of the tree is done .... And a few more tablescraps for elven structures and buildings... Pictures in a couple of days.

If it MOC´s that we have build together, the kids can play around with it as much as they like. Mostly, we build, take pictures of the stuff and rip it apart ( Only a few Doctor Who mocs of ours that is kept intact ) ... Mostly i keep my own builds on shelfes located up close to the ceiling. But when they are done and we have taken pictures of them, the kids can rip them apart as they wish. Sometimes though, accidents happen. They "accidently" dropped our custom Death Star on the floor before it was even finished ( Cause all the interior was damn fun to play around with. ) However it only took a day or so to rebuild, and we got an even better Death Star that way .... Ill say LEGO is to be played with, and the joy of rebuilding a MOC over and over is worth whatever accidents the kids or one self might have.

Im pretty sure thats not the one ( 80%) .... And ive continued searching for the set i saw in the store, still no luck. The "castle wall" was made up of 2-3 big pieces of bley and the soldier was in front of it as i recall it. Is their a picture somewhere of the boxset front for the above link, cause i cant seem to find it. Im seriously beginnig to think this is a new set yet unseen ... Then again im not usually that lucky. :P Thanks for the quick reply btw. EDIT: I went back to the shop this evening. Two things happened. First of all,the set i saw was sold out. Asking the person working there if she recalled it, she said their were a dragon in it. So it was probably the set above ( She had no way to look it up. ) ... Then again she wasnt totally sure, maybe she just said that cause i asked. Secondly, they are closing the shop so everything was 50% off price. Now i will have to go back tomorrow and spend some serious cash there .... Dammit, and my budget sucks this month already :P

Ive just went to a small store where i live. There were 2 Kingdoms sets that i have never seen before..... Just very very small sets. I didnt pay much attention to them. But now after having left the store i felt like i could use them. Having tried to look them up on brickpedia and google looking for pictures they are now where to be found, so im imagining they could be new. The set contained just one soldier with a sword and a very small castle structure ( My guess would be some 30-40 bricks) . The price was 80 danish kroners = 16$ .... Usually a set this size would cost some 8$ in the US i bet .... Any suggestions to which set i saw ? .... Or i might run straight down there to buy them both. PS: I usually takes pictures of sets that catches my interest but this didnt till i left the store ... So i cant even help with set number for now unfortunately.

Lovely little MOC .... Even though its January, it still brings the cosy feeling of christmas back to mind . :)

So, since we have played around with some "tablescraps" of how we are gonne build a tree and elven structures. I took some pictures since i had a feeling that the kids would have builded further on what we have done so far ( and i needed to know how the base of the tree looked like for later ), i might as well post what we have done so far. The base structure of the inside of the tree will be a stronger technic setup, but i feel we have what we are gonna go for. So we have made a bridge, a gateway ( well, half of it ), a balcon and the base of a tree ..... We have only made one side of the tree trying out different methods and textures to find out what will look the nicest. Let us know what looks off and what looks great. That would be greatly appreciated. Also think of all of this as a WIP, cause thats what it is ..... Nothing will probably look like this when we are done. Thanks in advance :)
-
That does look nice. Quite a lot of nice techniques for adding Elvish textures ... Well done. :)
-
Any special camera you got yourself ? ... Now im just guessing and i dont know what you aimed for .... Turn of the flash on the camera and do a lightsetup. Would be much much better. Just my humble oppinion :)
-
Oh ... Never seen this .... Cant wait to se more ... Looks promising so far :)
-
Lovely ..... We would really like to try one in the future, just got to many projects going right now ..... Will their be a second version ?

Dark red with dark bley does sound interesting ..... If we had the pieces we would go Dark red and tan .... However we build with what we are having in stock .... I somewhat should have mentioned that in my post above. Looks like we are gonna go brown at the root of the tree, further up, dark bley then light grey and somewhat tan up the top, with green and lime leafes ... Thats our thought for now at least. For the elfen structures, our thoughts are tan at the lowest level, then white and and transparent at the top ... But as mentioned its all tablescraps for now .. Just to let you all know .. Edit: Oh yeah ... Our tree is gonna be at least 5 floors :P
-
Ive almost finished the base of how we are gonna make the tree. But still not to the extend where im gonna publish first WIP ... And we havent even gotten to a final layout of how the elfen buildings should look like though we have been putting loads of small LEGO together to figure out texture. Right after our next Classic Space installment, this will be first priority .... Right now we are just thinking of it inbetween making table scraps :P
-
Good job on this one ... I definately enjoyed it .... And not at all how i would have expected "the end" to be like ..
-
Thanks a lot. Soon another "ClassicFied" portion will be added !! :D
