Mister Phes replied to omnihash_cz's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
ARRRR!!! You're a goodin', Jack! But don't rush! There's no expectation to bang out a blog post in one sitting. -

It's beautiful! Be good to also see some close-ups of the main building. @Jack Sassy, what are your thoughts on it's suitableness for a blog post? -
According to the LEGO History: LEGO Pirates article on LEGO.com, the blue coat are indeed French.

[OFFICIAL] "How to Be a Pirate" LEGO Little Golden Book

Yeah, the strap is reversed! -
Yet I was still able to download the image and observe the size to be 6000x1934. So that's plenty large enough to chop it up into 4 individual images and extend the background as needed. But might always wait for better shots. Untitled by Jan Kusters

Very nice! I'll have to figure out how to adapt those to Instagram image dimensions. I.e. 1080x1080. What be the name of this vessel anyway?

Shouldn't that total 3 copies? Or are you making your niece and nephew share? So you're drawing these conclusions from looking at the cover? And not from a news source I've missed? Thank ye -

There has been no mention of minifigures being included. They were only included with the comic released in 1989 but not the previous hard cover books. -
[WIP] Jack Stone Hulled ship WIP experiment. NOW COMPLETE!
Mister Phes replied to Elephant Knight's topic in Pirate MOCs
I've always been curious about the MOCing potential of the 4+ Pirates sets. The sets in their own right were hideous due to their excessive use of large parts but they I speculated they may have potential for use in larger builds. There haven't been a great deal of Pirate MOCs utilising 4+ parts and not being a MOCer myself, I've had not feel inclined to experiment. So it will be interesting to see how this ship turns out. -

Dear sir, could you please provide the link to the Amazon page ye purchased your copy from? But it seems you're right. In my searches both, Amazon and Penguin Random House list 5 July, 2022 as the release date. -
Brilliant! It's also relaxing to watch. Is this the first pirate minifigure you've drawn?

[LEGO IDEAS] "Treasure Cove" and "Pirate Arsenal" by SkywardBrick
Mister Phes replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
We already have this topic but it doesn't link to the individual subtopic, nor does each LEGO Idea submission have a topic in this forum. -
Well then, the Blog Post is done then!
-
Professor, do you post MOC photos to any social media profiles like Instagram, Flickr, etc?
-
Another fine reimagining, Mister Goodman! You've got the 2009 red bricks combined with 2015 Soldier flags - but are they custom torsos I spy?
-
Both were submitted to LEGO Ideas and both have expired with very little support. Treasure Cove The newest addition to my piratey themed builds! Need a place to stash yer plunder? Pile it up in a hidden cove! Why dig a big hole to bury it when you can hide it away in a cave? The Treasure Cove is a great place for pirates to store the treasure from their high-seas adventures; and while they're at it, enjoy some rum and relaxing fishing. Includes: Pile of gold and treasure Small dock with dinghy to transport the goods Barrels and bottles of rum for thirsty pirates Swords and flintlocks to protect the booty 5 Pirates View on LEGO Ideas Pirate Arsenal View on LEGO Ideas
