  1. Thank ye for the additional pictures! I can seem them minifigs much more clearly now! Sold it? May I ask to who? And for how much?
  2. Well, it is indeed a superb version of the Black Pearl - you certainly haven't spared any expense on the details! Have you got any photos of the minifigs taken a bit closer? I can spot the occasional minifig here and there, but there's so much detail they kind of get lost.
  3. So this is the ship that was used as the basis for the HMS Imperial?
  4. The Classic Pirates already follow you on Instagram - so how about that?
  5. What are me choices? Is this pirates versus pirates? Or is the darker ship pirates and the lighter ship imperial?
  6. Looking forward to the next update!
  7. It's fantastic! The Classic Pirates will follow you on Flickr right away! How long did the Black Pearl take to build?
  8. The Rococo Aristocrat blog post has been published on Classic-Pirates.com. And here we learn exactly what a Rococo Aristocrat is.... And a big thanks to @Samarth our latest Facebook Group Moderator for jumping on this so quickly in the group - because, as per usual, I'm so caught up with external matters and would have missed this minifig had he not take the initiative to write a post about it.
  9. The Rococo Aristocrat will be released as part of LEGO® Minifigures Series 24 will be available on LEGO.com from January 1, 2023.
  10. You, myself and @TalonCard seem to have a lot of LEGO Pirates promotional material and related memorabilia we could put in there. And we've all shared some in this forum or via social media, but eventually it get buried and often forgotten. So an intuitive web interface could make it vastly more accessible. Although, in the case of Culverin, I probably should obtain high resolution scans of the the Pirates Ahoy Expo booklet first to provide the necessary context - I think the original scans from 2005 are only 600x800 so not really holding up to today's display standards.
  11. Aye, I just haven't figured out how to approach this. We need a new section for Classic-Pirates.com called "The Vault" or something like that. Then we can fill it with archival content that doesn't fit within the MOC or News parent categories.
  12. Yeah, that's a good one! Posted that on the Classic Pirates Instagam a few weeks back. Which I later noticed you linked to in your post!
  13. Great thinking! I've always wondered what a pirate-themed MOC would look like using this baseplate. I even own one... but never had the time to build anything with it.
  14. Fight duel him for it!
  15. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
  16. So what's for dinner anyway? Just booze?
  17. @Captain Braunsfeld and @Jack Sassy here's another ye may wish to consider for the frontpage.
  18. So who won this epic sea battle?
  19. Now we just need to populate this with @evancelt's micro soldiers
  20. That would be brilliant - then we could actually see your good work!
  21. Aint that the truth! Even though this is not technically pirates, there is a generous amount of overlap. The use of the conquistador minifigs ties this into Classic Pirates nicely.
  22. I haven't built any of mine yet so I cannot comment from experience but this is a complaint I've observed from others. Still, when we compare Ray the Castaway to a classic set based on similar concept, 6259 Smugglers Shanty/Palm Hideout, how do you think it measures up?
  23. Nice review - thank ye for sharing!
  24. @Marooned Marin, it has been done! + SUPPORT NOW
